Not sure whether this tag should be added or not since there are special circumstances. Sharing it in case anyone wants to be aware beforehand. Spoiler TW for possible consent issues: ... more>>
Spoiler

the princess was sent in marriage to the lord as part of a diplomatic act. They have monthly conjugal visits that... I think whether it's consensual or not is up to the reader to decide. But I don't want to necessarily label it dubcon or noncon as I feel like that doesn't credit the princess's agency and choices. I do think it walks a very fine line, and one descriptive quote/line from one such night could be taken as dub/noncon based on interpretation of what the prince says. Just read with caution if it's something that can affect you, and just know that the prince seems to genuinely love her while the princess is focused for most of the story on protecting her heart. But to me, it's clear she's been seeing over time that he is a good man, and she has also been slowly falling for him even if she's been trying not to care. I do believe that consent should be clearly established, but people and relationships are never so clearly defined from one moment to another, and sometimes people make do within their specific contexts according to their own inner priorities. This relationship and the descriptions of their intimate moments reflect that for me.

I did really enjoy reading this. Make sure to MTL the last chapter, which yes ties everything up extremely quickly, but at least there is some closure. It seems like the author faced lots of negative reviews on the raws, and that may have influenced their ability to keep writing more vs. ending it early. But I think it's worth reading overall, and it had a ton of potential to be a great longer story. <<less

I want to give this story full stars but I feel that this story was incomplete. I check the raw but sadly, the story also ended at chapter 16. Really, I couldn't get enough of this novel because it's so heartwarming and sweet.

Spoiler

I want to see more of the prince and the princess being lovey dovey. I also want to see the adult MC and the man she ended up marrying in the future. Sadly, I wouldn't be able to see it.

I didn’t realize before reading that the story is only 16 chapters. The ending felt a bit abrupt but overall it’s a complete story.

This is a short fluff piece where the MC finds herself in a better life and her presence brings her parents together. Very cute.

An absolute masterpiece. A perfect fairy tale with beautiful people, magical events, a child, and a happy family with a happy ending. It is both exciting thrilling yet comfortable and just amazing. I love this book. Feels reminiscent to kind of the Chinese koi fairy tale story if you know about that one because it has to do with luck and fortune and a god very lightly in this one at least. But for me I really prefer this one because it has to do with a happy family in... more>> the end and just a lovely story that warms my heart to read. It's just so perfect and magical. This is truly like a great fairytale to me without any underlining morals teaching perse that old fairy tales have.

If you want an exciting and perfect kind of beautiful fairy tale of a romance and happy ending with a good family then I don't know what else to say because this is it. A true masterpiece.

Note: ch 16 as of now has not been completely translated. So you should try to find maybe a mtl of it, especially because even in the current translation that is not completed of chapter 16, they actually also skipped a small scene that occurred which you will see in the original. Fyi. <<less

This story has the potential to be a 5 star. Unfortunately, that remains as a potential as the ending feels like an abrupt end. The plot and setting had the potential of being a feel-good, slice of life novel but alas, the author wants to end this story as soon as the plot progresses. Hence, you have this unsatisfactory feeling when reading the last chapter. I don't even feel furious for such a let-down ending, I just feel sad for the unrealized chapters left unwritten.

Alas, too short, cut off halfway!! What was there was good, 5 stars no questions asked, it just needed to be at least twice as long : (
