Inconsistent, shallow, and illogical.

I've tried to like it, but I'm fed up after 50+ chapters of nonsense drama and more and more inconsistencies.

It's incredibly cheap, uninspired, and frustrating to read.

Then there are other, smaller things that add to it, like the writer forgetting that beastmen can't talk in their animal form, some instances of clothes materialising out of thin air, etc.

It's overall just VERY slopy writing.

Characterisation is flat as well, shallow, and most characters are utterly braindead.
Again, it's cheap melodrama and cliché "poor MC is hated by his evil family", just that it's very overdone even for this trope.

MC/ML and friends are super OP, they could easily survive on their own yet decide to take risks and mix with others.

I hoped especially the "villains" would get some depth but it's the opposite, they get progressively more one-dimensional.
A good antagonist isn't one the writer stuffed with every negative trait they could think of and make them behave in the most despicable ways possible to force the reader to hate them.
But that's the case with every antagonist in this novel, they are pure evil just to be evil and the main villain's motivation is too shallow and illogical to be of value.
He could archive what he wants completely without entangling MC, yet it has to be MC for... no logical reason.

None of the characters seem to use their brain, it's so obvious that everything happens just because the writer wanted it to happen and not because it makes actual sense.

I don't see any way to finish over 200 chapters of what's basically the writer's pre-planned beats loosely tied together by fillers.

But if you like OP beastmen fighting baddies and don't care about anything else, then it isn't worse than similar novels.

I finished the novel by reading the MTL which hurt my brain a bit but all doable if you take the time to. I am a fan of animal shapeshifter novels so I wanted to give this a chance.

The ending was lackluster. The ending of the villains all seemed anti-climatic. The beginning of the novel was good but it got bad once the MC let the ML do whatever. I get that is his personality. Being cold and indifferent but take some charge in your own revenge at least!!

And I kept reading at this point cause I needed some action between MC and ML to make me feel SOMETHING but GUESS WHAT? TOOK NEARLY 200 CHAPTERS FOR THE D. And it wasn't even good D. Just 1 sentence and DONE. Siiiiiiiigh....

But I'm all for any cute interactions I can get from MC and ML so that increased my rating from 2 to 3 just for that, haha. <<less

I think this story is average. Have a good world building but bad at writing the characters and plot.

I dislike the author a litte bit because this story actually can be shorter not this long. But the author always trying to delay us to get to the main plot by adding so many annoying characters.

The ending for main villain also not very satisfactory for me. Even until the end, some of the main villain don't know that MC is taking revenge on them because MC never said and showed so.

Note... more>> : You need some patience and endurance to read this story... lol, because I actually already read this novel a long time ago but dropped it in the middle and continued 3 or 2 days ago because the story is so long (and the author likes to make us stay away from the main plot by always making new trouble for MC and team to solved)

MC ex-boyfriend actually someone from another world who read a novel and got inside it. The story in the novel is about him and MC are actually the main character. So he think after he dies in the novel world (MC world right now), he will not die because he can come back to his original world.

MC parents that are introduced in the beginning of the story is fake, not real parents. His real parents are killed by the fake parents. But later his real mom will survive and will meet him. His fake father and his real father are twins that have very similar face. MC grandfather think twins will bring a disaster so he hide MC real father and only introduced MC fake father as his child. Every time MC real father wanna go out, he have to use MC fake father identity. Unfortunately, MC real father are talented in business and married MC real mother so their evil family locked MC real parents together. MC real father died, while MC real mother survived but got amnesia. MC real mother remarried someone and got a daughter (MC half sister). She's evil and a b*tch. Well there are so many things happening in the novel so it's better if you read it yourself because I'm tired typing all of these... hahahaha

Boring. At ch 60 I had to ask myself why am I reading this? Do I even want to skip to the end and read the last 5 chapters? No.

They just don't do much. Or it's written so boring that it isn't exciting. The battle/fighting scenes are non-existent. Tail made bad guy go splat. MC bites neck, bad guy runs, ML finally catches up, bad guy is dead.

The author clearly doesn't care to write action scenes but does it anyways.

And the scum gong who killed MC is just casually chatting... more>> up MC for so long. Why even bother omg? The reason for staying in the same city is dumb, MC has a house here and he likes 'Dragon City' (idk if that the right translation). It's an apocalypse and you're surround by your shi**y family/ex; leaving is a thing you can do.

Also completely lacking in romance. The ML tries to hold MC's hand a few times and wooowwww he let him. Romantic. <<less
