This story felt like it lacked of something. I don't know, maybe because there's so many things that didn't make sense and contradictory in it.

  • First of all, about MC's appearance. The crown prince and MC's sister already fell in love with each other long before his engagement with MC. He also often came to MC's house to visit her sister so how come the crown prince was unaware of MC's original appearance before their engagement? Because it's mentioned that MC changed her appearance since her engagement with the crown prince so before that, she should be still so beautiful, no?
  • At one time, MC mentioned that she purposely changed her appearance to avoid the crown prince but at another time, her sister mentioned that she instigated her maids to slowly change MC's appearance because MC's beauty made her feel inferior since a long time ago. It's contrary to MC's statement in the first point. If what MC's sister said was true then what made MC let her sister do that to her? Because at that time, MC wasn't engaged to the crown prince and hadn't meet ML yet so why she let her sister ruined her life?
  • ML told MC to attend the crown prince's engagement party and he would be her escort. But then somehow, the engagement party became a condemnation party where the king decided to abolish the crown prince and make ML the next king. Also, the king betrothed MC to ML without telling anything beforehand to MC. MC should be clueless about it but there's no reaction from her at all in the party..
  • MC thought herself as a villainess because she purposely let her reputation ruined to avoid the crown prince but from what I saw, she was simply s*upid and pushover. If she was smart, she would find another way to avoid the crown prince without tarnishing her reputation because how could she rule the country in the future (now that she became a future queen again) if she had a bad reputation?

The story is about our MC that's engaged with the beauty-chasing crown prince that's sadly in love with her older sister, who should have been his fiance if not for her sickness. Fortunately, she likes someone else and was willing to be in bad position for him.

In the end we get to know that:

MC had been allowing her sister to make her look ugly and have bad reputation so that the crown prince would not fall for her and she could thus be with the man she truly love.
