The lone bamboo rooted in the Tai Mountain.

I was a 500-year-old green bamboo sprite. Deep in the mountain, I cultivated to be a human and saw a lively world lying underneath the mountain.

It was some place with bright blossoms and green willows, jewelries and treasures, as well as endless wines and gourmet food, and good-looking men and women were everywhere.

I left the mountain and transformed myself into a wealthy lady, a dethroned young man, an old geezer who told fortunes, a wandering beggar, or a story teller in the tavern who dressed in green.

people arent joking when they say it can be a confusing read, especially with the pov changes and the different timelines and then the setting changes arent explained or made obvious. Definitly requires a bit more literary skill to know the tones of lines to know whats happening. Definitely worth trying.

also, translation is probably held up because of the lack of free raws since I couldnt find free raws at this time.

I am not rating this novel yet because I still cant explain what this novel is about. The only thing I can say is that there are several story lines woven together and the reader must place together the pieces to form the whole puzzle. The story is also non linear, jumping to different place and different year with little or no explanation following different characters. I am sticking to it because I hope it will all be clear by the end, but I want to warn future readers to... more>> expect an unusual storytelling. <<less
