This novel totally broke me. I was a mess after reading this. I would have never in a billion years thought that I would cry over mosquitoes as they are at the top of the list of my most hated creatures. The novel may be one shot but it's quite long and broken into sections which makes us easy to read. The translator did a good job. We have to thank him/her for bringing this to us.

I am surprised that this novel didn't get the amount of readers it deserves.... more>> I guess people tend to turn away when you learn this novel includes mosquitoes. So if you are checking reviews to decide whether you should dive into the story or not, I will say it'll be worth it. I actually kinda learn about the mosquitoes' molting process which I don't need but knowledge is power anyway.

So in conclusion, sorry I'm not much of a reviewer, this novel is a hidden gem. Please do not flinch just because it's a mosquito BL. Give this a try. You won't regret it. <<less

The story was like a fable or maybe it is a fable. And I really liked the lesson of the story at the end.

This was only a few short chapters. Combining it all was equivalent to your one regular chapter or maybe even less than that. I certainly didn't expect that I would shed some tears over two mosquitoes even though I already knew the outcome, *side eyes Tragedy tag* QAQ.

Never in my life have I ever thought...

That I'd one day see mosquito larvae and instead of feeling disgust...

I sh*t you not, when I say I CRIED.

For mosquito larvae.

Because of two mfing fictional mosquitos.

Like, gdamn the more I think of these two mfing mosquitos I get sadder.

Mosquito: *sucks blood*

Also me: Go on, do it some more.

Edit 12/30/21: I accidentally killed a mosquito today.... I feel so bad and sad 😞

Actually finished reading this months ago but decided to write a review now.

Anyway, I love this story very much. The pain that this story gave me is satisfying. After reading this, I literally stopped killing mosquitoes for 2 days.

This story was so beautiful. The final lines especially made me want to cry. Why can't they have a happy ending just because they're both male? They didn't even get 20 days.

To everyone talking about killing mosquitoes and disease transmission, I would like to remind you that only female mosquitoes bite and only right before they go to lay eggs. Male mosquitoes only consume nectar like butterflies and bees.

I finished "Brothers" and then continued on the translator's site to find something lighthearted, so I came to this. It was lighthearted until I started crying again out of nowhere lol. It's cute and sad, somehow...

😭😭😭 Mik Monster🦟 + Watermelon🦟 = ♥ ℒ♡ⓥℯ ♥

It was a beautiful tragic story!!!! Dang, never thought I'd cry about mosquitoes.

I love Milk Monster, he's so sweet and naive, while Watermelon although he would say awful things to Milk Monster, he loves him so much. Ahhhhh author, please let them reincarnate/transmigrate into humans and have their happy ending. ‧º· (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥) ‧º·˚ Anyway, it's a very nice story although with tragic ending, in the end they were still together until their last breath, hugging each other wrapped in amber and went... more>> into eternal slumber. <<less

Great novel, short read. Bring tissue paper, cause I reckon you are gonna cry alot. I just finished this and felt very sad. This is the prospective of two mosquitoes, one follows his dreams while the other follows him. I just wish that they will be reincarnated, to be each-other lovers again.

5.0/5*- RECOMMEND - Such touching 'slice of days' story.... Prepare a tissue

I had no idea what to expect as I didn't read reviews. Total reading took me 30 min.

It starts very silly. Two male mosquitos hatching and becoming friends. One is dumb, but sunny. The other is smart, c*cky and a cynic.

... more>> Writing style is messy as it reads like rambling of dialogues, but you will get used to it.

After 1/4 of the story I started to understand and feel the cuteness of the story. It really is very cute and tragic as well. I actually shed a tear in the end. These 2 small mosquitos will grow on you like the bittersweet story of a couple growing old together.

Spoiler

Such story should have the tragedy tag... Though they could not fully comprehend the concept of love like humans do, they obviously really loved eachother for the very short 20 days of their lifespan. The smart one took care of the dumb, weak, premature yet super sunny mosquito. And even carrying him around when he lost his limbs and wings. And even carrying the corpse when one day the other didn't wake up. In the end they are both dead. Gosh... Writing this makes me cry again...

Okay, mosquitos! Hear me out. If y'all didn't try to eat me alive while Im having a picnic, then we wouldn't have a problem. I only mess with the mosquitos that mess with me! Y'all carry diseases and drink my blood, I got to defend myself. For your sake, I suggest that you don't go near me! Got a deal?

Humor and Tragedy with a very pleasant and cute story but a poignant ending.

I never knew I'd regret killing all the mosquitoes I did until now...

It's very short so if you are contemplating on reading this, just go ahead and do it.

I started reading this novel as a meme but ended up crying

I liked the message it has and how it was conveyed in such a simple and predictable story, but still gets on your feelings

Watermelon and Milk monster, you poor mosquitoes, deserved better ;;-;;

Ps: you should still be careful from mosquitoes since they're vectors of some viruses and can cause infections!!

I have never been so emotionally distraught. I swear on my life that I will never harm a male mosquito ever again (only females since I'm mosqygonistic).

Watermelon and milk monster, I hope you get reincarnated and get the chance to love again.

I thought I would be one of those people who wouldn't cry, as if I was going to cry in just 2 chapters! And it is in the face that it ends in tragedy! I went there and came back, conclusion: I should shut up instead of saying things I don't know how to do, my red eyes are proof!
