The MC suffers a lot but he didn't deserve any of those : (. As well as his twin brother! I like his cousin but the author did not specify what happened to him later on.

Pairings:

1. Gu Zhongyi (alpha) x Lin Yunxing (omega)

• No alpha bullsh*t for this pairing. Gu Zhongyi regressed 10 years back when he was 19 and made sure this time to stand up for himself against his as*hole of an excuse father so he could protect himself and make things right with Lin Yunzing, his childhood sweetheart. Lin Yunxing is a very unfortunate soul in the og timeline, bullied, that kind of stubborn flower in the winter cruelly trampled by necessary plot devices despite his bestest effort to counter his fate. Unlike the typified damsel in distress, Lin Yunxing is very strong and firm on his beliefs, but he is not unreasonable. He is described by his twin (more of him later) as "s*upidly kind" but I think this is because when he loves, he'll try to treat his loved ones with the best of his ability.

2. Liang Xi x Su Li

• AO pairing. Su Li is Yunxing's very dear friend and dormmate, he has an online relationship with Liang Xi who does not want to vid call or meet in person. I personally think that they could have had their standalone story, but they got their exposure in the extras.

3. Han Yang x Gu Nuan

• AO pairing. Gu Nuan is Gu Zhongyi's cousin from the main branch, an omega👏heir👏. Gu Zhongyi's bless-his-soul father is super obsessed in snabbing the control from the main branch, since he deems that Gu Nuan, as an omega successor is very vulnerable (Gu Zhongyi thinks otherwise and willingly become his right hand in the company later on). Han Yang is an adopted son of the Gu family and basically Gu Nuan's sweetheart who is a budding actor.

Important Characters:

1. Lin Yunsheng - Lin Yunxing twin. Remember him he is such character I swear. He is just as unfortunate character as his twin, due to the abused and cruelty he experienced from having a high pheromone match with a scumbag alpha. He is the deuteragonist in the story. He also regressed 10 years back in time to fix his regrets in a very kickass but reasonable manner.

2. Yuan Qing - Gu Zhongyi's best friend. The husky-ish kind coz while he's loud he's reliable.

3. Liao Yan - My eternal cinnamon roll, my regret in this story. He is an important accessory in the plot won't spoil much but yeah wish there is more extra about what happens to him after but we still get to see a vignette of his past which balances things out.

Remarks:

• I do not know if it is because of MTL, but there some parts in the story that was glossed over, especially with the subordinates of his father and their arrest.

• The story is mostly about AO pairing, which some may find lacking in variety given the every possible combination of pairings in omegaverse.

• Also, I want to know what happened with Lin Yunxing's cousin, coz he's such a cutie. Anyway, I just wish there was moreee extras for him, Liao Yan, Han Yang, Gu Nuan, and Lin Yunsheng.

Liao Yan is not only a victim in this story, but the one with the worst, most tragic ending of all. Because after attempting su*cide and regaining his desire to live, he overhears his own parents talking about how much better the "new version" of their son is and how much they don't want him to change back again. So he gives up his body and dies knowing that no one - not even his own parents - want him back; no one will miss or mourn him. He was so good, so innocent and pure-hearted, and he suffered so much. And no one cared. Everyone was happier without him. It made me sick.

I get that author wanted to give LYH a way to come back to life, but she did it in the cruelest, most revolting way possible.

chapter 40 from ML!! He came clean about everything and was so romantic with his words. It really was the best confession scene I have read in a while.

That plot twist with the twin at the end of Ch 53 had me SHOOK. Won't say anything more but omg I was not expecting that at all!

also, Yuxing's omega twin brother, Lin Yuheng, both went back in time, died in his original omega body, and later got transmigrated into an alpha's body in this same timeline! Both he and Zhongyi had so much bitter guilt and resentment from the previous life and it's great seeing them working together to save Yuxing this time!

Although it was Lin Yuheng, Yuxing's twin brother, who bore this fate, and it literally killed him instead because of physical and societal pressure to be bound to that living scum 🤬 such an unusual take of the high compatibility trope, that it could also mean a terrifying shackle instead of the promised happily ever after 😭 I was so glad Yuheng could be transmigrated into an alpha and be free of his shackles 😭
