Dong Beibei’s life took a sudden, surreal turn when she found herself trapped inside the pages of a generic romance novel titled The CEO’s Endless Love. To make matters worse, she didn’t wake up as the beloved heroine; she became the story’s primary antagonist.

In the original plot, “Dong Beibei” is the female lead’s older sister: a woman who spends her life orchestrating her own downfall through endless schemes, eventually spiraling into addiction and meeting a tragic end beneath the ocean waves.

Now that the real Dong Beibei has taken the reins, her only goal is to stay as far away from the main cast and their drama as possible. But fate and Zhou Xiaoman,  have other plans.

Zhou Xiaoman is the male lead’s cunning, “black-bellied” older sister. Having grown up watching her own mother suffer, she lives by a simple creed: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Her sole mission in life is to make the rest of the Zhou family miserable.

When she crosses paths with the newly reformed and surprisingly broad-minded Dong Beibei, Xiaoman is irritated by her easygoing nature. She decides to take Beibei under her wing, intent on teaching her a cruel lesson: that “generosity” only leads to a miserable end.

In the end, however, it’s Zhou Xiaoman who pays the price. Without even realizing it, she loses her heart to the very woman she intended to break, and there’s no getting it back.
