As a result, he feasted on meat and fish, living a carefree and comfortable life!

If you can stomach the shadows of the party, and some hateful nationalism that starts popping up, but only during these later chapters, are subtle and made in off-the-cuff remarks - so you can pretend not to see it.

The MC's job and subsequent actions really compliments the cheat/special ability he has, the characters and their perspectives and the growing effects on the surroundings you can observe is satisfying.

I adore the MC's generosity to children and people in need, his tendency to alleviate those suffering from poverty and bad circumstances, and... more>> again how you can see them getting better over time.

Truly satisfying slice of life wish fulfillment. Worth a shot. <<less

First of all, I thought the story would be about the MC running a store and selling things to people. Instead, it’s more about rural life—being filial, with the grandma and grandpa doting on their grandson and all.

There’s really nothing special about it; it’s just pure, mundane daily life. Mostly talking, giving food to kids and family, and that’s about it.

It's a light read, with minimal drama and focus on slice of life wish fulfilment.

At the beginning, it has so much promise, but then, the writing style suddenly changed.

The author seems to forgot previously laid facts and start to info dump and describe unnecessary things.

MC first hunting was described concisely, without too much details. Taking up at most half a chapter. Showing that hunting is merely intermezzo in his life.

Then 20 (ish) chapters after the first hunting, MC goes hunting again, but this time, with so much more details. MC seems to forget or is dumbed down, because MC behaved as if he is hunting for the first time. The tensions are repeatedly mentioned, taking a full chapter.

Then there are the disappearing characters. What happen to the traditional doctor and his apprentice? What about the writer/researcher of the Farming Book? (MC mentioned he wants to meet the writer/researcher and managed to get a lead of their location, but nothing ever comes of it). And the purchasing agent of Laboratory also disappeared, the MC ends up doing everything himself.

The most baffling points for me is the suddenly changed writing style. The author went from simple and direct style to emotional one. I can accept if that's what needed to tell the story better, but most of the emotional descriptions are so pointless.

But hey, this is merely my POV. If you like this story, good for you. <<less

It was... Okayish.

Large info dumps, though informative, disrupts the flow of the story and massive wall of text that the readers have to go through before getting back to the actual plot.

Spoiler

Explaining the history of noodles and such

[collapse]

Accompanied also by a tad too much propaganda and a touch of racism from time to time which also ruins it.

Spoiler

MC getting hyped and hyping China whilst belittling others like saying Japan stole this idea or so whilst also blatantly stealing ideas like japanese instant noodles

[collapse]

Generally also pretty dumb and Mc's cheat is too much.

Spoiler

MC gets a daily 1 yuan flash sale from his cheat mental shop which includes bulk suplly of random stuff from 100 jin of grains to milk powders and the likes. MC is also too casual and carefree, like using his cheat advance knowledge to introduce future stuff early like handpumps but delay reporting it, relying on the plot of the others finding it out and going to him for prolly some ego boosts too.

[collapse]

Only thing good about the read is when the characters were getting along and prospering together.

Spoiler

Families and Children being happy
