For me, this is the best novel I've read. His power is to summon strong being while he himself is weak asf. Those beings that he summon are not allowing him to join the fight in order to avoid him being injured lol. Once they sense a strong hostility from their surroundings or killing intent that targeted their master or the MC. They immediately unaliving them. Which is good for me.

It doesn't have any romance nor harem as far as I've read.

Those summon being are begging the MC just to... more>> stand in the back while they do that work for him. They even cry just to stop him joining to fight the monster lmao. And then there's a cute little hamster who's my heart fluttered every time it appears.

Anyways I recommend reading it to guys. Hopefully they will upload more chapter of this since I only MTLed the novel. I only read it raw but I can't get through to the pay wall damn.

The downside is that the author is kinda patriotic. <<less

It's decent. As another reviewer said, the patriotism is through the roof in uncomfortable levels at times. Theres also moments where the MC focuses heavily on being an "alpha male." Depending on the type of person you are, those words will make you uncomfortable, it reminded me the MC truly is just a loser. This story is decent, easily binge-able, and can be fun at times. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could

One of the best novels I've read thus far, it's so good that it's the first time I actually spent money to pay for the premium chapters. I'll try to keep most of the review spoiler free: basically the story's broken down into 2 parts. The first part being the "main story" and the second part being the "side stories". Although the second part is called "side stories", I honestly think that it's so good that it's more like a sequel to the "main story" than a side story (more... more>> elaboration on this later). I'll address the "side stories" as "second part" going forward.

But anyway a quick synopsis of the main story: the novel revolves around a cautious and clever protagonist that works his way up a tower. He relies on the help of his summon beings to progress through the tower and overcome difficulties. The novel has action and slice of life elements mixed in quite well. The plot doesn't have harem or romance as of where I've read until (though there's a little bit more mention of it in the second part, but it's pretty negligible).

Major plus points of this story: 1. the author doesn't drag the story on much; as in the plot progresses quite smoothly and at a pace which feels "well paced". It's not like some other novels where it just recycles plot points again and again. 2. other than my first point, I think the characters of the novel are really likeable, especially Rajiks (small beastkin that reminds me of Chopper from One Piece). There's also a few other main casts other than the protagonist that have interesting and compelling backstories. The character growth and dynamics are also pretty comical and fun to read, I had quite a few laughs through the series.

Some possible turn-offs or gripes: similar to many other readers, yes I do agree that the "nationalism" aspect is present in novel, but I don't think it's as present as some readers allude to. The main plot isn't affected much, and it's more of a sprinkle here and there kind of thing. Other than that, what I think may be a bigger gripe for readers would be that sometimes the "luck" or "fortuitous encounters" of the protagonist sometimes seem too good to be true. As in there is conflict, but the conflict gets easily resolved to the extent that it sometimes feels like there "isn't much at stake". But overall, I think that these 2 points aren't really things that would affect the reading experience much. I'd still give this novel a 10/10 overall.

Now, onto part 2, from here on out there'll be SPOILERS. So please be warned.

....

So basically part 2 is what happens after the protagonist clears the tower, and has a "final battle". It explores the MC travelling across various worlds to help solve problems and "enjoy" his time post tower conquest. Honestly I think the second part is more interesting than the first "main story" part. Because it explores many different tropes in various novel settings: such as fusion fantasy, full western fantasy, wuxia and various other concepts. It also explores more deeply into the backstory of some of the summoned beings and what happens to their words after their passing. Honestly this was one of the biggest selling points for me, I really like that the author sort of gave a more "full background" or "closing" for the summon beings as the MC works through the various worlds and solving the problems that happened there. I liked the Rajiks and Veronica arcs, they were pretty interesting. Though I've got to say that there are times where the plot doesn't really turn out the way that you'd think it would: as in it doesn't follow a certain "trope", which caused me to lose a little bit of interest in some of the worlds, but I think the pacing is fast enough that I don't have to skip certain arks.

Anyway, overall 10/10 read for me. Looking forward to more chapters incoming, and honestly hope that the author can continue to this story haha, it's just such a great read. But I do think that the author has been "hinting" a bit to us readers in the later parts where I'm reading at that he wants to end the novel soon? Or so it seems. It's like he's trying to leave hints to get a sensing on what kind of ending his readers want. But anyway, I highly recommend this novel to anyone who likes tower climbing or "weak to strong" kind of novels (somewhat similar to Solo Levelling in that sense). It's also a pretty good casual read if there's nothing else to read. <<less

I divide the novel into three parts. Part 1 is 4/5, part 2 is 3/5, part 3 just gets worse and worse.

Part 1 ... more>>
Spoiler

up to floor 80 of the dungeon. Protagonist helps his country because his country rewards him appropriately. I like the approach to Tower exploration and the summons and their relationships are fun. The Internet threads are s*upid but easy to skip, and any other nationalism or anti japan/china stuff is reasonable enough.

[collapse]

Part 2
Spoiler

Floor 80 of the tower to end of the main story. The main issue is the tone shift from "my summons are amazing" to "earth technology is the best". Fine, but why does it work just as well against demons, angels, and a superior technological race in their own worlds? When almost every problem starts being solved by nukes, most of the summons lose most of their story relevance. This even comes after they get a powerup.

This is also a point where nationalism gets dialed up to 1000%. The protagonist just gives all sorts of things to parallel world korea, demands rewards for korea from other countries, makes this world's korea's enemies act ret*rded so he can punish them, etc.

Then too, the immortal world is introduced. Any problem that can't be solved by nukes is solved by immortals. They get addicted to earth entertainment despite supposedly giving up their worldly desires.

Also, for some reason the female summons suddenly want to become a harem for the protagonist (and then this stops and is never mentioned again). Likewise, various characters have their personalities changed from before. Including the protagonist. It feels like a different author took the story over.

Overall it's not really bad, but it feels like a different story.

[collapse]

Part 3
Spoiler

The very end of the main story and side stories. It's a mess of new settings. Most of the stories are just setups for the protagonist and his summons to be underestimated, for natives to make him an enemy, and then he and his summons awe the natives. Often with earth technology. Other times with immortals. It's nice to see the worlds of the different summons but it gets repetitive fast.

[collapse]

I don't regret reading the story, at least, but I regret reading past the end of the main story. <<less

I can read a story about a tr*shy main character no problem, but this kind of hypocritical 'oh I'm so beta/sigma/nice guy/whatever, I'm the one who's on the bottom of society, I'm always being bullied therefore I'm the victim and in the right' piss me off the most.

Spoiler

First thing first, when checking whether or not a summon will obey all his commands MC orders Kosak to remove his pants? Yikes.

Then when barbarian appears, instead of rubbing his two braincells together to come up with a normal name for him, since he cannot remember his own name, MC goes with Meatball? From the Meatshield? How's MC any different from the previous team that used and ab*sed the barbarian like that.

[collapse]

I bet he'd be the type to be a s*aveowner in isekai, thinking 'oh, but at least I'm not a bad s*aveowner, so I've technically saved them from s*avery'.

The only reason his summons like him is because that's the only way for them to see the world.

tldr; MC is tr*sh, but not self-conscious enough to recognize his own tr*shiness. <<less

It's not terrible but the author is super nationalist and seems to overtly hate Japan and China, it derails the story.

As an aside, I find the author's sense of national budget to be kind of funny. He obtains a cheat item that basically allows an easy clear of a level and thereby prevents the destruction of large portions of a country for 6 months based on the setting, and when it comes to trying to rent it out to the US, they are only willing to spend up to $15... more>> million as their highest offer. Does the author know how small an amount that is for a country? The author's idea that a country would risk dying to haggle over pennies is funny to me. <<less

Correct name of this novel should be "No risk conquering of tower", which I do not mean negatively, main theme of this novel is that MC is clearing tower without any risk. He perfectly prepares for any situation and has even more than 2 backup plans, this mainly shows in later half of novel after climbing higher floor. Still this novel isn't without moments that build up tension.

Class of main character is summoner and its basically gatcha where he summons mythicsl heroes who died in other world.

Each hero is well... more>> made character with its own personality and influence on the story their wholesome releationship with MC is that is mainly carrying this novel and progress from blind devotion of summoned hero to genuine respect they build for MC is truly great.

This novel does not have any great plot twists, the main ones happen at the end of story. Its more of chill story you read to relax and entertain yourself with.

If it was anime it would definitely be slice of life/fantasy genre. Yet action and other fantasy elements are still cool.

There is no romance even tho its discussed topic, MC would love to have romantic partner but to him summons are like family and he is too busy to look somewhere else so its more like fun running joke on how he is still single. <<less

The novel is pretty well written, and all the summons have their own unique personalities. The only problem is the entire novel genuinely feels like an pr stunt for Korea. The amount of patriotism is actually insane. It really gets to a point. So ya I do rec it if you want smth to read, but don't expect anything groundbreaking.

Lmao I just read the episode where Gwangma was introduced and my goodness I can't help but agree with him.

The MC called it patriotism but it's not. Its the complete opposite lmao.

The most disgustingly patriotic is the MC, the 3rd contractor and the ludicrous comments being said about their so called top hunter thingy.

... more>> I was so damn disturbed with how they reacted to him neutralising that it disgusted me a bit.

Nonetheless, I personally don't like the MC. The ones carrying this whole story rn are Kosak and Bogang? I'm not sure about their names but those are the ones carrying this whole thing. <<less

This review will be split into two sections: main story and side stories.

MAIN SRORY (★★★★)

I enjoyed the plot, it was quite entertaining and kept me interested from start to finish. That's enough to get 5 stars from me.

... more>> But I don't like the protagonist. A hypocrite man-child. He eventually came to his senses, but it was too late to me. I couldn't relate to him in any way. Thats -1 star.

The summons were way more interesting and entertaining that the protagonist. Long live Dimensional Servant/Bomber/Thief Rajiks!!! Huk! Hoe!! Hoeek!!! That's +1 star.

Yet, the author made the summoning system worthless when the protagonist got access to hundreds of summons. The beauty of the summons were their uniqueness and quirks. Now they became one of the many. Sure, the author maintained the focus on the initial summons, but all the other summons became background, which overall reduced the significance of a summoned being, especially with summons that had overlapping abilities.

I understand that numbers were necessary at the end, but it could've been approached differently. He had the alchemist, mage, engineer and scientist. The author praised them as geniuses, yet they couldn't create something better than the archangel. Poor imagination here. That's -1 star.

The story presented elements and concepts that gave me inspiration on how to implement certain ideas in the story I am working on. Which is appreciated. That's +1 star.

The author keeps repeating information. When changing the P.O.V., the author keep reiterating the same information from the enemy perspective. I get it that it's done to show the impact it has on the enemy, but it is done so many times it becomes tasteless. So much that it starts to feel like word padding. IF it wasn't already intended from the beginning. That's -1 star.

SIDE STORIES (–★)

There's no romance in the main story. Don't get me wrong. The fact that the author didn't introduce romance in the main story was the right decision. If it was introduced, it would've degraded the plot and redirect the focus from the fight against the Black Tower.

However, the side stories are a different case. Now the protagonist had the freedom and time to explore this, but nothing was and the concept ended being treated as a joke. That's -1 star.

Another thing I dislike about the side stories is author's poor imagination in regards to technology. The protagonist ends up in highly technological worlds, heck the base Earth was technically the most advanced one. Yet when it comes to nation planing, the protagonist still uses relative primitive sources of energy. He has a magic engineer (Dr. El) and a genius scientist (Harold) that can develop an even more advanced technology. Yet, they don't. That's -1 star.

The power scaling is broken. It's so broken that I doubt even the author can make sense of it. That's -1 star.

The side stories are all about some sort of conflict. Is that a problem? Not in the general sense. But when you get the same thing over and over, the experience becomes stale. It is not enjoyable anymore. That's -1 star.

The author explores various worlds and themes throught the side stories. Which is a normal approach for a dimensional traveller. However, unlike the main story that kept me interested, the side stories ride on the interest I have developed in the main story. The side stories themselves are not that interesting. You can summarise each side story as "Wow! Bang! Boom! Done." That's -1 star.

The side stories should have never been written in the first place. The current side stories should've been developed as sequels of the main story, each side story with a full development similar to that of the main story. The current side stories have a lot of potential that has been degraded to a passing event that is nothing more than an afterthought. That's -1 star.

If the author wanted to write a side story, it should've been about slice of life or events that have not been added in the main story. An element that would enrich the main story further and make us appreciate it more. <<less

I mean. It's the title. The MC is a wimp, and that's that.

The story is incredibly nationalistic, putting SK in a very high pedestal in the story. If you don't like that, don't read, considering the fact that China gets slandered a lot. Like a lot lot

It gets interesting in the 70th-80th floors, when some of the summons have their backstories revealed. One of them made me think the author was a little cruel for doing that.. lmao..

The summons constantly bully each other, which is funny, but sometimes the comments... more>> really just seem degrading. Some of the summons lose screentime the farther the chapters go, and it always seems like MC only cares for Rajiks. I know MC cares about the other summons too, but most chapters he's just too focused on the Lil hamster.

I haven't finished the story yet, but the worldbuilding of the tower interests me. It's like reading ORV and TWATF in another font, if you see it. It's known very early on that there's other worlds, since the first summon, Kosak, has overprotective tendencies over not letting another summoner die.

Spoiler

The White Tower especially, that thing in particular really perks up my interest. Like is there anyone else living in the tower? MC is in the 17th floor, so I'm guessing yes. I want to know...

I think its well done.

I will say nationalism through conquest in a fictional setting resounds as hollow, and a failed propaganda approach... but it also sings of a nation that dreams of rising again... with a will to spread that ambition.

I don't disagree with that notion. I respect it sincerely. I just think its a little distorted in how it tries to foster support through suppressing others.

Envy is a poison for ones ego. I don't think that dreaming of superiority is wrong, but I also don't know that I'm revolted... more>> by it either.

I just want to say, that its likely an incentive structure problem for how the author wishes to be compensated... and it offers a bleak picture of the opportunity such writing presents.

I hope, you all have a good time in Korea, and that you start making more Koreans... but I don't know how to address your cultural sentiments, and the decline. Economically, I feel your system kind of went in a weird direction... and I don't know what structures and incentives to support to rectify that. I want your prosperity, and for beautiful Korean people to pop up like rabbits in spring. Good luck for you, from here in the U.S. <<less

The story is very unrealistic. I know this might sound s*upid, because nothing about the concept of towers is realistic, but all the secondary characters and antagonists, are extremely cartoonish

It's a good story to read to feel good, the writing is decent too, but one of the constant themes is how great Korea is... and how lucky they are. And how other countries are evil (Eg, India), or s*upid (China, Japan) and that they're all seething with envy...

I'll tty to finish this one, but it's very tiring...

Honestly fairly decent idea. The MC being a loser wimp reminded me of Tsuna from KHR, so at first I really had fun. But it’s only enjoyable in the beginning because there’s really not much at stake.

As another reviewer mentioned, MC is so lucky + his summons are so OP, so they truly just glide through every puece of conflict like they’re ice skating Olympians. (I dunno why that simile came to mind, prolly cuz Alysa Liu is all over my feed).

Anyway, it got boring down the line since nothing... more>> really happens. He either gets a new summon, gets a reward ticket/rune, or upgrades his team to pass the floors. So while I wouldn’t say it’s a horrible book, I can truly only recommend it to people who want to waste time.

Like seriously, don’t set your expectations too high and just vibe. <<less

Have really enjoyed reading this and am excited to read until the novel ends. The characters are all fun and well written. You get some backstory from a few of them and get to see where they had originally lived. The MC seems a bit of a weak character, but I like his personality and how he acts with his summons. People have complained about the patriotism in the story, but to me that's fine and while it is there a lot, it makes sense to me. South Koreans in... more>> general have a lot of pride for their country. It's also interesting to note that for a lot of the time, Japan and China are evil. Also the main story and side story feels more like part 1 and 2 of the story. Both are good and add to the storyline and both are important to the novel. One thing I don't like though:

Spoiler

They like using a LOT of present-day weapons like nukes, bombs, tanks, and so on. It was fine at first for the main storyline when they used it because it made sense, but then they would use these weapons in the side story. SPOILER, in the side story they start traveling to other dimensions and solving problems, but for some reason those problems always are solved with weapons of mass destruction instead of using their actual abilities. In the side story they have a lot more freedom and are extremely strong so they don't need bombs or tanks anymore, but they keep using them. And some of these dimension don't even have these type of weapons so it makes it confusing. Like, they go to a murim world and start using helicopters and tanks to destroy stuff.

[collapse]

That's my main issue with the story, but other than that it's great. My favorite characters other than the MC would be Rajiks and Kozak too. Lastly, this novel is surprisingly chill. There's almost no tension in the story of "are they going to win", because things kinda just fall in place for them and their plan always works. I'm completely fine with the easy luck the MC has and it makes for a nice easy read. <<less

One of the most satisfying fantasy novels I've ever read.

It shouldn't be, since the MC is overpowered, there's barely any challenge during tower climb, annoying amounts of nationalism and simplistic plot. So why is this great?

Because it has unique, quirky and relatable characters. Whether they were climbing the tower, going out to dinner or just hanguing out, it was fun reading about their interactions.

It's amazing how the author made every one of the summons feel like a real character with unique personalities. And even when the summoned became a little... more>> too numerous, he started doing meta joke about how some were being left behind/ignored.

Spoiler

Or how the most underated of all summons completely breaks the tower balance and difficulty.

RAJIKS, THE ETERNAL NUMBER ONE!

[collapse]

This could also have easly devolved into harem slop, but the author restrained himself, and though there are pretty girls, the female/male ratio is balanced while there is no romance and the main focus is on the plot with ocasional banter between the characters.

I recommend this novel to anyone, and aside from the manhwa already coming out, I hope for an anime adaptation too. <<less
