TL;DR: Infinite transmigration showcasing the main character's descent into depravity.

I love the concept of this novel more than anything. The system, the interworld travel, the main character's personality, etc. There are so many great ideas coming together to build up this novel and all of it is for naught.

First of all, the interworld travel is not into original creations. The author straight-up just takes the worlds of other fantasy authors and pastes them into this novel. For example, the first world he traveled into was Van Helsing, the second was... more>> HOMM 3, the third is Hellboy, etc. There is no originality, only a lazy author.

This leads to the novel being in a weird state of duality. If you understand the random fantasy worlds he is in, then you feel bored from knowing what is going to happen. If you don't know them, then you feel lost as the author expects you to know them.

It entirely ruins one of the main things that I thought could make this novel great.

Next, the romance is outrageously bad.

I started reading this novel on Webnovel so I didn't get to see the harem tag before starting it. That tag explains a ton about how poor this author is at writing romance. He clearly gets negative play.

The romance single-handedly turns this novel from being an uncomfortable read to an unbearable read. It is extremely forced, superficial, and entirely drags down the plot. Despite my love for the base concept, I physically cannot read any more of this tr*sh.

I may consider recommending this novel to a brain-damaged fellow who enjoys harem. Normal folk are better off staying far away. <<less

The MC is Just a coward and dumb. This guy got R**ed and end up as just a servent to the w**re who ra**ed him. MC also have wierd fetish to become a grren hat, two of his wife are succubus, and they F*** everything even though they are married to MC. MC is just a pathetic cu**old, who can only watch his wife f*** random guys and do nothing about it.
Spoiler

The MC was send to his death by a demon king called LIlith, with the mission of retrieving an item called red sea egg. In order to get this item MC actually died once, but due to some plot armor he was able to retrive it. This red sea egg is a really powerful item of the creator, this thing allowed the MC to increase his power ten times, every time he use it.

So he obviously hide this thing from Lilith. But after some chapter he meet up with this B*** Lilith again, at this time MC is clearly more powerful than her, but he just choose to give this red sea egg to this Lilith, because she just asked for it. Who in their right mind would hand such a powerful item to someone who ploted to kill you?

Not only that, after giving this thing to Lilith, she was finally able to merge both void power and the chaos power of MC, Basically she staels the unique power of MC. And MC is not worried at all, he just wanna lick her feet like a dog, because she said she was the first creation of the creator.

If you think that wasn't enough, the next thing she does is r**e our MC to breed a kid out of him. This guy was completely helpless and was r***ed by a 200 million year old w**re. If you think she is one of those girls who is loyal after s*x, then you are wrong. She still have millions of hunsbands and billions of childrens, MC is just another victim of her.

I completely ruined my time by reading this novel for 500 chapters

It starts with a very nice concept and with a good delivery for the first chapters.

As the story progresses things start to go sideways:

  • The teleportation to movies and lore is completely unnecessary, the demon summoning would have bene more thrilling to the reader if there was a new environment to discover every time. This couldn't happen because the writing is very lazy, as it can be felt in each world, including the home world, where everything just falls into the MC laps without much of a planning or struggle. The satisfaction that should be felt is completely offset by the lack of effort perceived.
  • Apparently everyone is simply braindead except for the MC. Despite living in a extremely competitive environment, or facing situations of conflict, everyone is willing to answer and/or teach the MC whenever he asks about secrets techniques or information. Moreover demon characters that shoul be absolutely wary of everyone keep trying to rely on the MC after a single glance. Addition to the braindead but on a different note:
    Spoiler

while being a low-ranked newbie in the first high magic world, the high-rank demon even asks his opinion in way as if the high-rank was a completely dumbass with no experience at all. Following instead the logic of the world described till this point, and that will remain the same later, there is absolutely no possible way in which it could have happened.

    [collapse]
  • Saying that the growth of the MC is supersonic is an understatement, in two years it reaches the point that would take possibily a thousand years. Of course an MC has some plot benefits and is faster than others, but the way in which it is delivered is completely unsatisfactory: the ease with which the MC reaches and surpasses the bottlenecks in contrast with the continuos struggle of other demons, subverts that little of worldbuilding nailing the coffer of inconsistency.

This series had a vast number of copyright infringement questions, which leave me wondering whether it is legal to pay for what is essentially a world-hopping fan fiction of a number of movies, game series, and other franchises. Since the chapters have to be paid before starting at chapter 40, it doesn't feel like a legal enterprise, and Webnovel is infamous for unethical behavior. If there were no charge, then there wouldn't be any legal questions, but just how much of the proceeds are the creators of the series this... more>> large fan fiction is based on getting? This series was too uncomfortable to continue.

Aside from that, this series takes a slightly refreshing role of having demon characters based on Christianity rather than the more playful Asian demons. HOWEVER, the beginning of the series is virtually identical to The Devil's Evolution Catalogue. Once it's done copying that series, it focuses on the MC being so OP with his "golden finger" that any hope for tension to develop in the story or for there to be any use of strategy over brute strength are completely blown away. After that, it's a fan fiction into the Van Helsing movie.

Even the MC's cheat is only used to create items from games and other series that already exist. As an "artist, " he doesn't have a lick of creativity at all. Rather than an artist, he's only like someone who can sketch a few things when he needs to. He doesn't spend time working on his skills or anything.

If you are not familiar with the series referenced and used here, you will have to look them up because the writer rarely provides any description about them.

By the way, there is no character depth. Character development is minimal and irregular. Side characters have even less depth than the MC. Everything from the action scenes to the planning scenes to the scenes with deception are written quite weakly.

The pacing is fast, but it skips over a lot of things and more dramatic moments. <<less

Great MC, good translation quality, good system, excellent world building.

Totally worth the read.

The author has fused all the worlds with demons and angels. With abyss and heaven being the main stronghold of them respectively. The many fictional worlds are different dimensions. Angels and demons fight million years long war in every dimension. They don't always fight but yeah, they are enemies.

... more>> They always fight on the different battlefield for souls.

MC is born as a demon in abyss. The demons have a rough upbringing. They have their own society but its more demonic. Demons can increase their power with the soul of sentient creatures.

MC remains a demon. He is not 'reformed' in the future.

The world building in the novel is very well done. MC is intelligent and other characters are intelligent too.

It brings an intelligent feel to summoning demons <<less

The problem with systems that can literally do anything/create everything imaginable is that one is limited by the author's creativity and sometimes that can be good, however, that is not the case with this novel.

There is no pleasing the reader here because everyone is going to think that their own ideas would make the strongest MC (its why we have youtube videos arguing about who would win in Superman vs. Goku). Its the author's job to make us believe that what he has written for MC is the best choice... more>> or at least create a world where that choice makes sense or a world where choices are limited, but it wasn't done well.

I guarantee if you look at the comments or when you finish reading a chapter, you're going to be thinking "Why didn't the MC do ___" or "that was a s*upid choice, I would've done ___." Nothing else matters in this novel because everyone is thinking about what MC should have done instead of what he actually did.

Not only are we limited by the author's creativity, we are also thrown into the infinity genre where one can be thrown into any world, movies, animes, etc. (The first arc here is the Van Helsing movie). I enjoy the infinity genre but it just doesn't work well with this novel because typically you would have an MC enter with a strict set of rules and powers limiting them and watch them struggle to survive in an already created world.

It's like bringing a gun into a Naruto world, thinking it would be cool, but instead makes it look like a cringey fan fiction. If the author created his own worlds and had MC travel to them, then he could create a reason why a gun would make sense or at least fit in that world.

Overall, what could be a great novel is ruined by the system that can do anything imaginable and the ability to go to any world/universe imaginable with no rules anywhere. <<less

Can't say how good it is, but it was quite enjoyable for the most part. Selfish, cold and pragmatic MC that adapts to new situations.

I'm seriously tired of the type of MC that saves the world and always thinks of others, so I'm glad to see that this isn't the case here.

It's interesting. The MC is a reincarnated human that's been born in a demons body. He was granted a system that allows him to exchange for literally anything so long as he possesses enough souls as currency, there aren't any system restrictions or missions and what not.

The world setting mostly takes place within a multitude of worlds mostly including famous fantasy worlds from novels, games, and movies. In the beginning though, the MC is within the 'top' layer of hell or the Abyss as they call it.

The plot mainly consists... more>> of the MC gaining souls to increase his strength and becoming a powerful existence, so in other words he doesn't really have any specific goals. He's generally just acting like a demon most of the time by killing others for their souls and setting people up in order to gain windfalls. In this regard you can consider it similar to a cultivation novel where the MC uses souls/killing to increase his power with the aid of a system.

The negatives would have to be that the MC, despite being an normal artist, very quickly threw away his humanity and embraced his demon identity very quickly. As in not caring about killing humans and other intelligent life despite never having done so before. His system is also capable of transforming his body, but he didn't even think about giving himself a human form despite it being one he should be most comfortable with. Not saying he should just forsake his demon appearance but it's well within his means to gain a transfiguration spell.
Spoiler

In fact, he stole Majin Buu's transfiguration beam so he can make others turn into candy, cola, cookies, etc.

[collapse]

Another would be that his dog's name is Fat Tiger. The names in the novel are generally English, MC's name included (Roy btw), but he named his pet Fat Tiger. It's really displeasing to the eye since it stands out so much from all the other names.

There are also things like the parody worlds he visits and the logic included within the powers he assimilated through the system.

The way he doesn't use his system is another point of annoyance. His system can literally do anything and everything so long as he can imagine it and possess enough souls to realize it. With this, there should also be an unlimited amount of ways to use it to it's full potential, but he doesn't.

There were times where he reached a bottleneck in his strength, like when he reached the limits for a low-level demon. He should have just made an elixir to purify his strongest blood line and added that it would have no harmful effects to his body and soul. The fact he didn't even consider doing that pissed me off, even if the author then said it would cost too many souls he should have at least been able to think about this kind of thing.

He also doesn't experiment with his system enough, if his system is able to create information that he previously did not know. Such as, how to advance into a Demon King? If he drew a book and added a that it contained a complete guide on how to become a Demon King, wouldn't his progress be much faster than stumbling about? It's the fact he hasn't even attempted to try these things that makes me upset, not that he just can't.

Overall, it's interesting and it's nice for those who like seeing non-human MCs. Don't expect it to be too profound or have exceedingly developed characters. Just treat it like a hack and slash adventure with the occasional scheming. <<less

3.6-4/5

It got its moments, loved how they mix the world's views together

MC also properly have his omniscient properly used (not saying the genre of all knowing MC is bad, but it is done well here)

The largest war was over dragged, and lost interest there but MC is getting strong too fast

It was interesting in the largest war arc but his abilities are not properly used afterward

Solid 3.8

Good +. [Eng. Names] I quite enjoy my semi dark fantasy casual read of this novel - BINGE READ -. Although originality isn't in this novel in fact almost everything isn't original (except for the pet dog), I don't really mind that, what manage to hook me into this novel is how the author intertwined the fantasied non-original worlds or how he should explain why this worlds exist and of course the fill in plots to solidify the principles of the world.

Recommended to Casual readers that don't mind the unoriginality... more>> and only for the plot, if so you'll enjoy it

Critique [Realism]
+MC personality - Stereotype, +Side characters - Static - mainly because of the pre-determined characters from the original characters, tho some characters develop
+Power Scale, Difference and Distribution - Well defined and distributed, Can easily tell the difference in ranks and powers that holder wields
+World Lore - Well for shadowed

The story of a human reborn as a demon in the Abyss.
Here, the author tries another approach as the newly born demon act as if he was just another demon: growing strong, killing and absorbing souls, taking control of a territory, more killing...

His cheat is OP and he can creates anything with it. However, despite being an artist, he doesn't seem to have much imagination and base all his skills on things he has seen in mangas.

Spoiler

The MC is also able to use abyss gate to teleport to worlds based on movies, animes... (van helsing, pirates of the caribbean...)
Once again, it's a bit disappointing that the author is sucking other people imagination instead of coming up with his own worlds. Seeing original characters becoming a caricature is painful for the eyes (poor Jack Sparrow and Calypso).

[collapse]

Other than that, the novel is interesting. A bit convoluted since the author has a detailed style and spend a long time describing the background and the MC thoughts. It makes the pace slow and stop the immersion. Not pleasing to everyone but it's decent.

My main issue with the novel though, is the MC's personality.
He was a human with an artistic career, yet, as soon as he arrived in the Abyss and was reborn as a demon, despite having intact human memories and no inherited demon memory, he still acted as if he was just a random demon.
He didn't try to change the Abyss or communicate with other demons. He killed and absorbed souls without any emotional burden.

Spoiler

Even when given the chance to travel to fantasy worlds he saw in movies and animes, he did not take advantage of it. Hell, he even avoided going there and instead chose to stay in the Abyss to grind and cultivate.
He even deduced a method to check whether the world summoning demons was a high or low fantasy world, he could have changed his appearance to blend in the human society and chat with people, enjoy the human culture or just create a scam to obtain millions of souls without doing much.

[collapse]
But he did not. He had human memory but it seemed to do nothing to him. Even demons are more proactive than him. That's a big character flaw, he's passive. He waits for things to come to him.

In conclusion: the author style is more inclined to background description. Plot, pace and characters suffer from it.

Very mediocre story, basically the mother of all asspulls. Any power levels and strengths are at complete whimsy of the author and he uses them to slowly and safely work towards end of the book. In the context where this is used (MC being able to do anything/everything thus being almost omnipotent) its just a drag honestly

Maybe 2 stars is too harsh, 2, 5 should be more accurate. It's still readable, just don't expect anything from it. No emotion.

My main issue with this novel is the system. When first described it sounds godly. Then, it's constantly underplayed and turned inconsistent with what it can and can't do, just because of the author's mental limitation.

Just one example of how the author ruins it: At one point in the story, the MC has three plans to improve himself. Starting with the seconds he selects to create a devil fruit and decides that the dark dark fruit is best for him since it can absorb most type of damage at the... more>> cost of extra pain. A short while later the MC fights, downplay the dark dark fruit and after the fights decides on creating two types of skills that consumes his magic points. One skill is flash to a spot you can see the other is teleportation to something you can connect with. Now, unlike the dark dark fruit, those skill can not be used repeatedly, since they consume magic. My problem here is if instead the author would've made the MC consume the rumble rumble fruit (enel's), he would've become a logia with extremely high damage and speed. Even if the dark dark fruit suggested other benefits, the MC could have gained them for cheaper than the two magic skills and with less of a drawback, a much better option than the author had him make. <<less

The story is about a human who is reborn as a demon. The MC has a system that can create anything he wants by consuming souls. He can modify his body, create skills, create a weapon, etc. The demons can be summoned to worlds from movies, anime, games, etc.

Spoiler

Although he doesn't exploit his knowledge, he still use it to some degree. For example, when he went to Darksiders World, he knew that a horseman will descend, as such he ran away from that place and managed to survive.

It's quite interesting to read, at least for now. I give it 6.5/10. <<less

Really interesting novel. I love world hopping and I question some people who give low rating just because of this. There's an entire market in China around fanfiction novels, and this one is amazing.

so far the story is alright not great just alright there no major highs or lows

Spoiler

main problem is is the world hopping. Parody is either a mistake for the story settings or author has not written it properly. For example the Van Helsing this arc was simply boring and anti-climatic even though the arch angel Gabriel showed up

I can't help but shake my head everytime I read this novel. How disappointed really 😔 it starts really good but when it comes to the part where our MC goes to the Hellsing something or does it start with van...I mean why didn't the author create his own world with different set of rules, what is wrong with exclamation mark on every sentence make think everyone shout on this novel when they are talking and lastly there is no character development really...😔 I had higher expectation "sight" but I... more>> will keep on reading <<less

Well it's a mediocre popcorn read.

The most interesting part of the story is the premise of visiting different worlds and how the Abyss and demon lifestyle works.

I don't really like the system cause the author doesn't use it well enough but the powers of the system is different from the cliche and actually ties up with MC's previous life job so that's new.

I also hate that system makes it too easy for MC to get strong

Overall 2.3 stars

Relatively.... decent fanfic/crossover/multi-dimension type novel

Obviously it glosses over the finer details about the realms and it does take some background knowledge of the different worlds to understand the plot but all in all quite a decent effort to link the dimensions together.

Does fall a little flat in terms of story progression as the protagonist seemingly tends to 'forget' his frankly almighty power until the plot demands it... as of the current arc he not only had control over a world fragment but definitely the opportunity to harvest millions of souls... more>> which would have enabled him to do some OP power scaling but seems to just want to fight?

Also author has disappeared on us. Raws stop at Ch489 and in a very meh state.
Hopefully there's at least an update if the novel is going to be dropped or something (anyone who knows do tell) <<less
