This is absolutely beautiful, I'm a sucker for bl novels and from the title I thought it would be the same cute and fluffy trope but I was proven wrong. This novel deals with issues like :

Depression

PTSD And how it affects one's daily life

... more>> Loss of family

Dissociation of sorts etc

And none of the issues are treated lightly, everything has a nice pace. It's doesn't go like the MC fell in another world and suddenly everything is ok. No. MC recovery takes time and effort from both him and the people who care about him. I loved the ending of him choosing self love first and also not biasing with EG because of his members experience. He forms his own perspective for people without judgement of past.

Though I wish a background of his old friend who he was drinking with in first chapter was given and the love rectangle (?) Felt unnecessary for me but the story is beautiful and blurred that out. Definitely worth a try! <<less

I have really High hopes for this one (MC 25 turned back 20 and ML 20)

I freaking love anxiety ridden and depressed MCs omg I also like that when he first transmigrated to another world he didn't immediately adapt like others MCs that just forget their past lives, he was scared of this new change suddenly forced to debut when he clearly hasn't been mentally stable for like 6+ yrs, he forgets moments where his stress heightens to cope and practically having short term memory loss, combined with his... more>> high fear of cars because that was when his parents died and where he got an injury that sets him back, he also has a nearly obsessive crush on a straight dude and he can't be blamed that dude was a very important figure in his life and when he was at a low point, he relies heavily on both his crush and his friend (who I love very much, caring to the MC and wanting to help him improve in life),

Summary minor spoilers

When the MCs crush got married he fell into a new low crying for hours at a bar with his friend and after the friend keeps trying to cheer him up but MC still won't stop being depressed the friend starts playing a gacha game and one of the characters looks like MCs crush so when MC saw it he started playing but keeps getting the same dude every time for 20 pulls, the MC starts hating him and that dude is the ML in the other world loo, I haven't seen much of the mls personality but it's like the leader, mature type dude who has a cold stare MC states, he isnt an as*hole that's the good part just not very trusting the MC because he keeps acting cowardly and ML also doesn't know him that much so it's obvious that he won't trust him because MC was suddenly shoved into ML group that have practically grown up together. That's it I have high expectations <<less

This novel has open my mind.

[Sol's trauma reactions]

The MC who, despite having a talent that could evoke envy to others and having experienced a traumatic incident that changed/turned his life upside down, his confidence in his own skills and talent is lacking compared to his past self (before the incident happen), I like how the author depict the anxiety of MC from meeting new people (I don't know if it's the result from the incident or just his personality). His reactions to things that triggered his trauma may be... more>> ann0ying to some, nevertheless even if they are dissatisfy by that they can't deny the fact that every person has a different way of coping with problems and his reactions are due to his trauma. I would love to see his future performances with his members without the debuffs to his skills show them your true skills sol!!

[System]

The system is the realest system i've ever known, though suspicious it didn't give MC unimaginable and impossible missions. I dunno it's just there to notify us about the states of MC and his skills plus the usual rewards when completing the given missions.

I admit that I was quite angry at them for literally ignoring and disrespecting MC but knowing their reasons I can't help but sympathize.

Dk (the maknae) - I was confused at first but knowing that he is just a minor and experiencing repeated drops from the other people before MC frustrated him sm, I would too if my debut kept pushing for years because of pessimistic people

The realization of him liking sol and his friend (ga ram) liking sol too is hottt he didn't even deny his feelings and quickly accepted it which is new to me lol but I love it!

They thought the MC would give up too like the others before him and wait again for another one, even though the four of them are already good and ready to debut they are confused why the YC entertainment stubbornly add new trainees to join their debut so they were annoyed and lashed out to MC to quickly drive him out. Don't worry guys they realized their mistakes and properly apologized to MC for acting that way to him.

Lastly, the development of feelings to MC is NOISEEEE that scene got me gripping and kicking my blanket. I wasn't really interested about the shounen ai tag at first cuz I just wanna read smt to cure my boredom but that scene just added some spice to my tasteless style...... now I gotta marinate this gem cuz I read this way too fast.

The MC made me kind of frustrated at first, but it showed how much trauma he had to consider what he did normal. The physiological state of someone who has been through a traumatic experience was depicted really well. It was to the degree that I wanted to send him to a doctor just reading through it. The story pacing is slow but I like it this way since it suits the character well.

I haven't experienced any awkward moments till now as well. All the teammates seem to be fleshed... more>> out well enough and have enough contact with the MC that it doesn't feel awkward reading their interactions. Till now there has been no signs of any romantic relationship forming and I am happy with that since some stories start to make something out of nothing right from the beginning. I hope they complete the translation soon enough. <<less

This is so beautifully-written. I love how complex the characters is, and the way that the MC didn't immediately adept smoothly at the beginning, I absolutely love how this novel expressed the real-life reaction of someone thrown in an unknown world or time. I literally cried reading the scene where he finally acknowledged his trauma and feelings without running away like how he usually do. It expressed how he was so frightened to this sudden change, suddenly forced to debut, constantly tormented by the system's cursed (yes, I consider it... more>> as a curse. My baby TT), forgetting certain events and memories due to stress, and high fear of loud crowds, and he always flinches from light skjn-contact. I also want to talk about the depiction of anxiety attacks and toxic coping mechanisms is raw and powerful, highlighting the severity of these issues on the human mind. The novel doesn't rush the protagonist's recovery; it shows that healing takes time and effort from both himself and those who care for him.

I have high expectations for this novel and looking forward on returning after completing it. <<less

I really did enjoy reading this and binged it all in a few days. I liked how a lot of thought and care has been put into the characters and their characterisation is consistent the entire time. You can see the warning signs far in advance for certain issues that occur which makes it really fun to reflect on those random odd behaviours that suddenly make sense many chapters later.

imo, rather than an idol story, this is a story about healing and growth with characters that just so happen to... more>> be idol trainees. As such, a huge chunk of the story takes place during the training phase, however it's nice that for once they are just going through the normal trainee experience and not immediately going onto another produce clone lol. That being said, going into this, I was expecting an idol story so I was really surprised by how long the training phase was (however this is true in real life too so it's not like it made me mad). Tbh this story is a little more slow-paced for my liking, but that doesn't mean it was boring! It was mainly because the author really took their time to show the mc's internal dialogue and allow us to really understand why he may do these seemingly incomprehensible things but me being me, I really enjoy reading about people shining on stage but the process to get there is long and gruelling ;;

Another thing is, I agree with kooslove's review in that, I kind of wished they didn't include this love rectangle situation thing. While I really liked that the romance doesn't start until wayyyy down the line when the MC has already grown significantly as a person and has become a much more stabler person, I always wished that these types of stories just focused on the friendships they build and maybe only have one LI because I'm just not fond of having multiple. Main reason I don't like having multiple LIs is that I feel like it muddles up the story and makes it less about healing and more about drama among the LIs vying for attention. translation-wise, this is pretty good! Didn't hurt my head at all and only every now and again do you see a mistake (mainly the misgendering of characters). <<less

It's been so long since I started reading novels but this is the first one which prompted me to write a review. Everything about it is excellent.

The MC being unable to cope at first after transmigrating, the way the members and the MC treat each other, and how the MC worked hard despite his fear was beautiful though it made me tear up a bit.

I don't know if it has any romance, but even if it has, it's still worth it. I am also looking forward to when they debuted... more>> and them being happy and free from all the suffering they experienced.

I don't know how to express my feelings well while reading it into words, but I promise, this is absolutely an excellent novel.

I'm enjoy this so far.

MC is thrown into this idol game with a system while still a traumatized and depressed mess. He wants to give up and just return to his world, to his two only friends who will comfort him but once he fails a quest he will die. And he found out the hard way.

Sol is forgetful and a bit of a crybaby. And now he's forced to face new uncomfortable situations because of the system. He thinks its harsh & unfair and he's not familiar with game... more>> terminology so he doesn't understand everything that the system is throwing at him but the system is exactly what he needed to get out of this dark hole that his life has become. I love the development and the growth that the MC is going thro, kudos to the writer (& translator) for that.

The side characters are plenty fleshed out and don't immediately warm up to the MC either and this ups the enjoyment for me some more.

Overall its a great read so far and I can't wait for me.
