As long I met the minimum attendance for credit in my classes, I was fine.
Well, I’ll just study hard, go to a regular college, and become a salaryman or something, I guess…
That was the future I envisioned as I lazed around at home.
But in the spring of my last year of high school, I met you. The you, who was wild, naive, and direct with your dreams more than anyone else. I was infected by your attitude.

We, complete opposites, meet, and are instantly drawn to each other.
The two of us are torn between the delicate balance of love and the actualization of our dreams, but—

Face your true self, declare goodbye to yesterday’s pretense, and bloom wildly in the blue spring!

IT'S.... IT'S HERE!!!

When I first heard this was getting a novel I was so excited to at least see the illustrations, but I never thought it would get translated this early. 5 stars for now, just because, but I'm definitely excited to read more

If you're looking for a fluffy romance novel, don't read this. This is more of a story about your dreams and so on.

Spoiler

there was a character who was sort of being bullied by her friends, but she was never talked about after we see her get bullied

. The work they put in to their dreams are also not talked about, making the story very short and light.

Some spoilers about the ending:

Spoiler

They left each other without even confessing, even after he kissing him on the cheeks? What the hell. And they couldn't even make a promise to meet up sometime? (Assuming messaging apps or emails weren't invented that time, if they were, that makes it worse) The ending is really cliche, but at least make it a good cliche ending like bruh.

Honestly really good. If you’re looking for a pure romance, however, then this is a pass as it isn’t that at all.

It’s more a novel of self discovery and finding what it means to become someone. The romance is basically a subplot.

Still really good though.

In the end, it feels more like a motivational speech than a story. Hardships are glossed over and encouraging messages are abundant. Even the efforts are sparse in details. It makes for a light and easy read, but because it's so light it barely made any impression. I'm sure I'll forget about this story in a couple of days.

That said, there is one detail that irks me.

Spoiler

There is one girl who made another girl in her clique an errand girl. The second girl popped up only twice in the story, the first time to be ordered around to show the conflict between FMC and 1st girl, and the second time she just said the 1st girl isn't so bad. After that, 1st girl did some slight trick to "win" against FMC, but she regretted that and apologized to FMC, and MC said she wasn't too bad. But the 2nd girl plot thread is never explicitly resolved, and who knows if she was still running errand for the rest of her school year or not.

tl;dr: an unremarkable read. <<less

First off, thanks to the translator, because without them, this review would not be possible.

Next, I loved the first four chapters of this book. I really enjoyed the story. And honestly, even chapter six was ok. I didn't mind the ending. However, the timeskip to chapter 5 and the contents of this chapter ruined the story for me. Rather than finding a narrative path to the ending (chapter 6), the author took a shortcut, ruined the narrative flow, and stunted the story. It is too bad, because this could have... more>> been a good one. <<less
