Blue Star Player No. 2333, He Yu, is a frail young man with pale skin, and a slender figure covered in a sense of fragility. When he stumbled into the most grandiose top-tier talent show in the universe held once every ten years, he looked lost and bewildered.

The audience burst into laughter: “Did he get lost and end up here by mistake?”

In this competition, combat power is the judging criterion, and those with a power level below 100 are collectively referred to as “weaklings”. He Yu’s combat power is only 2. Even the little children in the universe’s kindergarten can score 20 points on the test which shows how weak He Yu’s score is.

The audience asserted that He Yu wouldn’t survive the first day. They claimed that he, like the other Blue Star players, would only be cruelly killed in this deadly game.

They waited and waited, only to see He Yu, who was like a bug in the game, show off with each passing wave.

In the instance of ‘Dawn Training School,’ countless players followed He Yu in, ready to kill him. However, after three hours, He Yu became an unkillable NPC teacher.

He Yu: Surprised? Unexpected? Aren’t you amazed?

In the instance “Who is Undercover,” the contestants this time were not planning to kill He Yu. They joined forces under He Yu’s leadership and made it to the final level, just one step away from winning the game only to be betrayed by He Yu at the last moment.

He Yu then revealed himself as the undercover agent and said, “I’ve exposed myself, you’re all done for.”

In the instance “Nationwide Love” …

One after another, the plot twists and turns, and until the very last moment, no one knows what kind of reversal He Yu, who has 180 tricks up his sleeve, will bring!

He may be sickly and weak, but he is invincible!

The audience exclaimed, “He God, please stop and analyse it for us. What have you done this time?!”

CP: The heartbroken and charismatic bking shou who is loved by thousands & the big boss attack who only listens to orders from He Yu.

299 chapters total, good story, mtl is decent in understanding. If you like unlimited flow, op protagonists, and ambiguous relationships, read read read!!!

i actually read this long ago and saw that it had no reviews, and I like reviewing stories with no reviews, so here I am to promote this great interesting awe striking story. All if not most of the mentioned characters have relevance at one point, there are some who stick out more than others, but thats to be expected.

the MC he yu is very cool headed and... more>> strong, I believe he's a transmigrated, and he finds himself sent to a kill draft as fodder for stronger players (but he is definitely the strongest player). He's very cunning and acts decisively to win the rounds he's in, even if they arent 100% sure choices, his gambling skills are definitely top notch. He likes money and uses people to their max, he's very resourceful and an MC you probably won't get mad at if you admire those traits.

the side characters are very funny as well, they are extremely prominent to the story, each one having a relation with the MC in some way. There are clear and intertwined enemies, friends, frenemies within the story, and each one is extremely interesting to read. I believe the pov switches to the side character focus sometimes as well, so you get to see their thoughts pretty clearly. Their entire dynamic with eachother and the MC is very entertaining all in all, you won't be bored with these such characters and their new schemes everyday. Ofc some are more prominent than others as I said, but no matter how little or much they appear, one will definitely sneak into your heart with their individuality!! Story wise, the side characters all hate the MC at first and then warm up to him (even if its not shown) and recognize him. Most of them have at least a sort of ambiguous relationship and you might find yourself wanting MC to be with a certain side character, but our ML is certainly there.

ML spoils

Spoiler

the ML is an 'npc' in the worlds and does not appear until later in the story, but don't worry, mtl for a little and youll find him. He is the blue eyed npc taking forms of different people or animals to accompany and or assist the MC.

[collapse]

anyways, this is not a romance focused story but there is definitely some romantic stuff in there. It is a well paced, well written, and well deserved to have your focus novel (in my opinion). I wouldntve read up til ch 163 if it wasnt. Why didn't I continue though? I probably accidentally closed the tab and forgot to revisit. But really this story is extremely interesting, and with the different flow of each copy and seeing how the MC and the side characters deal with it, you won't be bored. Give it a try! <<less

Why is it that all the novels I'm currently interested in have only two reviews- which are completely polar to one another? This comment section can be best described as 'two types of people'.

Small edit: I'm on chapter 2 and all I have to say is.. Author-san really needs to work on their math. If there are 10, 000, 000 participants and only 1, 000, 000 can pass the preliminary test then the survival rate/chance is 10% not 0.000001% as stated by the author. ("As for the 99.999999% probability of... more>> dying in the selection process? He wasn't afraid at all. He feared being forgotten by others more than death."). I would like to believe the author meant that the overall survival rate is only 0.000001% as only 1 individual will be selected in the final test but that number is also incorrect. The real survival chance would be 1.0000001% therefore the death rate would have to be 100%- 1.0000001% which is 98.9999999%.

I'm quoting this line now; "One is a special forces soldier, one is a boxing champion, and the other is a serial killer, all of whom are people they are more optimistic about."

Small edit 2: I'm getting major 'The Hunger Games' vibes from this novel. I'm now on chapter 2 and I'm NOT regretting it.

Small edit 3: I'm on chapter 5 and it still seems like a decent (keyword; decent) read. I might actually invest my time on this novel. <<less

Finished the first arc and dropped.

1. There's constant brainless faceslapping and a barrage that either praises MC to the sky or hates on him non-stop.

2. MC is so overpowered despite having a combat rating of 2, he can survive flopping around on a giant fish for hours, he can magically control the fish using a knife in its brain, and he gets one of the three most important items in the survival game in the first arc.

3. MC is supposed to solve his problems by being smart but he's not... more>> smart at all, he just has extreme protagonist halo.

4. There's this weird thing where they belong to a "tr*sh planet", and the beginning of the story revolves around MC's people feeling like victims and everyone else going out of their way to brutally mu*der people from tr*sh planets. It's probably supposed to instigate some nationalists' extreme victim mentality.

Checked and it seems like I read another one of this author's works (not danmei, BG romance) which was similarly nationalist dog whistling. <<less

Just wanted to write a review since there's so little reviews on this novel. Honestly this novel to me was great, though the romance was definitely not the main focus or point lmao but ig its still sweet.

i dont wanna seem like im arguing with the reviewer who dropped it at the first arc, I just really liked this novel even though romance wasnt really that great, and this is all based in my opinion,

1. I agree with u lmao tho according to my memory in the first arc... more>> there wasn't alot of people who was praising MC at all, if anything they wanted MC to die cause of the 4th point u mentioned. Only some started praising MC since he didnt die and survived different situations, starting to "trust" in MC. But I can see why u would dislike it esp since it does have a bunch of faceslapping stuff

2. Imo MC is overpowered for sure in the first arc and its true it kinda weird how hes on the giant fish while the fish fights and he doesnt suffer from it despite having 2 combat points, author gave a reason of MC being a gymnast but I doubt one can do wtv MC was doing. But other than during the fights the fish is having, it makes sense he is able to do so, the fish has a setting of being really dumb, so it legit just did not see MC on its head and the fish doesnt just flop around for hours, after fights the fish doesnt move wildly, if anything id imagine it would be smooth, gliding on the surface of water (which is also explained) , slight spoiler but later on it is also explain why this fish seems to be a little bit different than the other fishes.

MC doesnt magically control the fish with a knife in its head, its more of enraging the fish, forcing it to fight kind of, since the fish is attacked but it cant see MC it thinks that its the other person who attacked it, and would attack the other person instead.

MC does get this divine treasure thingy but honestly (lowkey spoilers) you'll find out at the end that at least 3-4 of MCs teammates also have something that is considered as a divine treasure, so I wouldnt really say it is that important if anything it puts MC in bigger danger tho it also allows MCs gambles to work out most of the time

3. I get why you'd say this cause in the first arc there really isnt much 'thinking', but it is alot more apparent later on in the arcs, in the first arc however MC does seem to have this plot armor thing so I agree with you.

Spoiler

the first few arcs make the readers believe MC is really invincible, since his guessings and gambles always work out but ard half way or towards the end you realise that isnt true, MC is paired up with this guy who is counted as MCs teammate and in this copy/dungeon thing only one of them can survive MC trys to 'fight back' since this copy's setting was whoever earns the most money wins, MC made it so he and the other guy had the exact same amt in the end but that just gave the system reason to kill both of them, giving them 30 sec to earn more than the other person, if no changes are made, both die. This arc hit me cause before this you'd see MC always managing to keep his teammates alive but this arc shows that MC isnt really all mighty, and in the end the other guy dies.

[collapse]

4. Its later explained why tr*sh planets are labelled as tr*sh planets and I do agree with you that the other people from other planets are all really hating on tr*sh planets like MCs planet and some of them in the competition only hunt these tr*sh planet people (the reason is given, it is because the people from these tr*sh planets are usually weak af, like the synopsis states, MC is 2 point but a random kid in kindergarden in the main planets has 20 points, u can see the difference this is also explained later lmao) (for comparison, anything below 100 is weak to them) but I dont feel its instigating nationalists' extreme victim mentality though it does have a similar effect (?) like you'd feel sorry for the people but like I really dont think this has anything to do with nationalist dog whistling, I cant say for the author's previous works since I didnt read em. Imo since the author is chinese they would add their own elements into their own story making themselves the "victim" but if it was nationlist I feel like they would make comparisons of the other planets with irl countries? And in the story it makes sense why they are in this situation, I really wouldnt read so far into it, though one point is later on in the story there is times where MC will use stories or references from blue star (the actual name of the planet MC from, tr*sh planets is jus a label) and that I agree with you does seem like trying to boast irl stories and things. But these are all after the first arc lmao in the first arc MC doesnt really mention much of these things and ig the only thing would be that victim mentality.

Spoiler

another thing I like is that unlike some interstellar novels its not like MC is some genius (well though he is a genius which doesnt make sense seeing his background, it is obvious his brain is growing lmao esp since this competition thing everyone elses combat points will slowly increase but MCs doesnt increase at all, its later revealed that he instead of using the energy from cultivation thing to improve his combat n body he used it to improve his brain becoming mega mind frfr) who discover this cultivating system bs but its later revealed that the robot people have discovered it long time ago but kept hiding it and guarding against this secret since robot people cannot cultivate unlike the rest of the humans, if the secret is out, they are afraid that the humans will get stronger than them, and that their position will return to how it was many yrs ago, as robot servants and such. They have a history where robots used to be without brain yknow uhm own thinking but when they developed it, and told the humans they would like to not be treated this horribly, as u can imagine since robots were used to do the dirty work, the humans just destoryed all the robots capable of own thinking which lead to the robots rebelling. Its understandable and makes sense well at least imo
