I honestly don’t understand what kind of faith he has in the Chinese legal system, which is full of corruption — police bribed by the rich, justice twisted by power.

Yet every villain in this story is forgiven by the MC at least once. Because of that, villains often come back to take revenge, creating a dull, repetitive cycle that feels like an endless loop.

The MC lacks ruthlessness. One villain tried to shoot him to death, but the MC spared this man three times. Another time, his lover was drugged by a villain with the intent to sexually assault her — the MC merely injured the man lightly and let him go. Even an assassin who tried to kill the MC and r*pe his lover was spared and simply handed over to the police.

I wanted to give this story one more star because chapters 36, 50, and others contained R18 scenes. However, I later discovered that those scenes were actually added by the English translator — the original Chinese version doesn’t include any of them at all. <<less
