I’ve Reincarnated into an Elf

I was chosen as a player for the 5th anniversary event of the game I was playing.

“I dedicate this to El Lyradelle, my deity and the guardian of the forest, the parent of all elves, and the mother of all mothers. May this tr*shy game perish.”

Gosh, it’s frustrating.

I’ve reincarnated, and not just as any race, but as one destined for extinction.

I am crying rn tear running down my cheeks ;-;

This this is what I always want in elf base novel and I am so glad I pick them to read

The characters all have their way of thinking and doing, have their own story to tell and my favorite part is the MC care about that

not a lot of MC do that nowadays and it feel so nice

A extremely refreshing perspective! Normally when you hear ''elf'' you automatically think of those tr*shy *** japanese novels, but a good novel? With a male elf? As the MC?? This is a first (at leasg for me). This is still in its early chapters, but nevertheless holds great potential. MC has reincarnated in the game he was playing as an elf, a race that was destined to be the first one gone extinct, so he tries his best, among beings who long for harmony and peace to the extent that... more>> they put themselves in danger, to gain the most power before calamities befall them. Now, he stands to protect his own, to ensure his and their safety in the upcoming tumultuous era of wars, but still feels conflicted at times when he is presented with the choice of saving people of other races. Should he eradicate them to erase any future risk for his people? Or should he respond to the kind elvish nature and spare them, in hopes that his action would gain them some future allies, and even possibly... a new era of harmony between races. <<less

I genuinely enjoyed this. I'm a sucker for heartwarming interactions between mother and child so I loved that part of the story.

The worldbuilding seems interesting but it's still in the very early stages so we'll have to see more.

The MC is great. Not a wuss like some Japanese MCs. But also a compassionate person willing to go very far to protect some innocent kids. And genuinely thinking about the protection of their race. Also being very protective of his mother is a big plus without a doubt.

It was really fun for the first 100-150 chapters, and then it kinda starts to feel a bit long in the tooth. The distinctive separation for me is that it felt like the characters mattered a lot in the early story, but now they just seem to exist to get to the next story beat/action moment.

Additionally, the author seems to ramble a bit. There are many times in the 150+ chapters where you could just skip the chapter and/or summarize it in a single sentence.

Lastly, while the story does have... more>> some nice unique twists/mechanics I think the author expanded the world far too quickly and failed to properly manage critical characters and expand on portions of the plot like the s*avery group. <<less
