Enjoyable novel despite the rating. It isnt really a deep novel so it falls more towards the brainrot variety, but it is definitely something you can use to pass the time for a while.

Let's start with the possitives. This novel takes a really creative approach to the horror genre. Its basically a mix mash of the rich to richer subgenre of investing early in known stuff that'll rise (reincarnator) and becoming a mega corporation. As for horror– well like most "horror" novels on nu, its more of just horror elements,... more>> but basically think of KR modern-dungeon novels with gates/dungeon outbreaks. That's what the horror is, except random horror things take over things in the real world. Such as a school becoming a haunted school.

Another unique thing about the novel was all the horror beings are essentially just humans but from a deathly world. Its bother possitive and good though, as Ill get to it later but the novels a mess. But basically its just humans that kill real humans but other than that they function like a normal society does. MC has money, so money makes the world go round.

Humans are randomly forced into missions they get assigned by blood letter which they must complete, or they'll die. Each scenario has its own rulesets that are explained, which survivors must analyze how to survive from as the ghosts are strictly entied to those rules. But an unlucky fellow can also just run across wandering ghosts which becomes more prominent as time progresses as the 2 worlds merge more.

As for the reason on the rating of 2... as I said, the novels a fkn mess, still enjoyable though which I gotta stress. Many big problems so Ill try to speedrun some big points.

  • Ever read those KR novels where everything revolves around Korea like the whole world is an afterthought? Welp this is that type of novel. Except worse– unlike a whole country, this novel is confined to one city. One Chinese city that isnt even the capital. World's best reatraunt, world's best school, world's best item, et cetera is all in this one city.
  • Author glazes the MC too much, but the problem is he cant glaze him, so it comes off as really annoyingly obnoxious and endless filler segments, once this was so bad he went to explain for one and a half chapters about how he analyzed the rules to survive... In general too the MC just feels very fake and unlikable. The MC is also very apathetic, so there's no relationships with other humans when he has the complete capability to do so unlike most apocalypse mcs. He's also written as a very smart guy but he never feels smart and makes you even doubt how he was such a hopeless Joe in his first life
  • Antagonists and praise are all the same type. The praise parts are especially annoying for this novel. Very overxagerated rotten braincells type worthy of a brainrot read
  • Endless endless ENDLESS amount of plot holes, setting holes, intelligence holes, world holes. One of the biggest of all being any of the supernatural beings could easily just kill him and steall all his money, as they are after all thousands-millions of times stronger than him, though he is quickly catching up. He literally flaunts his wealth so much too. And the author only belatedly notice a super obvious hole of his storage ring being easily visible and stealable, so he makes it invisible 60chaps down the line. Buddy, its too late for that, just make better plot armor saying its soup bound— duh?

I could still suggest reading the novel if you like investment type stories of growth, rich to richer, and horror elements.

I dont suggest reading if unlikable MC make it hit or break for you, care too much about plot, and cant pass off the countless void holes

Might as well be a slice of life at this point, though its anything but with random no name humans dying left and right occasionally as the MC doesn't give a fk and continues his day <<less
