Others who crossed over to the Cultural Troupe became dancers, but Gu Qian found herself as a canteen worker.

Oh well, work knows no distinction of high or low; though being a cook may not be as dignified as dancing, it’s still a skill.

Coincidentally, Gu Qian was a divine chef before crossing over. With a pot and spatula in hand, she works wonders!

Coarse flour, wild vegetables, bran… she can turn even pickled pancakes into blossoms.

Any awful ingredients in Gu Qian’s hands can be transformed into magical delicacies.

By accident, she rises from a canteen worker to head chef, becoming the revered Chef Gu of the Cultural Troupe whom everyone fawns over and dares not offend!

Just as Gu Qian starts to enjoy her good days, she catches the eye of the renowned young master of the troupe, Jiang Haizhao…

Jiang Haizhao, just graduated from university, is the most handsome and eligible bachelor in the troupe. Unfortunately, he unknowingly provoked the newly promoted fiery little chef, who only gave him a piece of chicken… bu*t for lunch.

How could a young master endure such humiliation? He grits his teeth and pulls her into a secluded corner.

“What did I do to provoke you?”

The little chef looks confused: “N-nothing…”

“Nothing? Then why did you give me a piece of chicken butt?”

“…”

Do you believe me if I say it wasn’t intentional?

***

Because of a piece of chicken butt, Gu Qian falls into Jiang Haizhao’s trap.

He threatens her, demanding that she must cook special dishes for him every meal from now on, or else…

“Or else what?”

Jiang Haizhao raises an eyebrow, his smile devilish: “Or else… I’ll stew you.”

“…”
