Oh my god. I never would have thought it possible; a decent fanfiction translated on novelupdates. I'm a big fanfiction fan, but it seems like 99.9% of all fanfics translated on NU are tr*shy power fantasies with bad balancing, h**ny protagonists, and dumb ass side characters.

Well, I'll just say this. The cheat the protagonist has is balanced. The side characters are pretty funny, and the protagonist is an interesting person. EDIT: ch 123. Jesus f*cking christ this arc is insane. It's basically a buster call on his home island and this is the most suspense I've felt from a shounen-esque type media in a long time. Every time, it feels like the protagonist won't survive, and even though you know he probably will, there is still suspense from whether or not all his comrades will die or not. It's even better than the original one piece at this point since I havent really been feeling suspense from that manga for a while since you know for certain none of the main crew is actually gonna die. This is an okay novel, but it doesn’t have much to do with HxH. The only part that could be a part of hxh is negligible. This is a typical Chinese novel; it doesn’t do anything impressive or awfully wrong. The world building is pretty... ignorable, I guess, it really doesn’t matter.
