Transmigrated to a magical world, Chen Mo discovered that as long as he explores the truth of the world, he will get feedback and become stronger.

As a result, the former straight-A student sparks an academic storm in another world: sets off a burning revolution, builds geometric wizard towers, formulates the order of elements… discovers the theory of everything!

Standing on the podium, Chen Mo smiled contemptuously in the face of doubt:

“Your paper doesn’t prove anything.”

**

In fact, it is a story about a high school teacher, who transmigrates to another world and becomes the principal of a magical academy, uses the knowledge he learned on the earth to transform another world. It is a simple and pleasant farming story.

You should just take my word for it.

Chen Mo wakes up in the body of the playboy third son of a merchant empire. Due to family inheritance dispute the son became the owner of a all girls magic academy. The harem content is rather low for the setting.

This is a cultivation novel in a magic society, a magic society backed by mind blowing science.

There are various ways for a mage to cultivate their magic, train and understand the theories or go for a shortcut by researching and discovering new secrets of the world. For the MC who... more>> is a science teacher his cheat power is his memories of science but he can't just go dial to eleven because the mind blowing science is literal. If a mage can't accept the new understanding of the world from the paper they are reading their blood vessels would pop. If the physics in this magical world disagrees with MC's knowledge then it is his head that explodes, so he must proceed cautiously and do actual research experiments.

The author clearly researched on the topics to reproduce the experiments such as light as wave and particle, genetic inheritance, atomic orbits etc. There are a few chapters dedicated to describing the experiments and results. The rest of the chapters have comfortable level of science weaved in.

There's the fetish EARTH FOOD SUPERIOR but it makes sense as it's a food that has been embraced by practically all nation and culture. The commercialization chapters are entertaining sides to this meal.

It's not a fighting story but the few that are available have solid actions.

There is some lore and world building enough to draw a sketch of the world. Although most of the story is limited to the academy and the wizard tower the other areas does show the talent the author has if he focuses on world building.

The side characters introduced are not forgotten, and most return later on. The author gave each of them a strong role that it was not difficult to remember them when they return.

I don't read too many cultivation novel so I haven't encountered too many of the specie young master repeat ad infinitum and I have not seen it here. It's a persistent world and only one ranking, there's no Let's laugh at the new guy again plot, rather he gets a moniker early on that stays with him and all fearfully respect him for it.

The author had to jettison and cut the plot because someone complained to Qdian. The ending arc feel like it came earlier than planned but he manages to give it a satisfactory end, enough that I don't regret reading it. Surprisingly the description summary doesn't stray far from the story. <<less

Average novel. Its basically the inferior version of "Throne of Magical Arcana". If you remove the Religion and musician story arc from TMA then you will get "Greetings, Mister principal". I'm gonna list some similarities below-

    1. World building is similar. An ancient magic empire was destroyed and from its ashes, a legendary mage established modern magic system.
    2. When a person finds out/proves certain laws in this world, then he gets feedback from world. The more feedback they get, more powerful they become.
    3. Our MC transmigrate into the body of a young man in this world. He then finds out that by proving laws (which he remembers from earth) he could become powerful. So he do experiments to make sure the laws are similar, then he writes up the thesis and published them in papers with the goal of earning citation points.
    4. When a mage have strong belief in certain theories and laws, their cognitive world is formed around these laws. So when these laws are proven wrong. Their brains will explode and they will die. Sounds familiar?
    5. Magic community is divided into several branch like elemental, alchemy, necromancy, etc. Each branch have their own organizations and prestigious awards. Author did not even bother to change the name of necromancy's highest award, i.e., "immortal throne award".
Now, why I consider this inferior to Throne of Magical Arcana? Because author removed all the exciting arcs, like when church was out to purify MC in TMA. Instead we get all the cliches here like MC saving a girl who is getting married forcefully by her family members. In TMA, we hade a strong, independent, decisive FL, here instead we have a tsundere professor who acts like a little girl. And MC character contradict itself, MC's profession is teacher in both lives. He follows teachers code and is morally upright person, but next moment he is designing school dresses for girls in his school which are too revealing. Author changed MC's character for fan service.

I would suggest TMA before this. If you have already read TMA then you may read it. Just don't have much expectation.

This is a surprisingly good novel given that a lot of Chinese fantasy novels are very similar in how the story progresses. The MC gets reincarnated into the body of an useless hire to a merchant family in a world filled with magic. Originally the MC was pretty well versed in science and mathematics and now he discovers he can use that knowledge to become a strong mage. What is nice is that there is no system or anything like that and that the story is pretty well thought through,... more>> and that is important if you make physics, math and chemistry have an important role in the story.

Off course this wouldn't be a Chinese fantasy novel if it didn't have dumb young masters, I mean the MC even transmigrated into the body of one of those dumb young masters, and grudges that were acquired for s*upid reasons but it doesn't dominate the story and so far is just part of the sub storylines. It might change but I have a feeling that even if it does it would not have the same negative impact on the story as what I'm used to with the average fantasy novel of this genre.

But what made me smile the most is that the author dared to not only describe physics and chemistry experiments in detail he even wrote down math equations and have the MC talk about it in detail (number theory, geometry and trigonometry). Off course there was not enough detail to learn mathematical proofs, it is a novel after all, but there was enough to know that the words the MC used to describe the math is in the same direction of what the equations were saying.

There are many positives about this story, and that includes the translation (and editing) quality. But the site is also an example of an worrying trend I see more and more with new translation sites and that is the sites are too much geared towards earning money. What these new translators must not forget is that they are translating the work of others, often without permission of the original author/publisher, and earning money with their translations. When you have over 50 chapters available on patreon than you can no longer argue before a judge that you're not taking away possible earnings from the original author. If this happens by only 1 site than it's not so bad but when more and more sites operate like this there will come retaliation and it is very much possible that this will also destroy the amateur translation sites for people who are using translations to learn a different language or just want to share the amazing stories from different countries. So far the industry have avoided problems because the majority are not trying to earn money from it <<less

For a Chinese novel, this is top tier. Although the premise seems bleak because of possible arc repetitions, it is not boring and the story is delivered in a great way. Compared to most Chinese modern fantasy and cultivation novels, the world building, logic, and characters are the best.

The story is about a Chinese being transmigrated into a body of the third son of a merchant family, Reiner Ian Gray. In order to choose the successor of their business, their father entrusted an amount of money into them and they... more>> would have to grow them. The most successful of them all will then be the one to inherit. The story revolves around the magic academy and various magic institutions/events where the MC introduces modern scientific and mathematical knowledge. Everytime a person introduces a knowledge or principle, the will of the world blesses them and the listeners some magic power.

The reading experience is the best I had in months of finding good novels, although not heavy, it is the best blend to spend some valuable time and save some braincells. <<less

Holy sh*t this is a good novel.

Basically transmigration yadayadayada who cares, but what does matter is that the protagonist is: 1. The principal of a magic school, which they actually make full use of and creates some interesting dynamics (with one problem which I will talk about later) 2. Has an extremely strong mindset of a scientist, for example, even though he knows a lot of the science stuff from our world, he still actually tests to make sure they are true in the new world 3. Extremely proactive, he... more>> constantly works towards his goals, and actually stands up for himself and others instead of being a wet tissue paper to pressure.

Also some moments got me hella emotional, like the only reason I didnt cry one time was cause I was in school and had to keep it down to watery eyes.

However there are a few minor issues, mainly the comedy in this is bland, you can only find claire eating a lot of food to be funny so many times (if ever).

Heres the thing I said I was going to bring up later, the school is an all girls school, and the MC, the principal, is a guy, and although it luckily doesn't turn into a questionable age harem, the students are semi-oftenly sexualized, though it honestly feels more like author wish fulfillment than an actual trait of the MC, since sometimes I cant tell if its the MC or the narrator making the medium-level pervy comments. <<less

Although the premise of this story looked similar to Throne of Magical Arcana, it's not. You could actually compare this novel to Scholars Advance Technology. Basically, this novel focus Science p*rn rather than character development of TMA. For reader of Scholars Advance Technology, you'll find this story quite similar in its storytelling. This story scratches the itch that I have about dispensing science to Isekai and it's well done in doing that

5/5

An excellent novel that's likely not for everyone. To sum up, this novel is a reenactment of the golden age of Earth science where genius is abundant and advancement in science is rapid. The main story has nothing to do with the MC being the principal of an all-girl academy or harem but he leads the entire academic development with his knowledge from the Earth. These topics include the Theory of Biological Evolution, Periodic Table, Radiation, Spectrum, Atomic Models, Electrolysis, Electrodynamics, Wave Functions, Relativity, Quantum Mechanics. A science novel with... more>> a touch of fantasy. The author makes use of the most well know experiments coupled with multiple paragraphs to explain the basics to the reader which is adequate for someone who has touched on all these subjects before. Even though it's only the theory part, without proper diagrams, I imagine that first-timer will barely understand any of the excitement these characters have.

The story is slow to progress but at a firm pace from the start to the end, apart from one section that will be elaborate later. The description of the environment and world-building is more than enough for the reader to imagine a vivid picture. The character development is progressive and their view will shift according to the various events. A very nice touch. Many events that happen are very dramatic and the author portrays the emotion properly. The ending is perfect, while not unique, answers all the questions that haven't been answered. Any type of combat barely exists in this novel if anyone is here for the intense battle, steer clear. The MC's highest kill chain is from a paper.

The endnote of the author state that a large chunk of the last arc was omitted due to Chinese censorship. The development of one of the characters was cut short clearly, from a short description, should be fairly dramatic. <<less

I really enjoy this novel, but it is a little bit of a bait and switch.

As a previous commenter mentioned, this story doesn't really fulfil the setup of a Principal of an academy. 167 chapters in and the entire school still only has ~30 students. Instead it mainly seems about the MC experimenting and introducing concepts from Earth mixed with current life knowledge.

If you can set aside that the rest of the novel has been rather enjoyable, both translator groups Otakutl and Luminary Translations have done excellent jobs in my... more>> opinion.

To the elements of romance in this novel. This has been some light background setup of a harem, but nothing overt. The main romance seems to be between the MC and the vice principal, but it is a slow burn for sure. The light harem I speak of seems to be entirely one sided from a few of the girls who were directly helped by the MC. None of them has said anything overt or made anything that could be interpreted as a "move." I have not read ahead, so I don't know if this will change in the future. <<less

So I realize this novel is only beginning, but we are only at chapter 18 and already half the chapters were about rankings and points.

It tells me everything I need to know about this novel.

Típical fair, where after the OP as hell MC gets on the top of *insert currently really important ranking list* he will move on to the next ranking where obviously he is at the very bottom.

No thank you.

I was originally gonna give this 4 stars, but the author used one of the strong points of this novel in such excess it turned it it's biggest flaw.

So, good about this novel is that the protagonist is the principal of an all girls school, but there is no harem. Only a single girl likes him romantically (so far), the dean of the academy. I would call her *clumsily cute'.

The protagonist gains the the respect and trust of his students, but there is no romantic development. Not really because he... more>> has such a great moral compass, but because he isn't much romantically interested in general. Although he seems to have some feelings for the dean, I think he is waiting for her to realize her own feelings, as she is really childish and not ready for a relationship.

What I also appreciate is the authors' view of minors below 18. He describes the dean, a 20 year old, as an attractive young girl and presents a view of students being children, which are not to be viewed as romantic interests. I believe any romantic development with students, as long as they are students and even after they graduate, as long as they are emotionally not mature enough, is out of the question.

What I also like is that the protagonist not only proves his brilliance through copying knowledge from earth blindly, no, he has to prove his experiments carefully and perform repeatable experiments to prove it. He has to work hard and systemically to make use of his knowledge.

The most controversial point:

I liked (past tense) how much detail the author puts into describing things.

I dislike (present tense) how much detail the author puts into describing things.

The author describes everything that happens in great details and often uses very short time skips. By now half a year should have passed. At the beginning I liked it, but now it only annoys me and makes me impatient, because the plot goes nowhere and he describes many redundant things. I DON'T NEED TWO CHAPTERS DESCRIBING THE LOOKS, TASTE AND TEXTURE OF A SINGLE MEAL!!!!

He puts so much detail in everything, it reminds me of cramming for school. If I cram great amounts of information in my head, then I forget most of the things I learned before that. Every scene is so overflowing with information, at one point you are gonna forget most details, leaving you with a memory of a short story which can be summarized in 10 sentences.

Seeing how I am halfway through the novel and he is still a Ring 3 Wizard, I either predict a rushed ending, to catapult him to the legendary level (Ring 10) or an axed one where the novel stops in the middle of his journey.

4 stars start, 3 stars middle, predicted 2 stars ending, overall 3 stars.

To compare it with cooking and eating: If you eat a tasty meal every day (detailed writing) without some change in between, then this meal will slowly lose it's tastyness until you possibly are gonna dislike it. This novel needs a counterbalance to the detailed writing or a break in which you aren't bombarbed with information. For example good action novel/movies/anime etc. Also need breaks in between action scenes.

Edit: For some reason my rating, 3 stars isn't shown. Such a shame, I can't counterbalance those idiots *ahem' I mean people who give everything 5 stars, because of which even tr*sh novel have above 3 stars and average novels above 4 stars. Not that I'm calling this novel tr*sh. <<less

From the review it seems like a typical harem novel, unexpectedly it isn't, which is a good thing. However, the novel is a low grade copy of Throne of Magical Arcana, how the way science affect magic is portrayed in a very similar way as TMA, at first, I thought it was just a coincidence, but later on it was just a bad copy of it. And yet, the problem does not lie there, it lies in the fact that the novel is supposed to be a slice of life,... more>> but the plot advances too quickly, maybe rushed?, to be one. Also, the annoying chapters: 1) I awoke 2) I had breakfast 3) I went to the bath 4) I went to school 5) I talked to my friend 6) A continuation of the talk with my friend 7) An end to the talk with my friend.

Not really recommended, but no that bad to continue complaining. <<less

One word - meh! It isn't a farming story. It doesn't even fulfill the original setup of principal of academy as the academy goes nowhere.
