On a sunny afternoon, Kyle finally received the long-awaited acceptance letter to Hogwarts, the prestigious thousand-year-old wizarding school.

At Hogwarts, Kyle led a fulfilling life. Besides attending classes, he spent his free time cultivating magical vegetables, tending to enchanting flowers, or venturing into the dark, forgotten chambers of the castle to provide emotional support to a small creature abandoned for centuries.

Dumbledore: “Kyle is a courageous, kind, and sincere young wizard.”

Professor McGonagall: “The Headmaster is absolutely right. Kyle never breaks the school rules.”

Snape: “Ah, yes… indeed…”

Professor Quirrell had thought the same—until one day, he opened a trapdoor and stumbled into a room full of Chomping Cabbages.

This story suffers from the typical "Chinese fanfiction MC syndrome, " where the protagonist is overly perfect, always a step ahead, shameless, and obsessed with money. The author also altered some characters' backstories, but it wasn’t significant enough to affect the overall plot.

I initially enjoyed the beginning—it had a pleasant slice-of-life vibe. However, I had to drop the novel after the Philosopher’s Stone event. The protagonist, who is a year older than Harry Potter, is just 12 years old during this time. Yet, he boldly reveals to Voldemort that he... more>> knows about the Horcruxes and even threatens to tell Dumbledore about them. While disguised, he somehow expects this to work, despite being one of the most notable students at Hogwarts and a recipient of the Second Order of Merlin. It’s absurd to think his disguise wouldn’t immediately fail.

Throughout this sequence, I kept wondering: why would the protagonist act so recklessly? The sheer level of s*upidity was too much for me to handle. I’m dropping this novel. <<less

Just the right amount of plot adjustment to make it creative, without derailing too much so much is recognizable. Simply masterful it enchanted me for 4 days till I finished it mtl. Mtl has issues like translating names or charms or messing up tenses but looks like translation will fix most of it. Cannot not reccomend

This is the one series that truly deserves the comedy genre, wow Kyle, the MC, is beyond devious in such a refreshing childlike way. The plot is really slow, Currently, at chapter 41, I wouldn't say there is much plot development as in I really have no idea what could be a plot point in the future. The characters are good, and worldbuilding is okay and not greatly expanding upon.

edit: at c60 - not plot progress either - maybe a few slight hints, but no more

I have never read the original Harry Potter books, nor do I remember much of the movie adaptations, but I personally really enjoyed this a lot. However, since I binged about 500-600 chapters in one go before catching up to the then most recent chapters, I can’t really say I remember most details very well - about 200-300 chapters since then equates to around 150-200 days, and starting from around the 900 chapter mark, four chapters have been released daily until the 990 ish chapter mark at which point the... more>> rest of the remaining chapters (12) were released in one go. That is to say: my opinion is heavily biased towards the most or more recent ending chapters.

I will say, the translator (s) working on this novel have done a phenomenal job and I have seen little if not any mistakes in grammar or translation, which has highly contributed to the experience being pleasant.

The beginning starts off as a typical transmigration novel - guy transmigrates into a world that they know about and use that to their advantage. However, this feeling of exploiting prior knowledge as transmigrators or regressors do fades away with each changed major plot points as a result of Butterfly Effect and the MC starts to feel a lot like a natural part of the world. However, I do have to mention that as a result of the MC introducing new factors and changing the outcome of plot points, the original trio (Harry, Ron, Hermione) take a more passive role in the story.

Besides the MC, the author also introduces one new character that serves as a female love interest as well. Their relationship builds up over time and feels quite natural, unlike other novels where female leads fall feet over head for a male lead.

That being said, the ending does not seem rushed at all and is quite satisfactory - ending on a high note. I highly recommend for non-diehard fans I’d say. 10/10 <<less

Going to start off by saying apsisodia is mostly correct, the philosophers stone arc really s**ked and some others aren't much better. I thought I might lose interest in this a few times but powered through and now that I'm caught up I can say I'm more invested then ever.

Now, I'm no Harry Potter head, haven't touched the franchise in 15 years (except for Hogwarts legacy) so my need for super lore accurate dialogue or characters, events or gizmos and spells is quite low. But the author does seem to... more>> be a fan, as it feels pretty good. There is an addition of new characters and extra screen time for existing ones that all feels appropriately written. The worldview also includes Fantastic beasts and where to find them, something I was entirely unfamiliar with.

Now, a warning. Harry Potter is not the main character. He is and will often be sidelined and flexed on by Kyle. Not in a malicious manner, but simply because he is a "perfect" MC when it comes to spell casting, his skill level relative to Dumbledore or Voldemort is a cut above then when they were whatever age he currently is. Essentially he is the greatest prodigy maybe ever, with exceptions for the 4 house founders and Merlin himself. He does struggle, just not a lot.

Anyways, I recommend this. Solid 4/5 with a gratuitous 5/5 officially to support the work done, its fantastic translation and update speed. <<less
