After Fang Ziyang’s death, he realized that he was actually the scum second male lead in a dog-blooded sweet romance novel.

His forever kind-hearted classmate turned out to be the protagonist in the book.

And his mature and wealthy father was the official partner of that person.

In the novel, his elder brother, father, fiancé, and uncle all doted on the protagonist immensely, letting him live a life full of love and happiness.

As for him, he targeted the protagonist at every turn, framed the innocent, and was ultimately kicked out of the family by his own father. His elder brother was the one who personally killed him, making him a despicable cannon fodder.

He was the vicious male character in the campus bullying incidents, the universally despised and condemned enemy.

Now, he was reborn on the day when fate took a turn towards the abyss.

Fang Ziyang first took out his phone and changed his Weibo username from “Fang Ziyang” to “Troublemaker Little Lord”.

Then… he posted on Weibo.

[Troublemaker Little Lord: Hello, everyone. I’m Fang Ziyang. Of course, you can also call me the protagonist in the recent campus bullying incident. I’ve noticed that you’ve all been having a blast, cursing at me until your green hats fall off. As a kind-hearted person, I’ll arrange something for you. – See you on Orange Live tomorrow night at 8 PM.]

Fang Ziyang smiled, “Since I’m not in a good mood, let’s make sure no one else has a good night’s sleep.”

From today, heaven and earth shall witness.

The story is fun! Would definitely recommend if you are interested in a face slapping / revenge story, with subplot of romance.

It is slightly xenophobic, and can be offensive to some sensitive readers. But its not as much as most ppl are writing...

Example:

1. Body odor had always been a common annoyance & problem in daily life abroad, and most people experienced it. Although everyone had gotten use to it, There were still awkward moments because of it.... (LMFAO... it's so ridiculous n I can't even get offended)

3.7 is well deserved, no need to up rate it or down rate it, Actually the idea is ok, I don't have a problem with cliche, even with many s*upid villain excluded the mo.. bla bla forgot but he was the darkest one, but... with how big the background and the setting is.. and to make an ending like that is so.... wasting, agree with someone who said the amount romance of this novel is not enough.. they more focus on revenge, I think this romance is sub plot not... more>> even slow romance, what're u considered as slow? They just bearly contacted with phone.. then connected with a fact that they were in the same realm (wealthy family) then struggle the way of break the struggle? Communication after Communication they get together, then spread dog food flirting, and just feel that the ML and romance just became a pickle that may or not may u eat, it doesn't matter.. in previous life MC had baby but now.. he don't, idk maybe there's extra or maybe not, so tge ending is just literary mc's ending of his revenge :''' *sigh

I even trun off my brain.. keep happy with those propragand, and try to focus on whatever MC do, at least MC is ok person for me, I love how crazy he is <<less

Okay I've gone through the trouble of completely reading this F#$@$novel! I really want to swear because of how depressed this book has made me. The Romance in this is really really really almost non existent so if you are here for that you might as well give up😞 (they kiss twice by chapter 90 or something. They do get married and they do get a baby but that's just mentioned basically. They make a cute couple but the scientific and computer stuff crammed in completely overshadowed it. It's crammed... more>> full of unnecessary detail).

The family schemes with the baby switching was smart and we'll thought out. The plot about the plane crash too.

I read it because the plot is good but the author slaughtered all the positives with propoganda and stereotypes about foreigners like a whole chapter about how foreigners stink or have bad body odor. I'm guessing that's where a lot of people stopped reading. The author also insinuated that foreigners have no loyalty for their countries etc etc and think china is backwards with women who bind their feet or people who live in mud houses. Honestly do you think we don't have the means to form a respectful understanding of the culture with today's internet and ease of travel?! I get how that's just the background setting but the novel is set in a modern world. This just doesn't work.

It was just upsetting. And I've read some similar paragraphs in other novels and that was okay but this author can't go a chapter without some sort of propoganda. Did the ccp start writing bl?!

I liked that the couple got sweeter after getting together but it just feels like sugar to keep you reading.

I like the schemes and conspiracies but again without the romance the book is just too depressing. I like that the ML also goes to the past life and gets revenge (second to last extra chapter).

I liked the extra at the end with the original owner of the protagonists body. It could be an awesome story on its own (if the author isn't cramming it full of stereotypes again).

I also like that they are a power couple with talent individually.

But honestly give me back my time so that I never fell into the hole of reading this book. I don't recommend it. Which is sad because it could've been such a good book😭 author why! <<less

I won't rate yet as I'm not finished, but wanted to get some of my thoughts down

Dropped at chapter 105, most of the storylines were complete and I had started losing interest at chapter 65. Skimmed to the end, but nothing interesting.

The nationalism was too much, the focus of the story shifted from revenge to the competition and the romance was lackluster.

Pros

  • There is face slapping in the beginning
  • The main character is kinda likable
  • The ML is even more likable (such a cutie)
  • Family drama isn't too drawn out
  • I like the origins of the space and recipes even if it is flawed, I found it interesting
  • The ending with the real Yan Tong is cute
  • The author does well in keeping the original and 2nd story separate
    Spoiler

MC was the protagonist in the original story, but then Yan Tong crossed over and became the protagonist, making MC the villain. This

is the MC's 3rd life. MC only remembers the 2nd life and Yan Tong only has infor from the 1st so they are both working on similar, but different stories)

    [collapse]
Cons

  • The face slapping is anticlimactic at times
  • The nationalism is getting too annoying (I expect it in Chinese novels, but this one is starting to make it's whole identity)
  • The romance takes a BIG backseat to the revenge plot and competition
  • The MC is kind of bland
  • Didn't like how the Shi friend's storyline was played out
All in all the story has a solid beginning that turned annoying and then just boring. Most likely won't read again.

the author doesnt know what deodorant is lol 2/5

there is a lot of weirdness with foreigners in this novel and also it comes off as gov propoganda with how they shove how good the chinese gov is in your face and how capitalism is the devil. The entire chip thing was really weird too. So many plot holes and its so illogical, but its fine ig bcs MC is a mary sue and everything he says and does is right.

i ended up skipping every scene that included foreigners, tech, or... more>> competition by the end which was abt 2/3rds if the last half lol. It was really unbearable. <<less

I started this without reading any of the reviews or looking at the stars because there are some homophobic trolls that gave danmei low scores on purpose, and well, it was just okay.

After I finished this, I looked at the reviews again and have to agree with them that the uhh... nationalism kinda caught me off guard. HOWEVER, I have to say, prior to chapter 50 (?) - it's the arc with the hackers thing - the nationalism/patriotism wasn't really taken to a whole new level. Like it was just... more>> your normal revenge danmei. It was during this hacker arc that it took off... and boy oh boy, it took off until the end of the novel, no joke.

One reviewer said they've got a weird thing about foreigners, and I unfortunately have to agree with this too lol. Westerners, especially the young ones, do take baths regularly, and when they don't, they do use deodorant and perfume. Not sure what is going on there but okay...

But yeah I do feel like the entire novel is a big propaganda which was kind of weird. The first half wasn't that weird, honestly, it's just the rest of the novel was very weird for me to read. But maybe it's a me problem.

There's a lot of problems and plot holes, yes, and the romance felt... well, it wasn't badly written per-say but I'm not going to remember this CP at all, if you get what I'm saying. Some of the face-slapping scenes were good but some felt anti-climatic
Spoiler

like his half brother getting sent to prison by their father like??? What's up with that.

[collapse]

I'd give this a solid 2.5/5 because I actually did enjoy the first part... like 1/4 of the novel. <<less

It was good up until MC went to the computer science research competition thing. It got a little weird... I really wish I read the reviews before wasting my time with this novel.😵‍💫

Like... The brain washing is intense and also brain dead. It’s so funny how the MC is supposed to be smart but the author is just totally dog poop. Don't worry about plot or romance!!! The author isn’t here to entertain or anything. Just heavily indoctrinate you into trusting china and giving your personal information to them.☠️ Also... more>> making anyone who isn’t Chinese seem like a racist and bigot.

The propaganda and s*upidity in this novel just became too unbearable. I can’t even read a chapter now without having to skim it and then skip it. The MC practically forgets about getting revenge too (like what about the two old people who hustled him as a kid?). <<less

This is a good novel. I just don't get it why some readers doesn't like it when its not too real, like girl come on this is a work of fiction what do you expect? 😵 I really like the MC, he's fearless and decisive. This is a breath of fresh air cuz some MCs are airhead and indecisive.

This novel is five star for me✨

I didn't know that I needed a face slapping story until I read this one.

as the previous reviewer said, the face slapping is really heavy.

Spoiler

MC face slapped people when they're about to do something harmful to him. So, the villains aren't exactly innocent, but the damage would probably way too heavy compared to the actual damage the villain thought they did/would do. Prominent example would be the shi sister. The villains were indeed vicious to MC's previous life

[collapse]

I'm really curious about how the author would close the story, but the patriotism in the middle was a bit too much for me.. I want to continue but I couldn't keep on reading...

I guess I'll continue sometime later

Edit: I skipped right to the last 2 chapters, lol. Everything wrapped up very nicely for MC.

Spoiler

so, our main villain, the white lotus, ended up 'helping' MC, because he think he was cornered and wanted to drag someone else down together with him. He testified false statements for it. And it's kind of weird that an old family the size of a behemoth can get destroyed with only one court.. even if the cases were to be numerous, the family is supposed to be so big you can't possibly count their tails? Well, as long as MC is happy, I guess..

I debated about whether to give it my actual rating or a better rating to boost it's currently low one. I decided to just give what I felt it deserved. This story started out good - a bit cliche but very satisfying and some nice revenge plot. I would have easily given a 5 star rating at this point.

However, towards the end, the author seemed to run out of real plot and instead decided to inundate us with an unrealistic international science 'competition' (expo? World fair?) that was basically just... more>> describing the futuristic technology the author wishes exists, but actually sounds dangerous and poorly thought out. For example, who believes beauty in a bottle could be used with no side effect? I remember there being an adaptation of the King Arthur story that had something similar, and when the witch stopped taking the beauty potion, she instead became hideous. Also, doesn't this just exacerbate the wealth gap by extending it into a wealth beauty gap? The perfect eye serum sounded so nice, but I don't believe bad eyesight is caused by toxins. And as someone who thinks facial recognition is already pretty distopian, the idea of an ID chip implanted into a person's brain sounds horrifying. Imagine getting malware, but in your brain... I guess some people can philosophically argue that our brains are already negatively impacted by a host of things (drugs, alcohol, social media, propaganda), but it's the difference between you deciding to brew some odoriferous beer in your basement and someone else deciding to convert your home into a Sriracha factory. Similarly, I don't care how sleep deprived I am, I would never trust an application that can create (trap) me in a dreamworld of its creation. Anyways, since I didn't buy into these "innovations", the latter half of the story, which focused on describing everyone's effusive adoration towards these inventions, was so much nonsense. More than that, the author also obviously has minimal (no?) knowledge of how programming works, so reading the tech development made me cringe. C Language Cultivation does a much better job at integrating programming into a fictional novel.

Finally, I usually am not fazed by nationalism in novels (western novels have it too, it's just disguised better and westerners are too used to it to notice). I even slightly understand the author's point about some countries population needing deodorant more than others (and not using it - if you're in Europe you know many prefer using cologne instead). Many East Asians don't create the same kind of body odor as westerners, so this is probably the author converting that observation into an offensive subplot within the story. However, the more into the competition arc the story went, the more tired I was of the need the author had to make competing nations seem petty and antagonistic. I think a couple decades ago, most of the world did consider China a third world country (oh sorry, 'developing' country), and this has sparked a sense of indignation and us-against-them mentality in China. However, the narrative has changed so much in the last couple of years, but the author was writing as if they were stuck in perception from 1990's. Consuming that narrative repeatedly near the end of the story (it never stops) was so exhausting, and just goes to show that the misrepresentation and misunderstanding goes both ways.

This depth of understanding (or lack thereof) is a problem throughout this story. It's fine if it was shorter or stuck to being purely a revenge story, but it's very noticeable at this length, and after the attempt at world politics analysis. Villains are all s*upid and vicious, driven only by greed and with little true human connection. The protagonists are good even if they're bratty and obnoxious. I found myself scratching my head many times at the mc's "brilliant" comebacks towards the end. Is he supposed to be somehow defeating reporters with sarcastic innocence? Is he pulling a Blake Lively?

I don't think this is a bad story, just that it went on too long. If it ended at chapter 70, the flaws would have all been minor enough to ignore, and the story would have been an engaging if cliche one. Kudos for the translator's dedication in completing this novel - there were some confused names in the beginning, but it was overall very readable. <<less

Like other reviewers, I really liked the story at the beginning, but at around chapter 60 the story started shoving Chinese nationalism down our throats. It was like the author was paid to put in so much propoganda and forgot at the beginning so just shoved it in from there on in the story. It goes from "ok, this is a bit much but tolerable" to "Is this a story? Or just propaganda?"

As other people say, when the author started depicting foreigners as imbeciles who don't know what deodorant or... more>> showers are, that's when it lost me.

The story went from a 4 star story all the way to 0.5 star, and the 0.5 is for the translator. Who is doing a great job. <<less

Minus 1 star because the vicious villain white tea bit*h wasn't tortured enough, I can't believe he got off so easily.

Also why did 2 scumbags gets some sort of redemption none of them deserve any of it.

The romance is just here and there, ML is like a Monk that act like a virg*n and they keep calling him a old man at 28. Also can he read minds, like MC do anything he knows what hes thinking which is just weird.

I really enjoy the face slapping in this novel, the... more>> only thing I like the most. There was lack of it in the end the grandma and green tea bit*h they killed ton of ppl come on

The nationalism seems over the top, other countries was bought in as additional villains because the green tea bit*h was just too weak and getting toyed by MC.

Also these men birth pellets is so advanced but everything else is so old style until MC and his brother bough out the advance tech. <<less

Hm, reading the other reviews I was quite concerned about the propaganda matter regarding foreigners etc, but decided to still give it a try.

Our MC is Fang Ziyang who was reborn after his death back to the age of 18 after having lost his unborn child. Now he still had his "doting" father, was still the young master of his family and still had his fiance. But knowing the future, this cute dumpling became one filled with black sesame. Cute on the outside, but black on the inside :D

He managed... more>> to use his knowledge of the future to avoid all the pitfalls he had to suffer from in his last life and did so quite beautifully. Not only did he find his true bloodrelated brother, but also fell in love. I don't want to spoiler right now, because since my stockpile has quite a few new chapters, I decided to start reading this novel once more from the beginning. Which is why I will certainly edit this review at a later point with more information.

The reason why I'm writing this review now is simply because above mentioned propaganda matters and I want to point out that from my point of view, there's no such thing. To be honest, maybe I'm too dense, but if I hadn't read the other reviews, I wouldn't even have noticed anything amiss.

It's not that all foreigners are labelled to not know how to take care of their personal hygiene, but the author is pointing out a serious matter. Let me explain a few examples. MC has recipes from his ancestors which came from the interstellar era, some of them work like the spiritual spring water mentioned in any apocalypse-related storylines. They remove all impurities, make people handsome and beautiful and so on and so forth, you know what I mean xD

Especially foreigners are very interested in those, because they suffer from body odors or pimples and other matters which in itself is indeed something people are suffering from. The reason for this can for one point be genetic and for the other they can be influenced by eating and living habits. If you only eat fast food, sweets and other unhealthy food nonstop, you'll notice you won't only gain weight but also suffer from pimples and other impurities in your skin among other matters. If you're lucky, you can remedy it by changing your eating habits. (Yes. Food is just one point, smoking and other unhealthy hobbies can influence your body as well.)

But there are also people who eat and live healthy but still suffer from body odors and other issues which are indeed genetic, so no matter how often they take a shower per day, or cover themselves in deodorants and stuff, they can't cover up odors that are caused by sweating etc. And the author just happened to pick those examples to point out the effectivity of MC's potions. Nothing more and nothing less.

So before you decide to drop the novel or not even starting it, because you think the author is hating against any non-chinese people, don't rush to believe it and give it a try first. <<less

I'm on chapter 46 and can't believe that this story has the energy to end at 124 chapters. I can surmise what happened next from the comments and how the story developed, but I'm not finishing this and I'm rating it while the story hasn't deteriorated much.

IMO, this kind of story would be perfect to end under 100 chapters, 70-ish sounds right with how the plot was going. Each chapter is long, and with it being divided into two chapters, it felt even longer. Feels like a chore, some chapters... more>> are missing paragraphs and I lose interest.

I read this in search for face-slapping. This story set it so nicely but dropped it at the climax. I have no idea why but none of the face-slapping moments are satisfying except for the first live streaming. The rest are so... subpar? I get that MC had to pretend to be the fool, but he chose lackluster methods that are lacking oomph. Face-slappings were the embodiment of 'I've taken off my pants but you give me this?!'

Character-wise, I like MC and his motivations. I like that he knew it himself that hatred is what fueled him. He's careful but brazen, it's just that... for such a fiery character, he's not doing much drama? I think it'll be okay for him to harass/make trouble with the villain more with his troublemaker status, but he's pretty tame and lowkey. This opinion is mainly because I'm looking for drama/face-slapping.

ML was a breath of fresh air, until he assumed an elder identity to control MC. Ugh, I prefer dominant CEO who knows that he is possessive rather than relying on his age and custom to meddle in MC's life. I really like the maiden heart but his pure and naivete can't cover my dislike of him using his elder status and the person MC like (when MC doesn't even know that it's him). Also, romance is nonexistent as far as I've read, it's mainly about revenge (and revenge is taking a break so romance is growing a bit in chapter 40s).

The nationalism and dislike against foreigners are already shown since the beginning from descriptions about Rick, but I'll ignore this part.

I don't really recommend this one, but if you're in desperate need of face-slapping read, you can read up to chapter 40s, or even less. I'd say stop after the livestream, but it's probably too early and you'd want to know how the revenge develop. Chapter 40s at least has finished one major revenge moment. <<less

the whole golden finger thing could have honestly been dropped, and it would have been fine, it made the MC seem less impressive because he was relying on information he didn't discover

. And the author spent so much time talking about how great these things were, it was boring.

The ML felt so much more interesting in the beginning, because he didn't fall in love at first sight and having the dichotomy of being a normal cold CEO ML but also innocent and blushing was cute. But he quickly becomes a love brained weirdo who doesn't do much in the story.

And the fact that they don't show them having a child, which is such an important part of the MC's motivations and their relationship is baffling to me.

Another weakness is to me, most of the villains didn't feel dangerous, but that was always in contrast with the story saying how excellent they were. The revenge felt satisfying, but you never felt the "how is the MC going to get out of this mess" thrilling sort of feeling.

If I had to describe this novel in one phrase, it would be 'revenge served well'! Solid 4 star.

The face slapping, revenge plots, the unexpected temperament of the ML and a truly refreshing take on the idea of switched children in this scenario was pretty original (only for novel purposes, I do not condone any kid of action in the story to take place in real life).

The few things that took away from it being a solid 5 star was how rushed the ending was, the sudden change in the... more>> antagonist's hatred toward the MC (unless they were trying to replicate his mom?), and the authors extreme aggression (?) /dislike of foreigners if you get triggered like I certainly was this is not the novel for you. The MC's revenge was quite satisfactory. Just don't expect any intricate details on how those revenge were served. The author has VERY limited technical knowledge.

I gave this a solid 3 stars for the face-slapping only. If you're in it for the romance, it's really just an after-thought to the revenge scheme, and they only get together at about chapter 77. The ML is probably one of the moist boastful lovers... lol. Really, I felt like it was just one-sided for a really long time then boom, they're together. Ok. The ending wasn't great. I felt like the it was OOC for the antagonist, YT, to suddenly switch his hatred to someone else in the... more>> very last chapter. It was a bit off.

There is nationalism and some foreignerism (I made this up) and it's pretty strong, so if you don't like those themes, skip it.

Thanks to the translator for finishing this up (they were going to drop it). The face-slapping in the first 50 or 60 chapters was really good. <<less
