I was not satisfied with the ending but the ending was realistic. Not everyone will have a happy ending. There are lots of people in the world does not end up with their first love. If there is a word that can fully describe this short story, that would be "nostalgia".

Do you know the feeling of being no longer closed to your old good friends due to the passage of time? This story give that sort off feeling.

What used to be happy and sad times are now mere nothingness beyond perhaps a remembrance how it used to be.

TBH, their story isn't really sad as it shows us both leads already contented and moved on from the past to the point of forgetting. It's just that their relationship is pitiful to have tragically end like that.

This story shows another angle of love, the one that isn't much covered by stories due to passage of time being a hard element to implement. <<less
