Review:

I almost didn't release the translations for this novel because of the offensive plot. As stated in the summary, this novel comes with a warning. The ML and the FL meet when the FL is a high schooler and the ML is very much an adult. The FL and ML's ages are never explicitly disclosed in the novel, but from other readers' reviews, it is widely assumed she was either 16 or 17 at the beginning of the novel. The ML is a POS who obviously uses women for his own needs, but he seems to have a soft spot for the FL. In fact, I'd say he's one of those ML's who treat everyone else around him like tr*sh, but when it comes to the FL, he can't help but become affectionate and gentle (even as he continues to use vulgar language). The first half was difficult for me to read because it felt like the author was romanticizing this kind of toxic relationship. If this kind of topic will trigger you, please do not read this novel.

Imortant note: The first half of the story leaves the readers with a big question mark. At this point, readers may be turned off by the ML because he truly comes off as absolute tr*sh. All I have to say to that is... His actions will be explained towards the end, and things are not as they seem.

Overall, in terms of the writing, the author does a great job setting the scenes. Their descriptions are vivid, and the s*xual tension is so thick you can cut it with a knife. The smut in this novel is probably the most intense I've seen so far with its vivid imagery and crude language. The banter between the FL and the ML is filled with chemistry, and the ML is your typical tsundere: gruff and grouchy on the outside, kind and considerate on the inside (but only to the FL and those she cares about). Long story short, the ML is completely whipped, and the FL knows it. The FL isn't as strong as some of the other female protagonists in the novels I've translated. This novel gives more of a "man and his beloved pet" kind of vibe. The ML enjoys taking care of the FL, and the FL enjoys being taken care of. Again, this is why the initial age gap is so disturbing. You'll definitely have to turn your brain off to read this. <<less

Great translation as always, never dissapoints. The story though? Can't exactly say the same.

This one felt painfully surface-level to me. It's like someone decided, who needs emotional depth when you can just drown readers in nonstop smut? And okay - I'll admit, the smut was intense and absolutely delivered. But the problem is, I never warmed up to the ML. Which is shocking because I usually love a mean, as*hole male lead. The colder and more possessive, the better. But this one? Just didn't hit.

Also, I personally disagree with the... more>> "male yandere" tag slapped on this book. If anyone's acting obsessed, it's the FMC. She's the one pining, chasing, and having her weak, traitorous body go haywire every time he breathes in her direction. Meanwhile, the ML's over there being hot during s*x and emotionally constipated the rest of the time. I've read my fair share of yandere characters, and sorry, but I'm not convinced.

And don't even get me started on the years of separation between them. Years. Where was my "nothing will keep me away from you, not even death itself" energy? I wanted unhinged obsession. I wanted him to burn down cities, cross oceans, move mountains. Instead, I got... meh. Sure, he's intense when they're naked, but take the s*x out of the equation and it's giving emotionally unavailable situationship.

Yes, there are occasional jealous outbursts, and sure, he gets violent with anyone breathing near the FMC. But it's inconsistent as hell. One chapter he's claiming she's his forever, and the next he's like "Actually, maybe we should part ways." Sir, pick a damn struggle. Meanwhile, FMC's over here simping so hard it's borderline embarrassing. Girl, pls.

In the end, it's all surface-level lust. Strip away the constant s*x and there's nothing else holding these two together. I dont feel the emotional connection. No meaningful conversations. Just a whole lot of sweat.

5 stars for the translation, carried this entire thing.

This was a fantastic book! Very gripping, intense, smut filled and romantic read.

Ki Taeju (ML) is an older man, he's gorgeous but dangerous and knows what he wants and how to get it.

Imagine his surprise when he meets Euncho (FL) she's much younger (probably around 16 but neither of their ages are given) and he finds himself falling for her. She is an active participant and not coerced in anyway.

Once they restart their relationship, he doesn't show his love in words but in actions which translates to keeping her by his side and safe.

The ending was a happy one and even with the epilogue and the extra parts I still wanted to read more.

So, if an age gap doesn't bother you and you like your ML older, gorgeous but dangerous and highly possessive give this one a try. <<less

This novel had a lot of potential in terms of drama and character development, it could have been a complex story about misunderstandings, mysterious pasts, loaded with lust in each chapter to keep the reader expectant, but the story only covers the FL who wants to be with m and that's it, in the end they leave many questions unanswered.

This story of characters with an age difference is very exciting, mature and very hot (not just because it's summer).

Euncho (FL) is such an innocent and pure young girl, but she is smart, she understands most things, she is young (15 or 16 years old) and inexperienced. Euncho starts a passionate relationship with Ki Taeju.

Ki Taeju (ML) is an attractive, dangerous and intense man, he is attracted to Euncho and starts a very hot relationship with her.

A story in a very hot summer.

This story got me smiling throughout. It was a wild ride from the very beginning to the end. Regardless of the age gap, the romance and love was there. It was a very safe and mild obsessive haven for the FC. You come to find out everything at the end and it was bittersweet to the point where I ended up wanting more chapters.
