Someone told me about the world before I was born. So… the world before the Earth Blackholes appeared was a normal world.

This story is about an abnormal world. Where unknown life forms emerged from these blackholes that communicates with another world. These invaders massacred many humans, and when the world started turning into a living hell, a special species of human showed up. They had extraordinary abilities and helped to resolve the situation. But people came to fear the special species and separated them from normal humans. Some went to the government. Others conspired with international companies. And the rest made their own organization and hid themselves with magic.

Its been twenty years since the blackholes first appeared. The special species are still there, hiding their true identities, living amongst normal people.

I'm going to respond to a bad review about this novel, excuse my english, is not my native lenguage.
    • "So great, he's the son of an 'immortal' and a 'werewolf' who are just casually living their lives. And for precisely no good reason he suddenly wants to join the army. He's shown to have no motivation for it either".

The dad it's not casually living his live he works for a company of inmortals (that has some goverment founding), and he and the mom don't talk to their partner about being a non human species because they can endanger them, also the company has confidential agrements.

The reasons of the MC wanting to join the army are explored later, and is just because some army people/hunters or something rescue him when he was little, he tought they were cool fighting the monsters.

I think in the worldbuilding is stablished that all non human species that dont look human are killed, there were some experiments of mad scientist on making hybrids but all of then were monster looking or something MC was lucky, his an irregular.

There is literaly a few plot points abut the downside of the powers. Inmortals have too much sensitivity, is so bad that a few of them buy a whole building and made it soundproof so they can sleep, it gets better as they learn to control the power with age. Some animorphes (I think there is sub species not just werewolfs, more like werepeople idk), have problems controling their instincts and emotions, like lust or rage, and if they are not educated and trained well can commit crimes, the mom is the one thar disciplines the MC cause she is worried about that stuff.

The wold is not at peace, there are regular outbreaks of monster and terrorist organizations but there is good control for the goverment and companies, but there is a lot of action involved.

The translator notes have helped me realize that the author writes very casually. It's no wonder that some small details in the story seem all over the place. I still rate the story well, because I am enjoying it. I'll update my rating and review if this changes later.

The largest contradiction may be that the MC cannot decide if he wants to be high key or low key. He knows the importance of hiding his strength, but can't seem to hold back when it matters. The most recent chapter I... more>> read has him putting his identity at risk.

He reveals something okay to say and with the irresponsible thought 'it's not like it's a secret anyway', accidentally says a full normal introduction with his real name out of habit... to non-immortals. If his parents get into a fight and divorce or he ends up hunted down as a research subject, it's his fault.

He's smart, so smart that he doesn't bother to think sometimes. His life has been too easy and his confidence in his own strength too high for him to keep his guard up.

The MC may be a mess at the moment, but I'm still interested in his journey through this rather new setting. He has a lot of growth potential and the world has enough background conflict. This story will be really good if the author can capitalize on the potential despite being dragged down by a weak start with issues in consistency and pacing.

I personally would like to see the author develop some less toxic character relationships for the main cast, despite understanding that most of the special humans the MC interacts with (shapeshifters and immortals) are irritable by nature. I honestly like the introduction of 'beautiful b****' type characters. To a degree. It's a nice break from unrealistic perfect likable beautiful characters with no depth. The issue is that almost every new character is this type, just with unique new ways to be rude. Some contrast is sorely needed. <<less

Although people may dislike this work, I really liked it, perhaps its because I like novels where the MC is not too much OP and the world building is interesting, I like slow pace writing as well (if I'm not wasting my time, cause always has the possibility of a shitty development)

It's a comedy series. Which may be why this is a so so novel but good manwha. In text form jokes fell a bit flat and story seems dull. In visual format series present itself as a comedy more clearly. Protagonist is strong and he is pretty petty. But he doesn't come off as mean or abrasive. Which is quite rare for a korean MC so I am scoring it 4 instead of 3 (manga is 4.5/5, visual gags elevates it a lot). An exceptionally uninspired series with nothing new to bring to the table and not even a good execution of previously existing tropes.
