The most gentle and sensible little lover around Yan Chen ran away.

A person who he even kept track of medical expenses for and owed him money, but when leaving, also took along two unlimited credit cards.

Watching the big spending records with cold eyes, Yan Chen’s interest grew stronger.

Finally, one late night, he cornered the person in a luxury hotel’s presidential suite.

Seeing the third person in the suite, Yan Chen gritted his teeth, “Didn’t you keep saying you love me? How long has it been, and you’re already fooling around with someone else.”

An Yi smiled, returning Yan Chen’s own words to him word for word.

“I love you, but I never said I only love you.”

An Yi stood on the rooftop.

Before falling, he wanted to pull out all the knives Yan Chen had stuck in his heart.

He also wanted to indulge in the pleasures of the flesh and understand why Yan Chen didn’t want his love but preferred the worldly pleasures.

*Yan Chen (top) X An Yi (bottom), two years apart in age, Happy Ending.

*Bottom (An Yi) is reserved and paranoid in the early stage, but confronts the top (Yan Chen) later.

*The top starts off arrogant and promiscuous, then cries and begs later on.

*First, the bottom is tortured, then the top, and after breaking up, the bottom has relations with someone else.

*Dramatic and over-the-top, feel free to criticize the characters but not the author.

*Not sure if it counts as a wife chasing crematorium.

Enjoyed it!

Quite generic with tropes and cliches but the author had done it in a very nice way, was not bored throughout, and enjoyed it immensely.

It was melodramatic as promised and I was all for it.

P.S. I just loved loved the characters. The ML deserved a good beating, but he made up for it and the MC is just the best.

Not bad, not bad at all.

Okay, so, I did not like the story for the following reasons:

  • underbaked characters;
  • did not properly show the change in character (the why to be exact for the change) for 3 out of the characters (it was too sudden for me, without much explanation) ;
  • they decided to focuse on the melodrama and did not pay enough attention to the bonds between characters and write appropiate reactions for them (felt like the most important parts were rushed).
I will use a spoiler to specify what I mean with the above. Though my issues... more>> were numerous and it had nothing to do with the dogblood or messiness.

Hats off to the translator though, they managed to keep me reading this D- story.

Even if you are bored and want to read something quick and angsty, there are better stories out there for that.

Spoiler

The characters have potential in the beginning and it's clear the author can write emotional scenes and is able to make some of the characters feel like, you know, not wooden spoons. But that quickly gets thrown out of the window.

All the characters end up acting OOC. A bunch of sh*t happens for no tangible reason. Characters are just therd, feel like nothing, just to push the plot forward.

Everything the author does feels like a mokery of their previous ability to write a close and realistic bond between thr brothers, showing the exhaustion and pain of having your only relative on borrowed time in the hospital. It tugs at your heartstrings because it's realistic and sad. Everything about that has a why, a reason, some push behind their every action. It's palpable, to me, that the author has the capacity to deliver something decent.

But I guess it's too much to keep that going, because after a certain death, everything is superficial and in bad taste imho. I will not bother go into details or why the story and flow and characters suck so much and how everything is way below lackluster, but I do want to mention that I found it incredibly dumb how ML is so close to the little sister, it's clear to some capacity he cares about her, enough to show up and see her several times, but when she dies he is 0% impacted and it's like the person that died had nothing to do with him.

The characters falling in and out of love is poorly written. And the dogblood, faceslapping and chasing is extremely unsatisfacatory.

[collapse]

I will edit this for any mistakes later, since I am on break from work as of now. <<less
