typical novel where MC get isekai-ed get special power of online store, try to stay low and live a slow life, and getting harem.

this novel include selective limited technology gap, ex: he can use car, gasoline, electricity, dll, but can't use gun because online store doesn't sell it, but sell crossbow.

what I don't like about this novel is when MC suddenly became very naive borderline *profanity.
bellow is my quick review, it include spoiler.

Spoiler

ch 89 - 90:
MC was summoned by the king, but at the audience he was attacked by the king without reason and almost got his family killed.
(it is later explained that he was attacked for gambling show between nobles, while showing the power of ronin / wanderer).

after successfully repeling the attack, MC threaten to strike back, but the princess tries to make a deal while threatening the life of the MC wife family (while one of MC harem goes in heat wtf) to exonerate MC from the crime of self defence by gifting her something she can brag to other nobles (wtf).
the MC accepted the offer because he didn't want his wife family to be attacked by royalty and didn't want to get into more trouble.

while giving the gifts, for some reason a canyon collapses and blocks the way to the salt producing town causing a crisis in the country, then the princess asked MC to help solve the problem while saying MC is a subject of the kingdom (where not involved in more trouble goes?) and by getting the king bow his head and princess giving puppy eyes, MC naively accepts to solve problems (there is a difference between being kind and being naive).

MC reasons to accept it because MC is afraid that the people of the kingdom will resent him for not solving the crisis, (common sense where are you???, it's natural if MC doesn't want to help the kingdom that almost killed him and his family just for fun.)

and this sentence "見れば国王陛下は人の良さそうな普通のオッサンっぽいし" the person who wanna kill you for fun & gambling is a normal good guy?, don't say it's the nobles who gamble not the king and the king just is the queen puppet, the king approve it so it's the same.

(ch 91)
while the queen trying to flirt with MC & try to kiss him (king is *profanity-genre-ed), she was asked about the knights who were killed in a gambling show, she says it was an honor to die while protecting the royal family, even it was caused by a joke.

(ch 113)
there's another transferred person, just like MC he got into the bad side of royalty, the difference is he successfully ran away by making the emperor collapse, threaten to burn down the castle, and he fled to a border town so that the emperor could not send a large army that could cause war between countries.
well, this transferred person has common sense, because he knows how to use his knowledge and strength when he wants to escape, unlike MC.

(inconsistent stories)
in ch89 MC got letter of letter of apology from the king that says "other noble won't be able to interfere",
but in ch113 when he try to recruit another transferred person, it change into "because I have received a letter of exemption from the king, I can get rid of the nobles".
non-interference become free to kill card?

yeah I love reading isekai slow life novel, but it become frustrating when MC doesn't have common sense, and inconsistent stories.
maybe if it was reincarnation or MC isekai-ed from pre-ww2 era I can accept it,
but this 40-yr old MC that get isekai-ed from modern world lost his mindset and common sense in less than a year (ch 112 says 7 month passed).

[collapse]

other than that, this novel tells about adventure around using selective modern technology and food like the usual isekai novel,

i only read up to the chapter 176 out of 275 so I can't tell about the rest of the novel.

(Warning at the end of review) : "Mail Order Life" is enjoyable if you generally like Isekai stories. Although it somewhat follows an Isekai template, it has its own unique and funny twists. The author's writing style is much better than most other Isekai authors. However, the Japanese main character builds a typical harem which has an unnatural devotion towards him, and the main character doesn't really encounter much resistance and usually gets whatever he wants using his overpowered skill.

Spoiler

The main character, a Japanese man transported to Isekai, discovers that he can order things from a Japanese internet store called Shangri-la, by exchanging Isekai products or gold into credit that he can use to buy almost any modern product, tool, vehicle, or food, except weapons or dangerous goods that are restricted by law in Japan. Using this skill, he becomes a successful merchant, saves important people and gains their favor, goes on adventures, and develops his own territory while accepting refugees.

[collapse]

However, be warned that "Mail Order Life" is based on, and shares the same Isekai world as 2 older novels from the same author. One of these older novels called "Inventor King", was extremely racist and so the second part of it was deleted and no longer available. Only the first part of the novel remains online. In the second part of "Inventor King", the Japanese hero advocates for the extremely racist treatment, torture, or slaughter (or in at least one instance the raping) of Chinese or Koreans, or of Japanese citizens of recent immigrant descent. The author justifies this by writing them into the story as enemies. Although there was no apparent racism in "Mail Order Life", all 3 novels are connected when the Japanese main characters from each novel meet at the very end of "Mail Order Life". The ending scenario of "Mail Order Life" is also probably based on what happens in part 2 of "Inventor King".

Spoiler

I read the author's novel raws using Google Translate from Japanese into English, so my understanding may not be accurate. In the first part of "Inventor King", the Japanese main character is transported to Isekai, becomes a high ranking leader just below the queen in an Isekai nation, supports an orphanage with refugee children from different nations, invites refugees and s*aves of different races to his nation and ideally treats all races equally, and defeats an aggressive empire to save smaller nations. He is like your typical good hero who can inspire you.

However, I was extremely shocked when suddenly in part 2 of "Inventor King" the hero completely transformed into an extreme racist. It was very disturbing to find out that this person became God's representative and guides the main character of "Mail Order Life" at the end of the story.

[collapse]

"Mail Order Life" and part 1 of "Inventor King" are both enjoyable to read if you like Isekai stories. However, if you are disturbed by racism, then do not search for part 2 of "Inventor King", and do not search for the deeper meaning of the ending to "Mail Order Life". <<less

Good story, for a change of mood. The pace of the story is also good. While the characters are also somewhat close to reality. All in all, I like it. Just hope that new chapters keep on coming.

Lastly, I would thank, Author and other party who worked on this novel.

Ofcourse, Translated-san's work is much appreciated.

This review my contain wrong grammar and swrong spelling for word...

But, let's me try first...

As far as I read the story, the plot is nice, I just dislike the MC character.

The MC is typically a man that like a cat where he see fish in front of of him, he will just ate it.

He easily to temped with the girl body, when he look her naked body.

Oee..

And the girl is a cheap girl. She is cunning, but also honest. And she took advantage of it.
