The world is under invasion by creatures from another world. Martial arts became the most important skill in this world, and all cultivators strived to improve their skills.

Chen Yiming transmigrated to this world with a special ability – the Martial Arts Talent System. The system allowed him to use Skill Points to enhance his talents infinitely.

What if he was born with a physique that was not suitable for cultivating martial arts? He could slowly train in the mountains while waiting for his Skill Points to accumulate. When they reached a certain amount, he could use them to enhance his talent and automatically acquire the physique needed for cultivation.

What if he did not have the complete volume of the martial arts technique he practiced? It wasn’t a problem. With sufficient enhancement to his talents using Skill Points, he could automatically deduce the missing parts in the book.

With the Martial Arts Talent System, he could defeat everyone who got in his way. He could easily climb the ranks in the martial arts world – becoming the top disciple, the top cultivator, then the grandmaster.

Really quite bad story. Mechanically and creatively speaking its tr*sh. There are some redeeming qualities but those pale in comparison to the faults.

Plot: Decent enough to carry, but only the barebones idea. Any further exploration and reasoning for things is just completely thrown out the window. There are never any explanations or reasons for anything, stuff just happens because.. Because nothing. Technology stops working? Sure. People suddenly know martial arts? Alright. Big beasts attacking for no rhyme or reason? Fine. The worst are the authors attempted explanations for some... more>> the plot points, stuff that is just ridiculous and inhuman. I won't go into the details because that would spoiling something, and apparently some people still value this book, but there are instances where the author just takes these GIANT mental leaps like "this has to happen like this or I would die" when the situation in the story has nowhere near escalated to a point like this. It's just so incredibly sloppy and annoying writing, forcing some meaning and bending the rules of existence to further some plot narrative instead of actually doing the work and writing something good.

Some other sh*t things include authors fetish for reverse NTR and this coomer style mentality for writing women. MC has to literally steal every woman that's in relationship with someone and be the one who shames the cuck. Then every time any female is mentioned it's ALWAYS long paragraph explanations about how her tender long jadelike legs covered in the morning dew sparkled in the rising sun.. It's just so f*cking pathetic. And speaks volumes about the author as a person too.

Worldbuilding: Utterly tr*sh. NO explanation for anything, nothing is ever gained in terms of milieu for immediate situations or larger scale understanding of the world, or even its mechanics and how it ended such. We're just expected the take it as its given, and its given in breadcrumbs. It took many chapters for me to even realise its some kind of a "apocalyptic" style world with gates to the other world, because it simply was never told. The author gives no base for any imagination.

Characters: About as one dimensional you can get. Even the main character. We still know next to nothing about him or about his values. Supposedly he transmigrated into this world, but it's completely brushed off. What happened to the original guy? What about his past life? What kind of person is he? NOTHING IS EXPLAINED. He just comes to the world, gets an OP system which he never fully utilizes and starts drooling over married MILFS before attempting to cuck their husbands. That's the whole character.

Other minor characters are basically pointless. Even now, 5 minutes after reading this, I couldn't name one. They're completely irrelevant. MC changes masters as he likes, his women are hidden somewhere like vases and he just occasionally visits them for s*x. But nobody else really does anything. There was some slight hope about his first stolen milf wife -esque character becoming somewhat relevant but that plot branching was completely forgone. She's nothing in the story, and rightfully so honestly. I mean she did give herself, her clan and even abandoned a child for the MC the very first time they met (as he kidnapped her).

Basically my rating of 2 out of 5 is INCREDIBLY fair and generous. <<less

Not a terrible read. Story and writing itself were pretty solid, with an overpowered MC with a very strong cheat system. His personality isn't bad, knowing when to hide while staying very bold and straightforward with his actions. Romance is nonexistent, he basically just has random physical relationships with girls as long as they throw themselves at him, which sometimes is a little strange. Many characters are forgotten besides his family which are occasionally forcefully brought back into the story. His treatment of his sister is kinda frustrating just bc... more>> he coddles her a lot so she's very weak and naive. Ending is suboptimal as usual with a random 100 year time skip to jump straight to a bland finale in the last 2 chapters. Big enemy from the beginning ends up being revealed as an even bigger enemy in the last chapter with no conclusion in sight. <<less

This is quite an interesting story, the MC transmigrated to a parallel world that was similar to earth but had a magical element.

Spoiler

MC has a cheat system that helps him level up. He increases his level, kills enemies, seeks energy, increases his level, and so on. Midway through the story, the MC and all the humans (and other creatures) who survived the black wave ventured into the universe, encountered other species, and founded civilizations.

Spoiler

As for romance, it was pretty tumultuous, he barely had a regular partner, made love to many women he met, and had one child with an earth woman. For the side characters, hardly anyone survives in 100 chapters, the people besides the MC are always changing. The MC's character, it's quite inconsistent, sometimes very bold, sometimes cautious.

Spoiler

And for the development of the world, it's pretty good, but it's a shame that the ending is so rushed, the MC suddenly becomes a very strong being and human civilization thrives, but the other characters disappear, the woman in the ring isn't mentioned anymore, and many more. Not even the battle for the true dragon's corpse was mentioned
