child s*xual abuse, child trafficking, the wealthy being filthy pedos yuck

it's kinda the core of the shou's past and plays a big role in this story so yeah. It's not super graphic.

It started off with kinda adorable with the cliche accidental one night stand but the reading experience took a sharp nosedive into an ocean of dogblood drama infested with flat, vicious villains out for the shou's blood. It was really unpleasant to read but a necessary (?) evil since this is only 25 chapters short. That's just my thoughts, but you might enjoy this more than I did :D

This story depicts the transformation of an insecure, powerless Omega and a confident, wealthy Alpha who get together under a messy mix of pheromones. The Omega is finally discovering happiness but his past continues to haunt him. However, the Alpha will not let that stop his love! Sounds domineering but the Alpha is really a cinnamon roll and full of goodness. I feel so bad for him whenever there's a gap in communication since it hurts them both QAQ <<less

The translation is really hard to read, I feel like it's MTL'd and barely edited. I can barely understand anything and that just distracted me from understanding a huge chunk of the story and ultimately ruined the reading experience.

A mere agent can destroy such a popular actor's career? And why would said actor just stand by and do nothing when he's aware of how evil the agent is?! He is even a major shareholder of the company. That's just ridiculous and unbelievable IMO.

I liked the alpha ML a lot. He comes off as a capable alpha but he acts like a total novice in love with the omega MC. I felt like the ML is more invested in the relationship than the MC. For all the things the ML did for the MC, I feel like the MC's reaction is lukewarm at best.

Then again the MC liking the CEO of his company despite the guy being a scum says something about his taste. I still can't believe he let go of his shares in the company just like that and that scum CEO didn't even get punished for harassing the MC.

I initially thought this was a fluffy read but nope. Full of plot holes and unlikable characters. Even the MC's bestfriend comes off as annoying and inconsiderate. <<less

why the hell was the agent motivated to destroy his own actor??? just to get together with the CEO? why the hell didn't MC switch agents after knowing FOR A LONG TIME that his own agent was batsh*t crazy?

apparently MC owned 20% shares of the company, was responsible for bringing in 30% of the company's total revenue (FYI a company like that would be hella tiny)... and he didn't bother to stand up for himself at all? And his agent was totally OK screwing him over? MC even literally gifted over the shares for free???? Absurd.

Agree with most of the reviews.

I expected a short fluffy comedy and got chilhood trauma, s*xual abuse (not grafic but god the tags didnt really prepare me for this!!) And a bunch of confusion, not sure if it was the mtl or the story per se but Woow I didnt understand it would be so dark till half the book.

Thanks god is short cuz thats the only reason it isnt a tragedy also the HE but it was very lukewarm so it was barelly a HE really.

ML really likable, sweet... more>> and funny.

MC seems likable but too much of a punching bag, almost idiotic if he wasnt so traumatized.

Don't recomend if you want a light hearted comedy, better for a melancholic afternoon to curl up sad but not too sad in bed. <<less

Accidental one-night-stand turned into love-at-first-sight evolved to happy ending.

Though it's short, I think the story still is reasonably balanced. There are no superfluous characters... they are easy to understand. Things are resolved quickly enough. Of course if a reader is looking for sweet, cute, fluffy, characters or situations with lot of extremes or smut then this novel is not the one. Also I skipped all parts imitating gossip posts.

Worth recommending short novel.

It was cute but the story shifted from like oh we have such good chemistry to everyone has PTSD and no more romance.

Like it's HE but it felt like I got a bit of a switch halfway through the story.

The story started out good with Ji Cheng and Lu Jingze’s one night stand. But once the story started to go into Ji Cheng’s past it felt like there were too many plot holes that just raised more questions.

Ji Cheng’s complicated past with his adoption was barely touched on in the later chapters, at the next moment Lu Jingze settled everything. Even his “deep friendship” with Wang Ye seemed to be one of hate (ex. Remember the bathroom scene) yet Ji Cheng still gave him his shares from the entertainment company. Also what was happening with his agent, Ji Cheng was such a large share holder yet he still put up with his agent plotting against him.

Its a shame that the author didn’t go into more detail and it felt like there was so much missing from the story’s potential. In the end maybe this would have been a better story if there were more then 25 chapters. <<less

It's kinda apparent that the author didn't know much about the entertainment or business circle. They just wrote whatever they wanted and studied zilch about those topics. There are lots of logical gap and honestly, at chapter 11 I've stopped caring about them.

I was just expecting a short and sweet omegaverse read, but even that topic wasn't breached out by the author. There's no final marking, no wedding, no declaration of love. Heck, even no mpreg despite the tags saying so.

We'll just blame the short chapters XP

hoho, it’s not that bad...

since it’s just 25 chapters, they don’t dwell much on the details and stuff kinda just happens fast but in general I think it was quite good and easy to understand

okay to read as long as you’re not looking for some well-developed story

A cliché story. Got annoyed by the ML so I got bored

the ML have a sober mind when he met the MC and yet they end up doing the deed and he put the temporary mark while MC is not sober instead giving inhibitor or bringing a doctor and now the next day he was planning to mark him already without knowing each other after he put a mark on him.

MC is an entertainment artist and of course the ML is gonna be like op rich characters who gonna help... more>> the MC from its villain boss/agent characters. So yeah a cliché ML partner

an upright start of opening for ML who save him from getting r*pe for other alpha and yet after that MC still got r*pe/non consent temporary mark while not sober with his saver 😒 got dissappointed with the ml. <<less

The title is funny, but the story is plaim. The sypnosys is interesting, but the translation is quite frustrating.

I can see the original work seem better, the overall story and translation is not bad, but need more seasoning.

I wanted to give 3 stars, but I am thankful to the author and translator effort, hence the 4 stars. Keep it up!
