MTLed to the end. Just 23 chapters.

I have to say, nice!!! It may not be the best writing but I like the plot and the people very much. Even the supposed to be antagonist, the saint.

I mean, the saints in this kind of story are usually non-recyclable tr*sh. This is the first time I met a genuinely slow-thinker (not s*upid, the thinking speed is simply as slow as a sick old sloth) and petty but not malicious person in writing. Still, the things she did were definitely bad so I'm glad she got her retribution that happened to be just and also realistic. I do feel sorry for her though. I hope she'll be able to divorce him in the end, if things get too much.

Only the first prince is genuine tr*sh. He has always taken his title and everyone around him for granted. He's still a selfish shameless waste of life in the end. I guess his end can be considered a heavy punishment for someone with his mindset.

MC's father is borderline tr*sh too. The exact example of good intention, but horribly executed in action. Now his daughter, rightly so, threw him away from her life. I can't say I'm sorry for him though. He reaps what he sows. Who asks him to skimp on proper problem-solving skills and communication?

As for ML, I'm glad he is someone she knows and communicates with often since the beginning. The way he shows his love and the way she falls for him, it's just lovely and makes sense.

Lastly, I love the fact that there are many people who truly care for MC and the readers can feel it through the writing.

Finished up with MTL.

The story isn't unique, but it is a nice little bit of fluff to read while you're looking for something great.

The writing is rough around the edges, though the translator really did some work to make it bearable they can't get around the rather abrupt dialogue. The dialogue feels more like a stage show rather than an everyday life kind of conversation. It's always trying to thrust a point at the audience instead of conversing with an actual person.

The overall is fairly poor, but I like the... more>> eventual character development the antagonist gets near the end.

Spoiler

That, "Ah, that's why people hate me" moment really helps the story along.

Gave it a 4-star for the eventual payoff near the end. <<less

You read this before.

Fiancee stolen from MC only to come to regret it and face downfall. One of those, exactly the same as the rest.

Nice and short though, not the worst way to kill a hour.

A very cliche broken engagement story with the brainless prince, the white lotus saint, and the smart MC as a focus. Also, adding a little family drama with MC's father posing as a heartless father. The rest of it, same old same old. There were regrets came from the prince, the saint, and the father while MC got a new guy who loved her wholeheartedly. However, why there's a tragedy tag in this story? It's a happy ending though, well... at least for MC.

The story is the same breaking engagement story staring the usual dumb crown prince and a smart MC. For it's troupe, it's better than the average but still a meh.

This was a short and sweet kind of story. If you read the summary you know what kind of story you'll be reading. Good to pass the time. Thank you to the translators who did a great job.

It's pretty good. It's short but there is development and reflection by the FL that is great and also reflection by other characters too. Some who make satisfying realizations and others who just don't really change and remain scummy.

I don't think I need to finish the series to make a judgement on it. No matter how good the ending might be, it can't save this story.

This is a story that's too long for its plot and characters. What might work as a long-ish one shot doesn't work as a longer work - there's not enough depth to the plot and characters for that.

Characters get just enough backstory to explain their personality - but nothing more. They're pretty much all cardboard, and all of the antagonists have wisdom as... more>> a dump stat to boot. The plot is your typical 'Villainess is rejected by the ML', with one or two chapters of follow up plot, then nothing but reactions. There's no real twists or turns in the story - the plot is as straightforward as a stick.

Thinking about it some more, 3 stars might be too generous as a rating. But I'm a sucker for Villainess-centric stories, and this one in particular promises and delivers on the schadenfreude. <<less
