As it is still early, there isn't too much to say, but I have definitely enjoyed what I've read so far, and if it keeps doing what it's doing then I'll leave my review at a 5*.

Things to know: the "heartwarming" tag is there for a reason. This isn't a story about fighting Gods, monsters, or anything crazy like that. There is some bullying, but it's stuff that falls under "day to day" conflict instead of a major one. Not a bad thing, just something to note.

Okay, our MC is... more>> a little dense, but she has a very strong sense of independance and has a desire to do her very best, which makes her all the more likeable when she gets to have cute moments with "Sister Rose, " and makes you cheer for her even more when she is bullied. Very cute character, and while she is dense, at least she seems intelligent so far (no it's not contradictory).

Can't think of anything I've really disliked so far, it's just a simple, fun, heartwarming story. Worst part about it is that there aren't enough chapters translated yet :P

What can you expect from 2 chapters? Basically not much but I still wanted to tell you how freaking cute it is.

Basically, our Charlize a.k.a Lize (currently 5 years old) who would be poisoned to death, like how it was said in the description, because of her blinding beautiful face that caused the emperor to like her. A warning to those who like smart MCs, this probably isn't your cup of tea.

The MC is in the body of child, but her mind is probably at least older than a teenager, yet the way she acts and thinks is no different than an actual 5-year-old. First off, she only knows to cower and endure when faced with the bullying of older maids. Rose used her influence to help her when she complained, but then she decided she wouldn't report the ensued bullying to the head maid because she'd... more>> get annoyed and she wouldn't tell Rose anymore because she fears Rose will think of her as annoying, so just bear it and cry--the reasoning of an actual kid. Also, MC knows Rose has an air of nobility around her, has green eyes and red hair like the empress, is prettier than anyone, is actually named Rose while the empress is supposed to have the nickname of a rose due to her beauty, but can't make the connection between the two. Rose never wore a maid outfit but MC thinks she must be a maid, the story never explains Rose's outfits in detail, but I imagine she must be wearing expensive dresses to meet MC, yet MC is convinced she should be a high-ranking maid... go figure.

So yeah, I'd say if the author made her actually 5-year-old it'd be more believable with her IQ. <<less

Even tho it was a pretty simple story I closed my mind enjoyed their cute relationship but.... FL stayed s*upid like a 5-year-old child through the whole novel. She can't read the signs, can't hear even ML says it himself, only sees negative points and has no self-respect...

... ML turned into an annoying kid. Every sentence of his ends with "!" or "!?"..... Could you calm down, you are the Crown Prince?? He is super short-tempered, gets irritated easily, every emotion comes out right away. Like, boy. You are in the palace. Stop acting like a little child. Have some dignity. The author used the same bullying tactics again and again and AGAIN, even with the same characters. Like how many times do you want us to read this same part?? Especially the lady who keeps calling herself a noble like 98 times... It's just too much.

I was giving 1, 5 stars just because it's readable BUT through the end the writing gets even more childish and unbearable. Clear 1 it is. <<less

I think it's a cute novel with some angst but not enough that it would turn me away from it. I appreciate the dynamic between MC and the empress a lot, and it's my favourite part of this story. The ML isn't unlikeable but the story does not do much to distinguish him from standard MLs.

The story does have some trope-y elements ie. The tragic background of the crown prince (a bit unrealistic), FL being a bit timid and dense etc. But again, it's bearable for me. The front end... more>> of the story shows the FL very timid and childish in manner and that is a bit lacking because the story doesn't strongly set out the limits of the transmigration (she was an adult prior). However, I prefer how she is to a child that is overly "mature" in how they act.

The time skip to adulthood happens in chapter 83.2 <<less

Everything about this is absolutely adorable! I just binged this within a day. The translations is really great, and I'm very thankful for that.

The interactions between the MC and the empress is super cute and lovable!!! I want morreee. But not everything between them is cutesy-fun-times. From the beginning we get to know that MC is a maid, while "sister rose" is the empress. I like how the story explained how the MC felt after finding out sister rose's true identity and what happened after. And we also get to... more>> know why the empress treats her in a very gentle manner, which for me adds to the empress' character. Because of the difference in their status, the actions of the empress always had some effect on ppl around them, which made me feel that their world is believable and not too forced. I really like that the author made the MC aware of the implications of some of the decisions they make, but not to the extreme where she's super smart and knows everything. And because of the sort of weird relationship that they have, it builds up for complex emotions within the story, which I like. So the real highlight of this is the mother-daughter like interactions between the two.

From the beginning we know this isnt really a romance novel. By the cover I was expecting it there to be, but completely forgot it after reading the cute moments between the empress and MC. Which is why I was surprised when I read about the ML about 20-30 chapters in lol. I dont really mind the ml, I find him cute as well especially when he is with the MC, but I find the MC and empress much cuter hehe. I jut dont understand that:

how could a 3yr old survive a palace on his own, where assassins often come to take his life, and poisoned food is always served? He was there for 5 yrs, how tf did he survive? Is it just me or are the 3 yr olds around me just not that advanced yet... Well I guess its also hard to understand how the maids made the MC a maid-in-training since birth, but because she transmigrated I can at least understand how she survived. Idk, just kinda bothered with that, but it aint much really

A beautiful story of a young girl being cute and adorable.

As of now, she is only 5 years old, but her cheerful, caring, and sociable personality make her actions worth reading about.

I can recommend this novel to everyone who needs a fluffy read, a break from tedious reality, or a smile after a hard time.

It's really a lovely story. The empress was so sweet she just wanted to live her life freely without held by her position. They haven't said anything specifically about the emperor but they potray him as a greedy person.

so why is her relationship with the evil empress the title of the story but the evil empress is just a supporting side character? Shouldn't the story be about the mother/daughter relationship between the empress and the MC, y'know, the story's premise and unique characteristic?

It's an extremely generic palace romance novel about a cookie cutter heroine and a prince male lead so cliche he's basically the romantic interest equivalent of mayonnaise.

This story reads to me like the author had a good idea, lacked the skill to achieve the good idea,... more>> and so instead just blindly imitated the hundreds of identical romance novels they'd read previously and forgot all about the good bit. The male lead reads to me like a crutch made out of cliches that exists because the author couldn't figure out how to write a story about the empress. <<less

A shoujo manga equivalent of a novel. Just so you know what writing you are working with:

  • She is someone who died and became 5 and so did her IQ and personality
  • Totally not explained in the beginning (idk and idc about later if they do) how the f*ck she meets or befriends the empress. It's just a fact.
Ok. I mean that's the level of lighthearted mediocre writing we're working with so uh yeah not my thing. Ok bye. Dropped maybe it gets better, but that's your journey not mine.

This is a cute and pretty decent story but there are some part of the story threw me off.

First, the way the FL act is so childish and always crying even tho she is mentally older. I will accept it as the fact she is reincarnated not transmigrated but she admitted it to herself that she is mentally older but doesn't act like one. She never stand up for herself to argue properly to the maids insulting her. I know she is too young but you can have an arguement... more>> with them without physical fight. She can fight back and shout the complains at their faces. Plus the fact she is so damn s*upid sometimes. The prince warned her about the foods. So, basically you should know already why you should not eat it and use some common sense but she never use it coz she is ready to eat the food and the prince saved her s*upid ass from killing herself. Gawd.

Second, she is a 5 years old, so, how the fvck she carried the ladder by herself? And clean the whole hallway and fire place? I know it's a fiction but it's impossible and nonsese for a 5 years old. Third, I don't get the empress why she is so fond of her to the point she is throwing her status as a empress infront of her? I mean they said the reason but it's so simple. They should have give us more a deep reason about it. But anyway, I like the empress that way.

Lastly, the interaction between the prince and the FL is cute but something is off with some of it coz the way the author making it romantic make me feel off. They are just 5 and 8 years old kids but the author turning it into a adults romance scene.

In this story I find the Empress character more lovable than the FL. <<less

If you like heart warming stories then this is your cup of ☕ !

There is absolutely little to zero angst in this story. Although all this story is cute and all, there is some parts I don't like.

First, the emperor is annoying but he is not like the main villain at all. He absolutely does nothing and just comes, causes some problems, and leaves. And his brain is just.... Wow, I have never seen a villain like that. He thinks he could get Charlize from Damian with out even knowing... more>> that they are inseparable all because he is an emperor.

Second, Everyone thinks Charlize is lovable and all. I also like that but I think its too much.

Other than that, this is a pretty decent read. <<less
