A great novel, good grammar with low syntax errors. A bit repetitive but worth if you're interested in seeing the involvement of the MC with the world.

Synopsis:

MC transmigrates to different bodies after death, at the start of the novel it's implied that he has died quite some times before (wold hopping not confirmed) to the point he got bored about life altogether.

Spoiler

I want to mention why I consider this a 5 stars, or at least the chapters I have read. And don't worry I will only quote things from the prologue if necessary.

The MC transmigrates to a bad situation, mid su*cide starting as an orphan with a landowner who only cares if he will pay next month and bullies from school going to harass him at his house.

I don't remember if it was said but MC wakes up in the body of a high schooler, I calculate he was between 16-17 years old.

What I like is his psychology. He is an absurd man, referring to Albert Camus description:

"The absurd man lives for his passions. He exists here and now, hoping for no more than what he’s been given. Though he abandons meaning, he is determined to live in the present and takes this perspective forward with him over the course of his life."

MC has accepted absurdism after an unknown number deaths and rebirths (it's implied that he may experience other forms of coming back to life apart from transmigration) . He is unbothered and familiar with this loop:

——————————————————

The man now inhabiting the body of Lee Kyung-wan reviewed the common sense of the world in his head and picked up the cell phone lying in the corner of the room., the thoughts emerging in his mind.

Beep-beep-beep-beep~

[Yes, this is 112 emergency services. Please state your issue.]

“There’s a person here who appears to be my father, and he’s dead... "

——————————————————

He is a wanderer, he has rejected his hopes and desires. He doesn't care about death but refuses to comit su*cide as it's meaningless to him, he enjoys life, rejecting expectations, pleasures, fear and suffering. He acts just to live, the earth as his floor and the sky as his roof.

That's a pretty romantical description because in practice that means he is homeless. He is comfortable with being a leech of society, he doesn't reach out for opportunities but also reject easy scapes like crime for he only cares to fill his stomach today.

When he is not homeless, he is in jail, enjoying the free food and bed.

You can say he is not a bad person, when he encounters good people in trouble he saves them, but as he doesn't care about going to jail he uses methods that crose the line of self defense in legal terms (like cracking some nuts or breaking extremities).

He doesn't do much apart from living, meditating and saving some people, he doesn't bothers with building relationships as he knows these often requires him to involve himself.

The novel is interesting because of the reactions of other people to his absurdness, but may be a bit boring because of the loop of homeless->Jail->homeless.

There are also other miseries like what his past lives have been like and what is the strange energy that appears when he meditates but basically nothing has been revealed about that.
