There is A FORCED S*X CHAPTER (81). I'm not kidding, ML force fvcks MC out of nowhere while this novel isn't even that type of a smut novel. Honestly, it enters the r*pe territory since it was not all sweetly written and was quite unsatisfying. It grossed me out, why would the author choose to write their first night like that, that's my question. And there is the bestiality part as the tags mentioned, to be honest, as a common visitor of hentai manga sites, that's not the first time I've seen it but... Isn't that TOO heavy and twisted for this supposedly cute and sweet story?

Plot holes are prevalent. Some of what the characters say is contradictory. For example, Belinda saying how humble Aymon is. But... he isn't though? I would describe him as arrogant but underneath that he's a good person. You could chalk it up to her just thinking he's humble when he isn't, but then later she thinks to herself that he is arrogant when his attitude has been the same since the beginning. And then Belinda says she doesn't want to get into any trouble, yet earlier she made fun of the nobles when she didn't really need to. Also, a few things fall apart when you actually think about it for a second. Like, the reason the emperor takes in Belinda is so that other people don't find out about how she is his bastard child. But after a while, it's almost like the author forgot that they wrote that. The emperor is okay with her being invited to parties where she is introduced by her full name a.k.a. the King's last name as well. Like, what? And then the story the emperor told everyone is that she's some dwarf princess that returned or something, I don't quite remember. I don't know, a lot of things don't make sense. Also, Lart. Um, his character literally spontaneously changes. At first, he despises Belinda because she's a commoner. But then after Aymon beats him up, he's all over her, apparently completely forgetting his hate for commoners? I guess he's young so he might be very malleable but come on. And then there's the emperor. I don't know what else to call him but incompetent. Like I said before, his reason for taking her in is to hide her away so no one finds out about her being his bastard (but that's completely forgotten later anyway). But why does he make up this story to tell people that she's some princess from somewhere else? Why couldn't he just keep her locked away? And why tell a lie that is exposed literally every time she is introduced. There are so many better ways of going about it.

But even after all of this, I was still wanted to keep reading to see where it goes. But as I read on I realized something. Nothing has really happened. Belinda came to the palace and then what? Her sister despises her and she has a suitor but that's gone nowhere in 20-ish chapters. I'm sure they will lead into something later down the line but for me it's become painful trying to get to that point. And there isn't anything to keep me satisfied along the way. I thought I was reading a romance, but there is no romantic tension whatsoever. For 99% of the 32 chapters I read, Aymon stayed in his cat form. So up to this point, the romance has been non-existent. Don't get me wrong, their dynamic can be charming at times, but I thought this was a romance... in short, I can't stand reading this anymore so I'm dropping it. One last note, there has been zero character development up to this point. Oh, except for chapter 32, where Belinda meets the innkeeper who used to take care of her. He used to physically ab*se her and was able to get away with because he was in a higher position than her and because of his age. This left Belinda with trauma that causes her to be afraid of pretty much every big or muscly man (or animal for that matter) she meets because they remind her of him. Quite interesting actually. So, where does this lead? How does she overcome this trauma and grow into a better person? By abusing her new position of power, just like he used to do, and forcefully staying at the inn. Welp, that's that. Oh, and did I forget to mention that there is a 9 year time skip where literally nothing changes but their ages? I wanted to like this, I really did. But when everything just grates on me and the story goes absolutely nowhere in 30 chapters, I just can't.
