First off, I find the summary a bit misleading so I felt like writing this review although I've only read up to chapter 15.

The MC actually transmigrated from a cultivation world to a modern world with cultivation elements. His original self was a fat ball who ate himself to death, but the body he transmigrates into is actually slim and handsome.

The only problem is that the original owner of that body was scum and known for his tyrannical playboy behavior while the MC is the complete opposite (the only similarity... more>> is that both are young masters). So he has to deal with his terrible reputation but he's doing quite well so far. Also, MC seems like he cares the most about cultivating, so in my eyes he just looks undisturbed by anything else (except food), but it could also be a lack of character depths (not sure since I'm just at the beginning)

Lu Feng, the ML, falls in love at first sight after meeting the MC shortly after MC transmigrated. For now he's quite cute, how he's honest about his feelings and I like that he doesn't believe in the rumors since the MC he got to know is so different. I'm looking forward to see how he will pursue MC.

If I don't forget it, I will come back in the future to edit this review, but for now I'm hooked and it's definitely worth reading^^ <<less

I've read this book with MTl and it's quite interesting.

I like how ML really courts MC, but the confession takes awhile. This is a cultivation novel along with revenge and romance (but you have to be patient for the romance part).

The story is ok. I thought it will be a romance novel. Well my bad, didn't see the tags properly though. Blame it on the misleading title. It is mostly abt cultivation, revenge, face slpping etc. The romance is not well developed in my opinion. The author only touching it on the surface. There is no love confession between MC an ML (if I'm not mistaken). There is no character depth. In short, if you like cultivation novel u may like this but don't expect fluffy moments ?

I really liked the novel, but there were many bad points.

Starting for the cover, that is a very misleading one. The novel has nothing that makes think of this cover. Everytime I saw the cover before keep reading, I got myself in doubt if that was the right novel.

This novel is basically a cultivation novel without a harem (with the whole courting death, young master, fiancee, etc) but with the main couple being gay, what creates this possibility of treating homossexuality more naturally, what cultivation novels never do.

For one side,... more>> the novel has very good points, like the amount of straight and gay couple being very balanced (until the last parts) and how some character really turned a new leaf during the story (What's is super rare in this type of cultivation novel.)

In the other side, the novel gets pretty confusing in the second half, with a lot of pratically filler chapters. It also doesn't take the chance to talk about a lot of thing. For example, I'm not a big fan of smut, but the first time for the MC was such a downer...

The ML got poisoned by a aphrodysiac, he got it under control, but pretend to need help and sleeps with the MC.

There's not description or much as a comment about it, as if it was nothing.

And they also don't comment anything about the fact that the MC were impotent and super small.

They don't make it clear if it was changed when he cured himself or if they had s*x anyway and how it make a difference.

It could have been a very cute and heartwarming moment.

But what really pissed me off was that

the fisrt half made me happy that I finally found a novel where the uke is not the weak one, but then the second half comes and I feels like the uke became just a spoiled child that has everything he wants given by the seme. Me as a reader felt like the MC had become a clown during the second half and almost couldn't finish it

I expected much more honestly. But that hope was dashed a few chapters in.

I might like cultivation novels but this one just seemed out of sorts for me. Not to mention, there are a lot of confusion. I don't even really understand how come the ML easily fell for MC. Not to mention how MC's cultivation really works. It's like everything's too easy for him.

Other characters have filters towards MC. Either they're against him or they're incredibly blinded by his cuteness. There's really no in between so it just seems... more>> bland to me. <<less
