It's a sweet and beautiful story of how two mature people worked out their relationship.

Yes they got divorce. From the start readers can see they still love each other. But as the story goes on, it showed they love each other a lot, much more than I thought at the start of story.

The story is pretty short, only 41 chapters, and it only focus on MC and ML, how they met, why they got divorce and how they tried to solve the problem between them before getting remarried. It has... more>> no unnecessary misunderstanding, no unnecessary plot twist and no unnecessary side characters. All are in just right amount.

I love how mature MC and ML are in this story. MC seems a little childish compared to his age at first but it's not the case.

I totally recommend this if you're into this kind of story. Long time ago I've read a similar divorce and getting back together story and hate ML a lot and still remember how I disklike that story. But, here, this one is totally different. I hope people would give it a try, may be it's not your taste but I guess most people would like it. <<less

What a pleasant surprise. This novel caught me off guard as I was expecting a run-of-the-mill wife-chasing crematorium but was elated to find out there’s depth and a promising story to explain their divorce.

What would cause a married couple who were together for 16 years and still seem attached emotionally to reasonably divorce?Jealousy, guilt, or is it because of love? This is a slice of life novel that starts out with the MC and ML a week after their divorce, and despite trying to move on, the MC keeps finding... more>> himself navigating the road back to the ML. This is a novel about love and trust, and that starts first with conquering the obstacles within themselves before they can honestly and sincerely love one another. The author dropped quite a few hints about the nature of their divorce, but it wasn’t until the reveal that all the dots finally connected, and I gave the author an outstanding applaud for pulling a realistic, yet believable story.

“The fate between him and Lu Yang was the fate of his life. It was as if there was an invisible rope, one end pulling Chen Yuchuan and the other end pulling Lu Yang. At the beginning, their rope was loose, and the distance was very long. But slowly, they were being pulled together.” <<less

A good story about how someone who has everything spends his life making problems for himself. I know plenty of people who have underdeveloped prefrontal cortexes through no fault of their own, but MC makes himself into a hysterical 34yo toddler, a class of his own. The gap between MC and ML is not just in a few brain cells -- where feelings are concerned, MC is all tooth and tail, there is NO brain.

Beautiful, thank you for the translation. Loved the angst. Story flowed quite well, slowly starts to untangle the reason for the divorce. Of course, it's mainly told in the unreliable perspective of the MC but ML also does his part in communicating. They're really sweet. I cried twice.

The fact that there's a reason for everything.. And the flashbacks really didn't help in me being overly emotional. I love them.

Not bad. It was better than I had expected tbh. I expected to not like the MC because he seemed childish and rash at the start. But after awhile I gradually liked him. He really love the ML alot. It was super obvious. Regarding his actions, I cant say to fully understand but I can partially understand why he felt like that and why he did those things.

The author added too many details that didn't really add anything to the story. It must've been for the sake of adding more slice of life flavor to it, because the story is a bit heavy on the angst and tension between the main couple.

The thing is, the slice of life parts felt like they were added as an afterthought, and not as an integral part of the mood. In fact, they were almost always presented as narrations and not as actual events that the characters actively engage in.

Other than... more>> that, the story is a great take on married couples and what can cause a break down of the marriage. <<less

Thanks for the translator for helping me find this amazing one. The characters are so well fleshed out and act according to their age. It deals with an existing relationship and the tacit understanding that the two have.

I thought it would be a lighthearted ex-lovers to lovers but it went a little more deeper in the relationship between two of them which is a very nice read.

I would say that MC character might be a hit or miss for some readers bc of how he may seem "childish" or brash in the relationship and might dislike him for ML but I think ML can manage him well. ML knows the buttons to push and what not.

I would recommend to read this because knowing the cause of their... more>> relationship to be shaken was heartbreaking. I can see and understand why MC turned away from ML. He is in the wrong for shutting out the ML but I understand.

It's well written but I still can't keep up with MC emotional phase. I felt it's too abruptly change.

Chen Yuchuan angry at first behave like mad dog many chapters and he stop angry in 1 chapter then he call ML 'brother' sweetly like the cute kitten. Then he chase after him when they still not solve thier own problems. (I don't understand why he change/ stop run away)

It's Push and pull story. MC run away at frist then he run back to ML but ML run and hide from... more>> him. And they make up finally.

I read this because I want to know why they divorced and I'm not spoil you because I think that fun and make you continue read this novel if I spoil it. It's might be boring.

For me, it's about s*upid couple fight.

Not angst, no sweet, no bitter because I'm not into it. Even I know the truth real cause I still think they're nonsense and behave too emotional. Not practical enough.

When MC told reader about how relationship so good this and that before I just see only red flag 🤣 I really wonder is they 're in toxic relationship?

Chen Yuchuan don't have own cycle of friends, don't have place to go and don't know how live his own live. He depend on ml.

And when I read this kind of story. Make me realised why I still single 😂.

How much they attached to eachother and how they work out their relationship annoyed me.

The author try to hide the real reason why they break up so story a bit drag.

  • chtr: 7.5/10 (pretty gd chtrs both of them had their cons and pros, ML is very straightforward etc, MC is more of the rebellious impulsive kind tbh they match well together even if they are opposites but as u know opposites always end up havin the most misunderstandings, the break they "had" was def a must but I wished the MC went to explore more and make more friends like I understand his circumstances but like he is too sticky to ML, ML on the other hand is like going wayyy with the flow and like everything is part of his plan bs which was unnecessary)

  • overall: 8/10 (pretty decent read)
