“Demeter hid you away so well… I had a lot of trouble finding you.”

Persephone’s cloak was peeled off by the man’s sinewy hand. Her shoulders shivered due to the chills. The tightness in her chest was overwhelming, and the hem of the chiton rolled up to the stomach in no time. Persephone could only perceive his voice.

“Persephone.”

Persephone, the man called her name. His tongue and warm breath were licking the nape of her neck while he uttered the syllables of her name.

“Why are you acting like a scared sheep? Didn’t you say you were not afraid?”

Imo this novel's pretty underrated.

It did a great job at depicting the complexity of Persephone, I've never read a female protagonist like her. She's cunning, greedy, passionate, and full of wrath, iconic traits of all Greek gods. The novel doesn't attempt to justify her cruelty and that's fascinating. I don't think anyone should dismiss her as "crazy" either, because anything and everything goes in her world. Compared to the amount of crap Zeus pulled? Nah, Persephone's a darling. Hades on the other hand, was portrayed with deep vulnerabilities in a... more>> way that male leads usually aren't. His relationship with Persephone may not be the healthiest, but it was damn fun to read about.

The prose was written well, and the story was a simple one that doesn't complicate itself with contrived plot events. Definitely one of the better retellings of the myth of Hades & Persephone. <<less

Really interesting pov of these Greek mythology characters... Hades is not necessarily the purely wicked villain and Persephone is not necessarily the purely innocent victim. I’m really interested to see how this story progresses 🤔. Thanks translator for sharing ❣️

In my opinion the reinterpretation of the myth of this couple is very hard to read.

In general if the story was about Amphitrite, in the same type of narrative could be a fantastic story. But we read, and read again reinterpretation of the same myth.

I expected this story to be good but I was left confused until the end. The FL was bratty, she brought trouble to her friends then she go to the underworld, f*cked Hades, then stole his invisibility cap, then played hard to get saying things like 'I can't disappoint my mother'. Like b*tch you waited until you've done the deed before you think of the consequences? Frustrating.

I love Greek Mythology. And when I start reading this one, it was amazing. It was short but WOW. The character, smut, story etc everything was perfect for me. At some moment I felt it was true, literally it was the behind the scene about the incident. Presephone might not be the innocent one and Hades might not be the evil.

The victim might be the instigater and Criminal can be a victim.

But in the end it was fantastic and would really recommend to everyone.

So, this is a retelling of Persephone and Hades... and it starts with the “r*pe of Persephone”

I honestly feel like the author saw the name of the story and was like “yes. r*pe... s*x... I can work with this..!” Not realizing that the word “rape” in this case means “an act or instance of carrying away a person by force” AKA abduction

bc if you remember, Persephone was kidnapped by hades etc etc

So, my expectations for this are a bit... low. Even for a smut novel... and it’s probably only because... more>> I know these Greek stories a bit better than the average reader.

but so long as the smut is good, I won’t complain too much about artistic liberties to the source material lmao <<less

one thing!!!! SHORT BUT WOWWW!! Never been in to Hades and Persephone's love story but I was so close to believing this is the REAL story behind them. Strangely enough this felt light and one forgiving despitethe immorral exerpts, atleast for FL and ML alone.

The story was great at expressing both of (1) MLs side of story which were always depicted as evil villain of stories and (2) FLs complexities, a character thay willingly loved him and not just 'a dumsel abducted out of unwanted terms by the terrible villain... more>> Hades'. (3) Lastly, as generic stories, audience has always have the tendency to put focus on direction of the 'protagonist' while blinded by thier twisted personalities and sees villain as straight up the bad guy without putting up picture or sympathy to their origin becoming one. I loved that this story set up everyones footholding as character even if its just short while that made it seems like everyone is imperfect and has evil within themselves, not forgetting to be brutal and harsh but strangely enough, theres not a single villain in it.

Translation 11/10 GREAH JOB!!

Smut: 9/10 [not as hot as other smut stories but wasnt expecting the twist of s*xual aggressiveness here.] <<less

3.5 ⭐

Okay this was... something.

Even though it´s a persephone and Hades retelling, the novel has a really different approach of what could be the obvious or typical story. For example, Perephone is crazy. Like actually crazy. Hades was better than her, morally, I mean.

Although i´m not saying that Hades was good tbh. Both of them are f*cked up. Also I feel like Hades´ feelings were a little bit rushed.
