Desperately working on domestic affairs, but being an ordinary man, he was unable to prevent the continuing disasters or restore his domain. He was called incompetent and defeated by a neighboring country’s invasion at the age of 20.

Pleading for the protection of his people in exchange for his own life, he awakened to magical skills at the moment of his execution and transferred himself to the past to redo everything.

Returning to the time of his birth as the second son of the baronial family, he also regained the sad memories of his first life, living and dying as a Japanese person.

Utilizing the historical knowledge gained in his second life in another world and the knowledge of modern Japan from his first life, he resolves to avoid disaster and save his family and companions in his third life.

However, being still a child, he cannot achieve overwhelming power or sudden reversals. He starts with steady proposals for domestic reform, earns funds, increases his allies, develops the town, and gradually accumulates power.

Can he change history and save his family?

Is there a bright future in this world of redoing?

The grand rebellion of an ordinary man, who has resolved to fight against a history that brings one disaster after another, now begins.

Fairly entertaining novel. The MC age regresses as a newborn after dying in the future, but is also reincarnated from Japan. As result, MC uses his past and future to shape his present day's events. Chapters are fairly lengthy, the characters are likeable and have their own motivations.

MC has about 4-5 wives by chapter 100 or volume 5 give or take. Polygamy and harem is here to stay due to that. His family scene is quite adorable, especially his parents who are all supportive. His mother is very doting on... more>> him and makes him ask his requests in a cute manner or hugs him randomly. The MC is fiercely productive of his family, which is a running theme.

It is similar in a few ways with How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom, although a number of people might rate it higher since the world building is stronger in that series. Territory development and kingdom building are the main themes for both series.

The downside is that it seem like wish fulfillment series in the early volumes, but after events happen outside the MC's knowledge of the future, that's when the novel truly starts to shine. <<less

Starts okay, gets a bit boring for a few chapters than really picks up.

The start is mainly spent establishing the characters and introducing new ones and setting the background. It is also basic and average stuff.

The first few disasters are kind of dull. The scale is small, and the way MC can react and plan is limited and constrained. And since he is establishing many things together at once with no pay offs, it feels a bit boring.

Later though, as the disasters and mc's position and response along with danger... more>> increase, it becomes far more engaging. I read from chapter 100 to the latest chapter at the time of review (c239) within two days while still wanting more. The characters are now more fleshed out, while not every character is memorable, there are enough that the story can play off of them.

Overall has been good and engaging read. Just waiting for more chapters as the story is really picking up it's pace.

Edit: forgot to give the star rating, it's 4/5 <<less

What a dry novel.

Tell not show. Too much exposition - sure, let's say everything that's gonna happen, and who cares that story will become extremely predictable and boring this way.

MC unnecessarily way too young at the start as always, and all the assorted iffiness that follows.

Isekai backward AF as usual, MC introducing things they should've already mastered.

Characters feel irrelevant. Can't feel for or care about any.

Nuh-uh, not gonna waste time on it hoping it gets better.

The novel offers an engaging blend of fantasy and domestic/political strategy. It differentiates itself from standard reincarnation stories by setting the protagonist's starting point not as an overpowered hero, but as a nobleman burdened with the knowledge of his failures and the task of saving a doomed territory.

A significant portion of the story, particularly in the early chapters, focuses on Takuhir's painstaking efforts to improve the barony's infrastructure, economy, and military preparedness using his future knowledge. This domestic affairs focus provides a satisfying sense of accomplishment as he slowly and... more>> realistically averts smaller tragedies.

The narrative structure is strong, divided into arcs where Takuhir initially makes small, local changes. However, as his actions successfully alter the course of history, the scale of the threats—and the corresponding malice he faces—also grows. He must contend not only with familiar, inevitable disasters but also with new, unpredictable enemies and a growing "historical correction force."

The story explores the psychological toll of a character carrying the memories of two lifetimes of failure. Takuhir's journey is one of growth from a "plain, incapable" nobleman to a strategic leader who earns the trust of companions and powerful adults.

This novel is recommended for readers who enjoy reincarnation fantasies that prioritize strategic planning, internal political maneuvering, and character growth over simple combat and quick power-ups. It is a compelling read for those who like to see a protagonist slowly but surely wrestle with fate and alter a fixed, unfortunate timeline. <<less

A very by-the-numbers Isekai territory development web novel. MC steadily grows his territory without any real setbacks or risk. Highly capable retainers (especially women) fall over themselves to serve him. Every one praises MC for his genius and kindness while he acts humble. MC has a fervent desire to acquire rice. The usual stuff.
