Rebirth of the Tool Man in a Pampered Protagonist Novel

After Fang Ziyang’s death, he realized that he was actually the s*um second male lead in a dog-blooded sweet romance novel.

His forever kind-hearted classmate turned out to be the protagonist in the book.

And his mature and wealthy father was the official partner of that person.

In the novel, his elder brother, father, fiancé, and uncle all doted on the protagonist immensely, letting him live a life full of love and happiness.

As for him, he targeted the protagonist at every turn, framed the innocent, and was ultimately kicked out of the family by his own father. His elder brother was the one who personally killed him, making him a despicable cannon fodder.

He was the vicious male character in the campus bullying incidents, the universally despised and condemned enemy.

Now, he was reborn on the day when fate took a turn towards the abyss.

Fang Ziyang first took out his phone and changed his Weibo username from “Fang Ziyang” to “Troublemaker Little Lord”.

Then… he posted on Weibo.

[Troublemaker Little Lord: Hello, everyone. I’m Fang Ziyang. Of course, you can also call me the protagonist in the recent campus bullying incident. I’ve noticed that you’ve all been having a blast, cursing at me until your green hats fall off. As a kind-hearted person, I’ll arrange something for you. – See you on Orange Live tomorrow night at 8 PM.]

Fang Ziyang smiled, “Since I’m not in a good mood, let’s make sure no one else has a good night’s sleep.”

From today, heaven and earth shall witness.

Okay I've gone through the trouble of completely reading this F#$@$novel! I really want to swear because of how depressed this book has made me. The Romance in this is really really really almost non existent so if you are here for that you might as well give up😞 (they kiss twice by chapter 90 or something. They do get married and they do get a baby but that's just mentioned basically. They make a cute couple but the scientific and computer stuff crammed in completely overshadowed it. It's crammed... more>> full of unnecessary detail).

The family schemes with the baby switching was smart and we'll thought out. The plot about the plane crash too.

I read it because the plot is good but the author slaughtered all the positives with propoganda and stereotypes about foreigners like a whole chapter about how foreigners stink or have bad body odor. I'm guessing that's where a lot of people stopped reading. The author also insinuated that foreigners have no loyalty for their countries etc etc and think china is backwards with women who bind their feet or people who live in mud houses. Honestly do you think we don't have the means to form a respectful understanding of the culture with today's internet and ease of travel?! I get how that's just the background setting but the novel is set in a modern world. This just doesn't work.

It was just upsetting. And I've read some similar paragraphs in other novels and that was okay but this author can't go a chapter without some sort of propoganda. Did the ccp start writing bl?!

I liked that the couple got sweeter after getting together but it just feels like sugar to keep you reading.

I like the schemes and conspiracies but again without the romance the book is just too depressing. I like that the ML also goes to the past life and gets revenge (second to last extra chapter).

I liked the extra at the end with the original owner of the protagonists body. It could be an awesome story on its own (if the author isn't cramming it full of stereotypes again).

I also like that they are a power couple with talent individually.

But honestly give me back my time so that I never fell into the hole of reading this book. I don't recommend it. Which is sad because it could've been such a good book😭 author why! <<less

I won't rate yet as I'm not finished, but wanted to get some of my thoughts down

Dropped at chapter 105, most of the storylines were complete and I had started losing interest at chapter 65. Skimmed to the end, but nothing interesting.

The nationalism was too much, the focus of the story shifted from revenge to the competition and the romance was lackluster.

Pros

  • There is face slapping in the beginning
  • The main character is kinda likable
  • The ML is even more likable (such a cutie)
  • Family drama isn't too drawn out
  • I like the origins of the space and recipes even if it is flawed, I found it interesting
  • The ending with the real Yan Tong is cute
  • The author does well in keeping the original and 2nd story separate
    Spoiler

MC was the protagonist in the original story, but then Yan Tong crossed over and became the protagonist, making MC the villain. This

is the MC's 3rd life. MC only remembers the 2nd life and Yan Tong only has infor from the 1st so they are both working on similar, but different stories)

    [collapse]
Cons

  • The face slapping is anticlimactic at times
  • The nationalism is getting too annoying (I expect it in Chinese novels, but this one is starting to make it's whole identity)
  • The romance takes a BIG backseat to the revenge plot and competition
  • The MC is kind of bland
  • Didn't like how the Shi friend's storyline was played out
All in all the story has a solid beginning that turned annoying and then just boring. Most likely won't read again.

the author doesnt know what deodorant is lol 2/5

there is a lot of weirdness with foreigners in this novel and also it comes off as gov propoganda with how they shove how good the chinese gov is in your face and how capitalism is the devil. The entire chip thing was really weird too. So many plot holes and its so illogical, but its fine ig bcs MC is a mary sue and everything he says and does is right.

i ended up skipping every scene that included foreigners, tech, or... more>> competition by the end which was abt 2/3rds if the last half lol. It was really unbearable. <<less

I started this without reading any of the reviews or looking at the stars because there are some homophobic trolls that gave danmei low scores on purpose, and well, it was just okay.

After I finished this, I looked at the reviews again and have to agree with them that the uhh... nationalism kinda caught me off guard. HOWEVER, I have to say, prior to chapter 50 (?) - it's the arc with the hackers thing - the nationalism/patriotism wasn't really taken to a whole new level. Like it was just... more>> your normal revenge danmei. It was during this hacker arc that it took off... and boy oh boy, it took off until the end of the novel, no joke.

One reviewer said they've got a weird thing about foreigners, and I unfortunately have to agree with this too lol. Westerners, especially the young ones, do take baths regularly, and when they don't, they do use deodorant and perfume. Not sure what is going on there but okay...

But yeah I do feel like the entire novel is a big propaganda which was kind of weird. The first half wasn't that weird, honestly, it's just the rest of the novel was very weird for me to read. But maybe it's a me problem.

There's a lot of problems and plot holes, yes, and the romance felt... well, it wasn't badly written per-say but I'm not going to remember this CP at all, if you get what I'm saying. Some of the face-slapping scenes were good but some felt anti-climatic
Spoiler

like his half brother getting sent to prison by their father like??? What's up with that.

[collapse]

I'd give this a solid 2.5/5 because I actually did enjoy the first part... like 1/4 of the novel. <<less

It was good up until MC went to the computer science research competition thing. It got a little weird... I really wish I read the reviews before wasting my time with this novel.😵‍💫

Like... The brain washing is intense and also brain dead. It’s so funny how the MC is supposed to be smart but the author is just totally dog poop. Don't worry about plot or romance!!! The author isn’t here to entertain or anything. Just heavily indoctrinate you into trusting china and giving your personal information to them.☠️ Also... more>> making anyone who isn’t Chinese seem like a racist and bigot.

The propaganda and s*upidity in this novel just became too unbearable. I can’t even read a chapter now without having to skim it and then skip it. The MC practically forgets about getting revenge too (like what about the two old people who hustled him as a kid?). <<less

This is a good novel. I just don't get it why some readers doesn't like it when its not too real, like girl come on this is a work of fiction what do you expect? 😵 I really like the MC, he's fearless and decisive. This is a breath of fresh air cuz some MCs are airhead and indecisive.

This novel is five star for me✨

(Don't let the negative reviews stop you from reading this novel or else you'll lose a gem🥰🤟)

The story is fun & I Would definitely recommend it if you are interested in a face slapping / revenge story, with some business & competition, and subplot of romance.

At times, the Story can get unnecessarily descriptive and long winded. But I just scroll through those parts, no biggie.

It is nationalistic, slightly xenophobic, and may be offensive to some sensitive readers. But the xenophobia is not to the extent the comments led me to believe.

Based on the comments, I was prepared to read a story enduring a plethora of racism.... more>> But it wasnt really the case

Example:

1. Body odor had always been a common annoyance & problem in daily life abroad, and most people experienced it. Although everyone had gotten use to it, There were still awkward moments because of it....

--LMFAO... it's so ridiculous that I can't even get offended

2. Villains, including foreign villains are sometimes brainless & caricature like. But Its just stereotyping certain things about villains and foreigners.

--Story isn't supposed to be depressing, So I can let it pass cuz of the overall enjoyable read. <<less

It's a rare 1 star from me and let me explain why.

I'll be honest, I didn't like it, obviously. I didn't like the style how it was written, it turned out dragged, watery, its' pacing is really weird and many things described in the world are really inbalanced tbh. Characters are just horrible and some plots are too braindead and just follow the path of coincidence. There were several places where 'what is said is not what was done' inconsistencies. I got tired of it through it so I just... more>> skimmed through till the end and it wasn't anything that was bad, since the story was too obvious from the beginning how it will end.

When it comes to this novel the world-building is actually absent to a point where you don't know at which time period the humanity is. More is that some 'inventions' that are talked about are too beyond the level of current modern technology and it jumps around here and there from simple to almost interstellar level. Same goes for characters themselves.

Anyway here's the story in short.

Ziyang's demise started from a bullying video, he as a 18 yo was despised by entire nation since the situation was blown out of proportion, like he is a villain incarnate, he missed college entrance examination and later was self-studying in computer technology. His life was miserable because the book wearer, Yan Tong, framed him too many times, ruining his reputation etc. People around Ziyang often betrayed him for green tea Yan Tong, so his situation was getting worse and worse. To me the preset was too overdramatized just for the sake of drama. And also all the high IQ people who are supposed to be smart can't see through Yan Tong's green tea-ness, while he always obviously makes people feel guilty or want to protect him, which was the braindead part. Sometimes I felt that I read about 13 year olds, instead of mature grown-up men, which was simply weird.

Since Ziyang was reborn he set on the path of revenge since his past life was too miserable, most hurtful was to lose a child of his and an unknown man (one of the set ups of YT). So he debunked the bullying video and set the biggest trap where he took most of information from the heirloom necklace (which is a space type of thing) and left some 'presents' for YT, he actually left the necklace so it will get to YT for a reason, so YT (who is not that smart and only knows entertainment industry) will sell those things to his patrons and "affectionate male partners" around him to get money and standing and protection. So this wasn't a bad set up, since Ziyang did something to that info he passed on. Here author did one flaw, described how the necklace was absorbed into Ziyang's body but then described how it got into YT's hands, so.. Anyway.

Second aim of Ziyang except revenge was to find a man with whom he had a one-night stand in previous life and got pregnant, his feeling of security was based only on a left behind ring and a phone number and he thought this person was responsible, but Ziyang left in frenzy only taking the ring (which of course is a limited edition one, otherwise how to find the person), so he had no idea he slept with the ML in previous life and got his child. Well, this was supposed to be a key, though any other responsible person will stay behind to see the person to safety themselves, just saying. Ziyang himself didn't remember the person and in this life left the search to ML. ML instantly has a hunch it was him, though author describes there are 12 rings in total. Also ML and MC's brother acted like kids honestly, no steadiness of age, sometimes acted immature. I understand it was to set up ML as a person who is quite clean about himsef and his feelings, but at one side you describe him as an experienced person in the mall and next he blushes at provocations... what. ML didn't reveal it was his ring at first and basically they came together pretty late in the novel (after 70+ chapters I think). But honestly I could believe in MC's motivation for love, more for having a child, but in execution he thought about the man in previous life and to him that man and ML were two different people, but he actually started to have feelings for ML, so basically emotionally betraying his first conviction. So I treat it as a mess.

But knowing the plot of YT's novel (not his original novel) he could set on this path and set traps for everyone who betrayed him. Here I remembered another novel where MC said "you don't enter the sh*t pit if you see one", which I truly loved, but here MC volunteerly enters and creates those sh*t pits, like why would you do it, you can just crush everyone, be protected by a state as a prominent scientist and smash everyone anyway. Sometimes he is described as a super intelligent with high IQ, but sometimes this feeling is lost. Like he knows people who approached him with ideas, but it isn't about IQ but EQ that allowed him to see through tactics of other people who played against him. Whatever. Through hands of YT he brought disaster to the Fang family, which is also described as braindead and villanous to extreme. As father switched child of his lover with the firstborn of his official wife, later wife gave birth to the second son, Ziyang and soon died. Father brought up Ziyang as a waste son, while the illegitimate was brought as an heir. So first the Fang has went down (unsurprisingly both got into prison for different reasons). But YT as one who instigated but never took part left clean for another person, Ziyang's ex. YT is always described as best at reading males, so basically he used it to his own advantage, but honestly the tactics were immature to me and people who were brought up as heirs shouldn't be at this level of naive believing in YT. But they did. ML comes from the same family as MC's ex. Actually the premise that ML was like a broom star and fiance killer was already used before, weird superstition or a tactic. But it wasn't developed. Revenge for his ex was simpler, he left two of them together, but helped ML to walk out of his family... This was also a loophole to me. First MC stated that he will help ML get out in 3 months, later actually author never followed the timeline clearly. ML actually left his family of troublemakers, but actually he already gained a foothold in the industry even before MC helped him with two big projects and judging by surprises ML left to his family, he planned such things from the beginning, so.. where does the help come from?

One of the villains was MC's uncle who came back just to use his nephew for money, of course MC wouldn't allow that and brought him another type of "fame". Shoved him good looking projects that were bound to fail in the end. YT also who was always wanting to join entertainment with a backing befriended this uncle and used him to get into a draft (though really this part was kinda skipped). But YT not only got together, but really together-together, making his current fiance (MC's ex) wear the greenest hat ever. later YT was sold as a plaything, where he met another person, biggest villain from the last life, this part was also really boring. And like this just after the competition between countries the novel simply ends with the trial of this big villain family for illegally imprisoning and coercing a hell lot of scientists etc. And that's it. Rebirth - school/examination - university - competition/training - falling in love - competition - end. Heh.

Emotional line was also like that. Like ML found out about the ring, since MC asked to search for the owner and found that MC loved that person (actually not, he just wanted a child, like what.., child was his only emotional support and deepest guilt). He didn't want to react at first, but was flustered, sometimes ML is described as a kid in love... But he instantly cared for MC, like there was no reason for that actually, except he and MC's biological brother had a deep friendship through years. It was more understandable for MC, since ML and the man in his last life were the same person. And when they did clear their relationship it instantly moved to the second lane as it was before. I sometimes feel sorry for ML that he was in the background. I didn't feel that romatic about these two. And didn't feel the let's go hand in hand to the pinacle of life and be a strong couple. Main thing about two was that MC had really deep hatred that came with him from last life, understandable, but tbh it felt like he never came out of that hatered even when falling in love with ML. I could understand why he wanted to destroy all the people from last life, but still it could have been done in more chic way. The thing is MC never was described as acieving sublimation by achieving his goal. The ending was too abrupt.

Why am I writing so much about it, I should just stop.

I don't like how the world was empty, the novelty was non-existent, plot was too obvious, also dragged to extreme, had too many cliches, sometimes didn'y pick up settings and things didn't go anywhere. And the ending was abrupt. Relationship lacked too much. Nah.

I copied my review from the blog, posted back in June, 2021.

Going through bookmarked novels to see if any of them appeared on NU to leave a review and add to the chaos. <<less

Hm, reading the other reviews I was quite concerned about the propaganda matter regarding foreigners etc, but decided to still give it a try.

Our MC is Fang Ziyang who was reborn after his death back to the age of 18 after having lost his unborn child. Now he still had his "doting" father, was still the young master of his family and still had his fiance. But knowing the future, this cute dumpling became one filled with black sesame. Cute on the outside, but black on the inside :D

He managed... more>> to use his knowledge of the future to avoid all the pitfalls he had to suffer from in his last life and did so quite beautifully. Not only did he find his true bloodrelated brother, but also fell in love. I don't want to spoiler right now, because since my stockpile has quite a few new chapters, I decided to start reading this novel once more from the beginning. Which is why I will certainly edit this review at a later point with more information.

The reason why I'm writing this review now is simply because above mentioned propaganda matters and I want to point out that from my point of view, there's no such thing. To be honest, maybe I'm too dense, but if I hadn't read the other reviews, I wouldn't even have noticed anything amiss.

It's not that all foreigners are labelled to not know how to take care of their personal hygiene, but the author is pointing out a serious matter. Let me explain a few examples. MC has recipes from his ancestors which came from the interstellar era, some of them work like the spiritual spring water mentioned in any apocalypse-related storylines. They remove all impurities, make people handsome and beautiful and so on and so forth, you know what I mean xD

Especially foreigners are very interested in those, because they suffer from body odors or pimples and other matters which in itself is indeed something people are suffering from. The reason for this can for one point be genetic and for the other they can be influenced by eating and living habits. If you only eat fast food, sweets and other unhealthy food nonstop, you'll notice you won't only gain weight but also suffer from pimples and other impurities in your skin among other matters. If you're lucky, you can remedy it by changing your eating habits. (Yes. Food is just one point, smoking and other unhealthy hobbies can influence your body as well.)

But there are also people who eat and live healthy but still suffer from body odors and other issues which are indeed genetic, so no matter how often they take a shower per day, or cover themselves in deodorants and stuff, they can't cover up odors that are caused by sweating etc. And the author just happened to pick those examples to point out the effectivity of MC's potions. Nothing more and nothing less.

So before you decide to drop the novel or not even starting it, because you think the author is hating against any non-chinese people, don't rush to believe it and give it a try first. <<less

Like other reviewers, I really liked the story at the beginning, but at around chapter 60 the story started shoving Chinese nationalism down our throats. It was like the author was paid to put in so much propoganda and forgot at the beginning so just shoved it in from there on in the story. It goes from "ok, this is a bit much but tolerable" to "Is this a story? Or just propaganda?"

As other people say, when the author started depicting foreigners as imbeciles who don't know what deodorant or... more>> showers are, that's when it lost me.

The story went from a 4 star story all the way to 0.5 star, and the 0.5 is for the translator. Who is doing a great job. <<less

I didn't know that I needed a face slapping story until I read this one.

as the previous reviewer said, the face slapping is really heavy.

Spoiler

MC face slapped people when they're about to do something harmful to him. So, the villains aren't exactly innocent, but the damage would probably way too heavy compared to the actual damage the villain thought they did/would do. Prominent example would be the shi sister. The villains were indeed vicious to MC's previous life

[collapse]

I'm really curious about how the author would close the story, but the patriotism in the middle was a bit too much for me.. I want to continue but I couldn't keep on reading...

I guess I'll continue sometime later

Edit: I skipped right to the last 2 chapters, lol. Everything wrapped up very nicely for MC.

Spoiler

so, our main villain, the white lotus, ended up 'helping' MC, because he think he was cornered and wanted to drag someone else down together with him. He testified false statements for it. And it's kind of weird that an old family the size of a behemoth can get destroyed with only one court.. even if the cases were to be numerous, the family is supposed to be so big you can't possibly count their tails? Well, as long as MC is happy, I guess..

Reading this extra wordy novel truly tested my patience a lot. Too many unnecessary words just fill pages! I don’t need an entire chapter telling the back story of a question before the question is even answered and then another chapter describing why. A paragraph or two will suffice.

Later, I’ll come back to read when I have the patience and time.

I debated about whether to give it my actual rating or a better rating to boost it's currently low one. I decided to just give what I felt it deserved. This story started out good - a bit cliche but very satisfying and some nice revenge plot. I would have easily given a 5 star rating at this point.

However, towards the end, the author seemed to run out of real plot and instead decided to inundate us with an unrealistic international science 'competition' (expo? World fair?) that was basically just... more>> describing the futuristic technology the author wishes exists, but actually sounds dangerous and poorly thought out. For example, who believes beauty in a bottle could be used with no side effect? I remember there being an adaptation of the King Arthur story that had something similar, and when the witch stopped taking the beauty potion, she instead became hideous. Also, doesn't this just exacerbate the wealth gap by extending it into a wealth beauty gap? The perfect eye serum sounded so nice, but I don't believe bad eyesight is caused by toxins. And as someone who thinks facial recognition is already pretty distopian, the idea of an ID chip implanted into a person's brain sounds horrifying. Imagine getting malware, but in your brain... I guess some people can philosophically argue that our brains are already negatively impacted by a host of things (drugs, alcohol, social media, propaganda), but it's the difference between you deciding to brew some odoriferous beer in your basement and someone else deciding to convert your home into a Sriracha factory. Similarly, I don't care how sleep deprived I am, I would never trust an application that can create (trap) me in a dreamworld of its creation. Anyways, since I didn't buy into these "innovations", the latter half of the story, which focused on describing everyone's effusive adoration towards these inventions, was so much nonsense. More than that, the author also obviously has minimal (no?) knowledge of how programming works, so reading the tech development made me cringe. C Language Cultivation does a much better job at integrating programming into a fictional novel.

Finally, I usually am not fazed by nationalism in novels (western novels have it too, it's just disguised better and westerners are too used to it to notice). I even slightly understand the author's point about some countries population needing deodorant more than others (and not using it - if you're in Europe you know many prefer using cologne instead). Many East Asians don't create the same kind of body odor as westerners, so this is probably the author converting that observation into an offensive subplot within the story. However, the more into the competition arc the story went, the more tired I was of the need the author had to make competing nations seem petty and antagonistic. I think a couple decades ago, most of the world did consider China a third world country (oh sorry, 'developing' country), and this has sparked a sense of indignation and us-against-them mentality in China. However, the narrative has changed so much in the last couple of years, but the author was writing as if they were stuck in perception from 1990's. Consuming that narrative repeatedly near the end of the story (it never stops) was so exhausting, and just goes to show that the misrepresentation and misunderstanding goes both ways.

This depth of understanding (or lack thereof) is a problem throughout this story. It's fine if it was shorter or stuck to being purely a revenge story, but it's very noticeable at this length, and after the attempt at world politics analysis. Villains are all s*upid and vicious, driven only by greed and with little true human connection. The protagonists are good even if they're bratty and obnoxious. I found myself scratching my head many times at the mc's "brilliant" comebacks towards the end. Is he supposed to be somehow defeating reporters with sarcastic innocence? Is he pulling a Blake Lively?

I don't think this is a bad story, just that it went on too long. If it ended at chapter 70, the flaws would have all been minor enough to ignore, and the story would have been an engaging if cliche one. Kudos for the translator's dedication in completing this novel - there were some confused names in the beginning, but it was overall very readable. <<less

If we're going to remove the parts where it's kinda patriotic, this is a 5/5 for me.

I liked the actions of the MC and his attitude.

Some people might not like how he does things because ... more>>

the gtb yang tong always gets away. But notice how psychologically torturing was it to be kept alive only to suffer?? I like it so much. Some people doesn't deserve the easy way out of death, some people deserves to see the people they envy get everything that they want and everything they tried to steal. Notice how gtb YT was always like a clown jumping around but MC always had everything under control. That was OP. I liked how he savored his revenge. And also how he savored his new relationships in the new life.

Minus 1 star because the vicious villain white tea bit*h wasn't tortured enough, I can't believe he got off so easily.

Also why did 2 s*umbags gets some sort of redemption none of them deserve any of it.

The romance is just here and there, ML is like a Monk that act like a virg*n and they keep calling him a old man at 28. Also can he read minds, like MC do anything he knows what hes thinking which is just weird.

I really enjoy the face slapping in this novel, the... more>> only thing I like the most. There was lack of it in the end the grandma and green tea bit*h they killed ton of ppl come on

The nationalism seems over the top, other countries was bought in as additional villains because the green tea bit*h was just too weak and getting toyed by MC.

Also these men birth pellets is so advanced but everything else is so old style until MC and his brother bough out the advance tech. <<less

I wasn't expecting an out of this world, innovative plot for this kind of genre, so I will be more lenient with the rating. 4/5 to boost the rate and to appreciate the translator's effort.

The plot is predictable, but entertaining. MC is morally grey, ruthless and unkind with his enemies. The ML is also likeable IMO. Some say he changes personality, but the author explicit say his cold face is a facade... And he is gentle with his friends and close people... So I don't know what nonsense they're talking.... more>> Anyway, the romance seems abrupt and although a more fleshed out emotional conflict would be good, I like that they waste no time and jump to the lovey-dovey behavior. FZY suffered so much, why would it be inconsistent for him to be completely in love with ML?

Spoiler

Even more so after learning that XZ tried to get revenge for him. "Ah but why didn't he at least try to send a message if he was alive" gurl you better be joking. My man was mourning and investigating his best friend's death, was consoling his lover's bf and dealing with the second branch... He gave the make make decisions about the ONS and the baby to FZY; and let's not forget he had a bad impression of FZY, and he didn't know FZY was TX's younger brother. You just need to read to see he was a good match for MC.

[collapse]

He's a cutie patotie, I won't accept y'all slandering his cute, pathetic a.s.s 😭

About the world building.... The author has a tendency to portrait CN as an underdog 🤣 it's actually funny. I don't even mind the nationalism, with all the unity and one mind propaganda. Also, the technology upgrade has some plot holes. And the pregnancy pill existence but no cure for acne (caused by hormonal problems)... UHM, ok, it's better if we ignore it. And the chip/optical brain technology but they still have to call by phone and use PCs... Let's say they're in the middle of a technology transition. So the old technology won't be obliterated in one fell swoop.

The end for me, however, was unsatisfactory. It ended just like that? Where's the extras? What about the child? What about Rick and Tang romance story?

It's like I feel like sneezing but the sneeze never comes (?) does it makes sense? I don't know how to put this feeling into words 🫠 something is missing. I need closure.

Sigh.

If you like a easy to read, revenge, counterattack, mild twisted MC, OP MC, dumb antagonists, etc. You'll like it. You just need to relax, don't stress over details.

The translation is good but sometimes it feels like the translator omit or cut some paragraphs, not to mention that sometimes the paragraphs are repeated and it confuses the reader a little. But since it's a voluntary work and a free read, I don't really have the right to complain 😅 I appreciate the translator's effort to continue despite all the criticism and rude reviews... Thank you, really 🫶🏽 <<less

I came here knowing it was gonna be illogical, full of face-slapping, and just something super not serious. It delivered, and I was ready to give it like a 4/5 to boost the ratings a bit because I technically found it entertaining. Mostly. But then it basically drops the ball on the romance part of it and whatever little satisfaction I got from the easy win over the antagonists got halved immediately when I saw there really was no other ML besides the one we got lol

But still, the first... more>> half can maaaaaaybe be fun depending on your mood. Not for anyone looking for something serious. Lots of brain-dead decisions going on lol but that's half the fun of it. <<less

The story is great. But the romance is non-existant. If you want just a good novel. This one works absolutely fine. But if you are reading for the Bl elements.... then this is not your cup of tea.

Aahhaa! A very satisfying revenge & face slapping novel. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Translation was bit jeopardy; it mixed names of characters very terriblely and some information was misplaced. As it's not translated fully yet so I read google translated one. W (°o°) w

MC's way of revenge was interesting. He was smart and capable. ML was bit different at 1st but became complete match of MC at latter part. There wasn't much romance before chp 100 I guess, just ambiguity here and there.⁽⁽ଘ ( ˊᵕˋ ) ଓ⁾⁾

Villains were really s*upid, I... more>> don't know from where they bought their arrogance about being intelligent. And latter part about (fantasy) technology development was bit unnecessary. I just skimmed through.

If you like face slapping this one's for you. ('◉⌓◉') <<less

Read the last chapter but I'm really currently at chapter 38.

I cannot rate this one unless I finish it yet.

There are a lot of face slapping. It also has great plot. The only bad in this story is the over patriotism of the author and how the author look how bad the author look at the other country. The author has this wrong thinking that foreigners are stinky.

... more>> Will edit this once I finish this. It would really better if the translation is completed already because MTL is horrible.

I guess I might read this again once the translator finished translating it. <<less
