If you're searching for depth within a story, this is probably not what you want. Despite the lack of depth, the content itself if quite attractive. While the story itself is quite simple, but the quality of writing is great. It keeps you interested with new questions and the need to seek them. The blend of action, comedy and romance actually comes out quite well, despite not excelling in all three it strikes a balance instead between them. What would've been one of the best novels of it's kind ruined just because of the fetishes of the author being projected onto the chapters too often that you get sick of it... That sums it up.

The MC is actually likeable occasionally. But it's ruined when he shows his s*ave mentality and his lolicon inner beast..

The author ruins it again by his masochistic tendencies, his twin-tail fetish and his tsun-dere fetish.

The MC and the author are more likeable than the one's from the likes of Campione. The sci-fi feeling is there. The imported/borrowed characters and faux-history are also done quite well. The gag manga moments don't ruin it too much. But the MC is really full of inferiority complex and s*ave mentality. It's really annoying.

Overall it's worth reading. Best character? There's no specific one. Characters have their flaws just like real humans, just a bit exaggerated, that's all.

But if you find the stereotype tsundere twintails and beta males, you'll find it irritating throughout the story even if you find it in you to read the whole thing. <<less
