danmei books i think are worth reading ＠＾▽＾＠ may include some books i read only the chinese raws of (novels i translate are marked with a *)

my favorite genre is xianxia. i am #1 angst fan but i also like cute fluff. have a soft spot for anything survival/apocalyptic/horror-ish. even better if it's scary AND cute. say no to toxic relationships and yes to character development! i also am a huge fan of slow burn (or just...slow romance...) and i tend to prioritize plot and characters > romance so i might rec novels for the plot and not the actual...danmei portion...(ofc healthy relationships are ALWAYS a priority)

this is mostly in order of overall quality (in my opinion) of each book. of course my personal biases and attachment to each novel differ greatly and that influences my ranking, like all subjective lists in this world. nevertheless, i think all the books in this list are worth a read.
