When I first started reading this novel I didn't realize the MC would pretend to be an omega for soo long. So I felt anxious reading the first half of the novel. I honestly didn't like knowing that the MC was deceiving the ML. Of course, they were enemies and the MC had his goals and the ML was portrayed as vicious and scheming, so logically I shouldn't have had that feeling. Maybe it was because the author showed the ML being sweet to the omega persona and very worried about his safety, the ML even said that he liked the omega. Later he clarifies that he only likes him and doesn't love him. (Mainly after the reveal). The whole "ML is also scheming" (as to not feel bad for MC deceiving him) wasn't mentioned often. But sometimes the ML would act cruelly towards the omega since he suspected him. Nonetheless, I was less aware of this reality. Overall I was distressed by how long was the omega cover going on for. My feelings probably stemmed from different expectations. I thought they would have more interaction as Marshal and Prince as they fall in love with each other. But their love was already mostly there since they loved each other from childhood. They just had to come to terms with it and some things had to be revealed. I personally love the falling in love process and admitting feelings a lot. So that's why I was not satisfied. But I wouldn't say it was bad. The flashback to their past were very nice. I was just very confused at the beginning about what the ML was thinking and how I should feel about that. Only later does the author straight up tell you how it really is

The confession scene was very nice. I like the "wanting to top each other" trope a lot, because it makes me feel like they desire each other a lot. During the scene there is a problem with the question of who's gonna top, but honestly it felt more like neither of them wanted to be on the bottom. Like they would rather not do anything than decide who's gonna be on the bottom.I understand why the MC wouldn't want to. I kinda wished the ML would be more willing. They later solve this issue but we never see the ML be topped. I have to say that I had a slight naive thought of them switching at least once

Like when the MC started becoming the triple Emperor. Then he merged the titles into being a mega Emperor. Of course, there was a moment where he almost died fighting. So, he isn't really that OP. But usually, you have the feeling like he's the strongest and smartest.

fact of matter is MC deceived ML first. I rlly felt for ML upon accepting that ryan and his love for ML was a lie. ch54 made me tear up bc even if it was against his duties, he still stretched all leeway for ryan to be true to him, but he still had to accept that ryan was only giving him an illusion, an illusion that he was slowly, comfortably starting to accept as his life. I felt bad that it was snatched away from him, even if ML knew that it would happen from the start.

yes, MC felt betrayed that ML cut their friendship off. but they understood that it was their duties holding them back. and now after all their betrayal and now scabbing wounds, MC wants to crush ML /romantically? he's aggrieved that ML "humiliated" him when he's the one who set everything up for ML to do to him? TT
