The author tried their best to make it enjoyable and moving aside the plotholes, I enjoyed it. The whole "Huaige!" and Huaige's melting heart for his Xioa pig-braid is too sweet to complain, not to mention how he spoils her like a serious tsundere. All in all, it's a good read.-
- It is discovered that the identity of ML's childhood love is actually MC so we are sold the idea that the couple was "destined" - CHECK
After all the previous cliches (which we can obviously overlook due to the nature of the novel) what I really cannot accept from the novel was the following:-
- The ML becomes a doormat for the MC. Once the MC steals a painting from ML that she gives to her father on the condition that her father put the house under her name and that he, the stepmother and the stepsister kneel and apologize at her mother's grave but when the ML takes the opportunity to buy the bankrupt company from MC's family, the MC feels betrayed by him! Seeing her angry, the ML give the company to MC.
Honestly I will never read it again.
