However, as he tries to be a good older brother and gets closer to his siblings, things start to get twisted in strange ways…

“Shin Ju-kyung. Let’s make one thing clear.

So, is the definition of good you’re talking about possibly love?”

“Yes. It’s love.”

Isn’t it natural to love your siblings?

There's only 25 chapters right now. It's hard to say if the story will develop well. So far it's cute and endearing how the MC is trying to be a good brother. He received a second chance for a redo and wants to change his depressing future. Although he recalls how to power up, he has no experience being a warm and affectionate brother. He certainly mucks his way through which makes hilarious misunderstandings. The only trouble I had was with the names and remembering who he was referring... more>> to. I was confused if I correctly counted three adopted siblings. MC is the eldest and biological son of father. Father is a child ab*ser.

I am sad the translator dropped it. I am not sure how ratings are made on NU, but it was dropped for low ratings. It did seem to be a different and creative story which makes me sad 😔 <<less

Really love it 🥰

The MC is trying his best to become a great brother and the misunderstandings are quite hilarious too. I feel so bad for him and his father is absolute scum, I actually hate the guy so much!

Hope the translation for this is picked up and continues again, it's really good 👍

This is the first time a story's writing has made me so frustrated that instead of just exiting and finding something else to read, I felt an intense need to return here and give it a low star rating.

Honestly? Stripped down it has the works for an interesting story.

Due to his abusive father's conditioning, the MC, a powerful hunter, had little to no thought or emotion on who he is or what he wanted to do and simply followed the plans and goals his father beat into him. He succeeded... more>> it all but at the expense of the one thing he maintained some sentiment for: his siblings. He ends up killing one of his brothers, and in turn, meets his own death at the hands of the other two.

Time travel happens. MC wakes up eleven years in the past. He's long come to realize that all his actions previously had only led him to a life of unhappiness, and that he cares more for his brothers than he does his father. He now has the chance to change all of their bad endings, and thus begins the story of a man, filled with regret, attempting to be the older brother he wishes he had been.

You learn all this within the first three or so chapters. It's a good premise. It makes, as I said previously, what could have been a very interesting work. Explorations of identity, generational ab*se, remunerations on grief and loss, and even the more fun parts like hiding true abilities, misunderstandings and so on.

But the execution was so dog sh*t that it actually made me angry.

The MC was implied to be a serious, hardworking guy, who was apparently both respected and feared. But the author kept making jokes about common Korean experiences like office employee work ethic, and customer service, being a kpop stan, and "karaoke with the guys but they all mock/ignore you as you sing your heart out." And it's so inconsistent with the initial character promised that it becomes quickly apparent that the writer's intention was never for anything serious. It was just going to be brainless reading dogged down by generally relatable humor and meme jokes at the expense of the story's narrative.

Which is, you know, fine. I don't hate that in a story. Honest. I am a fan of a lot of slop and have enjoyed worked rated 3.0 and below regularly.

However, after reading the summary and then the first few chapter's set-up, plainly put, I'm feeling misled. Which, truthfully, I think is one of the worst things you can do to a reader.

Also the pacing just sucks. One line he's walking away from his father with blood dripping down his legs, and the next, with no explanation or transition given, he's doing squats in his room. This type of sudden jumping in the writing happens repeatedly.

Lastly, I find "comedy" where the punchline is someone being dismissive/disrespectful both unfunny and, frankly, annoying.

All in all, this novel is not for me.

I just want to read a good Hunter-verse BL story... <<less

Okay, so this book is... something. Kind of like a fever dream written by someone who really wanted to be funny but forgot that not every trauma dump needs a punchline. This book tries so hard to be funny but it isn't :' (

You can feel the effort, but the humor is just cringey. The MC? Also cringey. He starts off one way, then suddenly becomes a walking meme.

The plot and the MC start off kinda serious, then he suddenly turns into this overly quirky goofball who cracks jokes about,... more>> well everything. Child ab*se? Neglect? mu*der?? All treated with the same lighthearted tone. I get using humor to cope, but here it just doesn't land and ends up feeling excessive.

The writing (or maybe the translation) doesn't help either. "Tell, don't show" is used predominantly.

The pacing is chaotic too one second he's at home, and the next he's watching his favorite idol group live while recognizing someone in the crowd?? Did I miss something? How did we get there?

The author spends so much time re-explaining things that were already clear, but then forgets to elaborate on the important stuff. Exhibit A: the MC's hunter powers. Psychic? Shape-shifting raccoon? Mind reading? Super strength? Copying abilities? The author just drops these randomly to suit the narrative.

The story also gets super repetitive: tries to bond with brothers -> chaos -> hides identity -> gets hurt -> recovers at home -> rinse and repeat. And the emotional parts? Barely there. Don't tell me the brothers visited him while he was unconscious show me the moment! I wanted feelings, not a summary of the events.

Also, huge focus on one brother while the others are stuck in background.

Overall: could've been funny, could've been emotional ended up being neither... maybe I am a bit harsh. <<less
