Tang Ning entered a survival game where each person can draw different skill cards in each round. Others drew a series of powerful cards, but the card settings that Tang Ning drew were:

Teammates received lunch boxes one after another. Tang Ning fell into a pool of blood and fell into a dream of death. A handsome man gracefully appeared from the darkness, picked up his sleeping lover, and opened the dungeon for him——

There is a prince who always exists in the copy and is the only life-saving driftwood Tang Ning can hold on to.

Tang Ning, who had drawn a card with the inability to speak setting, once tremblingly wrote “Don’t go” on the opponent’s palm. His prince kissed the back of his hand and smiled affectionately and tenderly at him.

A long time later, Tang Ning and the prince got together.

Hi!

So I noticed some people complaining in reviews about MC being 'weak'. I would like to state out that the Title makes it pretty obvious about MC status, and I find it unfair to complain about such a thing and give a bad note because of that!

The novel is pretty nice, and MC acts like any normal human would in that case... SURVIVE with any means possible.

MC is shy and a scaredy cat, yes but... you can see with every chapter that goes on that he GROWS and has... more>> character growth, which doesn't happen often..

Personaly I prefer this type of character than a character that doesn't grow, is OP and gets everything in a second done (Gary Stue I am watching you e-e)

I won't say that this novel is the best, because there are many better, but it is still a nice read, with a good plot, and horror elements. Don't hesitate to take a look to relax your eyes from other darker novels <<less

This is one of my favorite unlimited flow novels, so I'm glad to finally see it translated!!!

MC is one of the most realistically written UF protagonists I've read, and his character development was done well. Seeing him grow really makes you feel like an old mother rooting for her child.

But although I love this story, I also partly hate it because it could've been so much more. The Author seems new, since they tend to push for common cliches instead of just letting the story develop naturally.

There is great chemistry between Tang Ning and his teammate turned best friend Lin Yun, and I enjoyed their relationship more than I did with Tang Ning+ML. But it's like the Author did not expect it at all and didn't know what to do with their dynamic.

The ML is fine on his own. But with Lin Yun's more natural relationship with Tang Ning there for comparison, I can't help but scream at the loss of potential.

There's also a reveal about Tang Ning in the later chapters that I felt was completely unnecessary and even undermined his development so far that it made me want to throw my phone and drop the story entirely. It's like the author simply added it because a lot of unli flow MCs have it, and it's infuriating aaaah

But the arc when this happened is also a very good one, so after venting for a while, I just went back to reading lol.

Anyways, this is a good read if you're looking for something above average, but not really for something top-tier. If you're a critical reader, then you're gonna be frustrated with all the missed potential. Like, it could've been really really GREAT if author just did a few things a bit differently.

Nonetheless, despite my frustrations, I still rec this story. Also, you're gonna love my son Lin Yun <3 <<less

As of this review, the first chapter's translation is incomplete, missing half the content, which means the transition to the second chapter doesn't really make much sense. Otherwise, the translation is alright, though there are some areas where it feels a sentence has been excluded, and the wrong pronouns are used.

The story itself is fine; the writing is expressive and it's still the introductory chapters, so I can't say much about the world building.

Main drawback is that, even though the summary already introduced MC's characteristics and so I should've expected... more>> it, he's still pretty annoying to read about. So far, he spends most of his time flailing about and relying on NPCs. Regardless of the systems evaluation of the first instance's difficulty, it's hard for us, the audience, to judge the real difficulty and danger of the situation, as MC does such a terrible job staying alert and avoiding danger.

Irregardless, so far the story IS what it says on the tin; a frail, scaredy-cat MC clinging to whatever ML the system has assigned him, so it gets 3 stars from me. <<less

Ok, so when I first read the reviews about the main character's personality I thought I'd be met with a purely frustrating MC. The type with some small good points that just don't make up for how much they drag things on. Something that could be solved with a single sentence ending up taking a whole arc type of situation.

That wasn't the main character at all, though. Yes they were timid, cowardly, and s*upid, but they were a person. Flawed with good points and bad just trying to make it... more>> by, just trying to live up to other's expectations, just trying to make their dream a reality, and just trying to live, to SURVIVE.

I actually enjoyed his personality and how that showed in everything he did. It wasn't just a fluke thing he kept consistent throughout the novel. Not only did he stick with his original character settings but he even developed. I can't tell you how many novels I've read that lacked any character development.

I'm honestly just writing this review because of the disparaging reviews I've read about the main character. I guess this is for the people who read the reviews before reading the novel.

If you really read this novel and take it in I think you'd enjoy it too. (Again not a masterpiece or anything it's certainly lacking in some aspects.) I'm just trying to say as a horror fan the MC's realistic personality was enjoyable.

I mean you have those OP MC's that immediately understand stuff and passes through them with ease showing no fear. Then you have those supposedly lacking, fearful, and weak MCs with either clearly over powered and not in the good way looks or luck. Where even though it's a horror novel they turn it into a face slapping/pure fluff romance one.

These aren't the only types of MCs in the horror yaoi genre, but the two extremes I'm using to compare to the MC of this novel.

He's not overpowered he's genuinely scared and he doesn't all of sudden overcome everything irl after the instances and become some OP figure in the eyes of others. He's still as flawed in the real world as he was originally. I also like how he stays dumb (I don't mean permanently) I mean during those times when he's trying to figure things out he's realistically overwhelmed. He doesn't luckily come across an answer, gain some miraculous EQ/IQ raise, or remain stuck and passively go over it like it isn't a life or death situation which I've seen MCs do this. It's used as a comedic scene or really there so the MC could realistically continue their relationship with the obviously potentially dangerous ML, but in a situation like that most often that not you couldn't just ignore the possibilities, problems, and fears when in a dangerous situation especially when it's right there glaring in your direction.

I haven't read the novel too far but I just wanted to say this story is just soooo interesting. I 100% recommend this.

The MC is super realistic as I too would be scared out of my wits if I saw ghosts. He is actually a lot more courageous than me. I would have killed myself if I saw the ghost or I would have been stuck to the ML like glue 24/7.

MC is super cute and I personally love weak x powerful pairing. It's just too cute.

Also the translations are... more>> just awesome. At first I thought since it is posted on wattpad, they wouldn't be good. But they are so accurate even though the translator said that English isn't their first language. &Lt;3 <3 <<less

This is the type of novel I have been looking for. Yes the MC is not clever and strong. And I do like strong and clever MC too, but sometime we need a change of phases.

For those who enjoy reading horror game boss ML like me I would recommend this for a try. But if you want to find strong MC solve the instant than this is not for you.

The story seems better then some other........ but I don't really like MC personally. He is s*upid and naive and draging other people down with him. He is also very cowardly and some what of a person who will get scared easily. I also feel bad for the ML in the 1st copy. Even though I feel frustrated reading this....I will contact and see if there will be any character development.

I wish it would have a happy ending and not much angst. I also wish that the second copy won't... more>> have MC laying on a corner and crying.... MC is kinda pathetic. He felt scared as he was suddenly thrown into a supernatural world... with ghosts. If he wasn't scared then there would be something wrong with his brain but I don't like him crying sooo much..... is it because of the cards traits of him being a fragile flower.

Huhhhhhh....I feel drained....I was reading this novel since 9am and now its 11:50am. I still haven't eten breakfast because I was reading this novel. Any way it was entertaining.

For me it's 4 stars..... but accidentally I press the wrong one and now I can't change it..... haha............

  1. Edit: have read this till chapter 95+ and there is some character development but MC is still a cry baby and weak physically. he is still kind of s*upid. There is some improvement in his personality. He had become more strong willed had gain powerful cards with no physical buff. He even gain a mermaid card where he have to stay mute all day for one chance to sing and get away from the danger. I'll stay tuned

This novel is easily one of my favorite unlimited flow stories. The plot is solid and really expressive, though the relationships between side characters feel a bit weak since the focus is mainly on the MC, his personal growth, the ML, and their relationship. But its still good though, especially the arc about MC's mom and how her story wraps up in the end (the extra). That said, I do wish the novel explored some of MC's friends more or the system.

Like, what happened to the system in the end? Especially after MC and ML passed the last arc and decided to become 'virus' (though they came again to the game just for sightseeing and reminiscing their past). Or about Jiang Mian? From the last arc, it seems like she didn't make it, but I still wanted more closure. Same with Lin Yun? Or Si Tai? That author guy was hilarious, I'd love to see more of his story, lmao😂 did he finally fill his pit or not?

Oh, and from the very start, the author goes hard on describing how insanely beautiful the MC is. There are so many paragraphs dedicated to his looks, whether in reality or every arc. I didn't mind it, honestly—it's kind of funny.

If you're into unlimited flow and don't mind a weak MC (timid, naive, etc) or constant descriptions of his beauty, this one is worth reading. The story is so good, I promise. My favorite arc was the ghost family arc—I was bawling my guts out. That one was brutal.
