So far its absurdly good. Don't treat it like typical cultivation novel. If you were to compare the novel to a painting, then action would be a background, you can see it, but it's not the essence, its just there to complement the foreground, which in this case would be 100% comedy. It's full of simplet but HILLARIOUS sense of humour, simple but very likeable characters and, just as Honefuusen said, borderline crass gags. On top of that the MC is so strong, that noone can tell how strong he... more>> exactly is. All he wants to do is to enjoy life in peace BUT he doesn't hide himself, his power or anything. If there is a problem, he will go and solve it.

If you want to read a good comedy based cultivation novel, there are hardly any better recommendations, if you expect clasical face-slapping cultivation novel, then I suggest you skip this one. <<less

I read the whole thing.

The ending was so normal but that was honestly sort of refreshing, it wasn't over the top, it wasn't special, it just was- as is life, sometimes things just end as they are with no special circumstances or bombastic event.

Again, I read the whole thing- wow. All 420ish chapters of the main story and I read the first three side-stories (prologues) - usually I take a break from novels because they get samey and boring, but I read this one all the way through without a... more>> break.

The story is nothing special tbh. It's basically the Chinese one punch man all the way through. This story is basically an extremely OP guy who doesn't really care about anything- but if he sees evil he deals with it and he doesn't abuse his powers to attack people at will, in many cases he even uses his powers to shield others whilst he's fighting.

The most absurd part of this whole novel is the anti-American propaganda in the 3rd side-story- in which the protagonist comes back to Earth and uses spirit energy to destroy all weapons in the USA in order to prevent war, he states he didn't wipe it out because it would cause innocent people to die and then the author goes on to note how they're now just 'fish on the chopping block' - I mean, you just disarmed the entire country that leads the worlds peacekeeping efforts, the country is gonna get invaded by numerous forces and start off a third world war/land grab for US territory and you're worried about killing innocent people? Lol. Nonsense. <<less

Great story to just pass some time and not get destroyed by tension while reading. It's pretty slice-of-life throughout. There are fight scenes but anything involving the MC is just a steamroll, which in itself is enjoyable. It ended at the right point, any longer and it would have been dragging it out.

While there is not any overarching plot, this slice-of-life-ish novel is actually a decent read. MC is alcoholic and truly low-profile. Also, MC is OP from the start and until the end of the novel, no one knows how strong the MC is. Therefore. If you expect some tension and mind-blowing fights, this novel will never meet your expectation. Nevertheless, it is a good light-hearted novel that I would recommend if you have some spare time to spend.

As good as it gets for this type of novel. I don't think some readers understand, but the protagonist is exactly as stated. He is invincible and above everyone. As it should be if the title and description are what they are.

Every single other novel with similar titles has pathetically weak MCs that NEVER live up to the novel's title until the last chapter. They take 1400 chapters to get strong, while regular people somehow keep up with them even though these MCs have cheats.

There is none of that idiocy... more>> here. The MC is unashamedly stronger than everyone.

His single purpose is to enjoy life however he pleases. There doesn't need to be something to grind for. Having said that, I agree that the author could have given him more interests/hobbies.

This story is about a Chinese One-Punch Man with a passive rebound ability. The writing is formulaic but charming. Not intended to be read as a complete story in one go, but in arcs when bored.

and wreak his brand of havoc there with no regard for anything but his own thin scruples was a mistake. There were other parts of the story where unnecessary details were added to make the MC look cool but was simply jarring as hell, such as when it was randomly pointed out that MC could strangle his friend to death anytime he wanted. But this arc was when the immersion was broken for good, and I couldn't get it back.

I am a big fan of "sect novels" and can with confidence declare that the author didnt understand this setting. The MC is boring and has no agenda, except for being a "wine-lover" -- which a) is a incredibly generic setting and clichee and b) never gets explored in depth (as if the author has no experience with alcohol). The plot progresses without suspense, the MC only fools around ("guns"). There is no sense of belonging, no responsibility, no "stemming the heavens".

Decent read, but not outstanding. The author struggled with execution, and by it's very nature as a concept. There was definitely a bit of a struggle to keep it interesting.

This is a really fun story so far. The comedy you can say it's really low class borderline crass but it's done it's job brilliantly, I nearly died laughing. The characters are likeable so far, I will probably read more from MTL since the rest of chapter are locked

A good novel, the first third is very good and the side stories are some of the best in this genre. An actual good payoff without overstaying it's welcome.

This is good. It's got the good parts of Xianxia novels, but without all the tedium and edgy bullshit. This is basically a slice of life novel in a cultivation world, but still following an overarching story even if that story is "MC's vacation tour of the immortal realms". Yeah it has the usual bs power scaling nonsense where there's basically no upper limit so they constantly run into progressively stronger people, but it doesn't matter because the MC is the strongest anyways, so it is more comedic than serious... more>> whenever there's a 'fight scene'. <<less

Probably my favorite cultivation novel I've read. I love cultivation novels and the worlds that surround them but currently I do not like the anxiety that constant power struggles and slowly growing stronger causes so this is perfect for me. I found and funny but most of all relaxing. I highly recommend if want something that is laid back.

A slice of life novel about an overpowered character who has no motivations beyond drinking wine and wanting a peaceful life. The novel is short, so I finished it, but despite its length (or lack thereof), the author was struggling to find content to make the novel interesting. If it lasted any longer, I definitely would've dropped it.

3/5 stars. It's not a bad read if you're bored and have nothing else to do.
