While toiling away at Altwood Duchy, I worked myself to death and actually died.

When I opened my eyes, I found myself in the past, and I was determined to seek revenge for my overworked demise.

During my time as the steward, I swore to ruin the arrogant Duke’s territory and make him pay for his misdeeds!

Wasting the budget in all the wrong places and entrusting the fields to an infamous layabout, attempting to sabotage the crops…

“Isn’t this an enormous harvest like never before?”

“Thank you. The steward saved us!”

Strangely, everything seems to be going well!

I even managed to get back at the Duke himself this time.

“You’ve laid a hand on me, so you must take responsibility. I need you, Nelly.”

Such an unexpected twist? No, I still need to seek revenge.

Duke, please just go down without a fuss!

she sent the destructive clutz over to the dukes office

even though it failed that was the only malicious scheme in my opinion. She dosent seem to corrolate that improveing the dukedome helps the duke instead of hinder. Everyone around her know she is acting suspicious but just accept it because only good things happen which for the paranoid duke I feel like a bit of a stretch. Its fun and light hearted but I wish the MC actually had a single malicious bone in her if she really thinks the duke killed her. <<less

The novel seems to be pretty good it has a bit straightforward plot and seems a bit funny hopefully they complete translating and post more chapters.

In the first chapter itself, you can see the main lead likes the female lead and does not allows her to go on vacation.

During the break, she eats his pudding and gives her salad to him. The main lead happily accepts it, little did he know that the pudding he was supposed to eat contained poison, and the female lead died on the spot (so this is reincarnation).

After coming back to life (past few years) the female lead thinks that because of overworking she dies since she's been working for three constant years almost without a break so she assumes that this is all the Duke's fault (ML).

Therefore she wants Revenge on the main lead without realizing that he has been falling in love with her.

The funny part of the novel is that each time she tries to ruin things, it works opposite to the result she thinks.

In the future Lionel (ML) proposed to Nelly (MC), and she accepted his proposal

This novel is the definition of "failing successfully"... AND I LOVED IT! The way it's written is so soft and bubbly, FL has some really funny conversations that made me chuckle a lot and the "in love" ML is just ON THE POINT!
In the first 45 chapters, ML is a bit suspicious and doesn't trust her by thinking the way of "she is too good to be true". Then he gets a bit soft and accepting, THEN BOOM. He understands what this feeling is called and turns out to be a complete dream boy.
The real romance begins after chapter 65. I'm not complaining because the story and the plot are equally satisfying too. There is real stuff going on in the background and unlike some novels of this genre, it makes sense.
Ah, I have to mention the smoothest declaration of love! I REPEAT! THE SMOOTHEST!
There were two negatives:
1- I wish I could unsee AI art and greedy ad placements on the Salmonlatte site. There are many talented beginner artists that draw these stuff for dirt cheap. It doesn't feel good to see stolen art style on the top of stolen novels. Anyway, use an ad-blocker guys, I'm not even against ads but in this case they deserve it!
2-The side stories that made me cry rivers... The author wrote about ML's past but began with his childhood, I mean, we already knew the stuff from his interactions with the crown prince, if the author began the story with Nelly's death and kept that magical stuff short and focused on MCs marriage or pregnancy that would be PURRFECT. But like I said, the crying was quite satisfying. Gosh, my heart hurt so much.

That's it. Entered the favorites list pretty easily, %100 would read this again.

I love it.

I like that the FL is competent without having to force it. It's also funny how she tries to seek revenge in the funniest ways.

I like that the ML wasn't just randomly attracted to her. There's flow and reason.

Loving the story so far. I laughed a lot at the FL's attempt at petty revenge. Shes super adorable, especially when she tries to 'run' away or 'heeheehes' when plotting. Its super cute how everyone just accepts how weird she is and just considers her endearing.

A light read full of comedic misunderstandings~ Our protagonist travels back in time full of indignation at her working conditions and intends to get revenge on her demanding boss. Only... she's too diligent! good at her job! strangely charismatic!

I like this story because I don't think the comedy comes from having a protagonist straight man and weirdo caricatures (not that those aren't fun to read), but instead from semi-realistic misunderstandings of moderately strange characters (including the protagonist!). It's grounded in a light-hearted reality, and everyone in it has their own... more>> charm. <<less

In hinde sight the title should have given it away but I'm typically look at the cover and decide if I'm interested or not... this isn't a hard no but not a hard yes due to some decisions of the MC. Nothing wrong with the writing or translation (Tl is good). The problem is the type of revenge MC commits.

If u generally like miscommunication where the MC does something and that action is overinterpretated positively then this is for u. I tend to like this sort of genre too but... more>> it has to meet a certain criteria and this just isn't it. There is a difference between petty behaviour and possibly destroying livelihoods (obviously it works out in the end but the MC should know better after what she went through). This isn't a story about a villain or wanna be villain intentionally trying to destroy things but having good outcomes so the mc's actions don't make sense.

Spoiler

In one chap she sets a worker up for failure. She knows this worker is clumsy so she plans to send the worker to the Duke so she can hinder his work and she herself knows that the Duke might not stand the worker and might fire her but she does it anyways???! WHYY DO THAT

in another chapter she plans to destroy all the crops the Duke needs to harvest to make ends meet to feed all the workers??? Make that make sense her actions would hinder and trouble everyone if she succeed. She isn't aware that if the Duke fails to meet the demands of the Queen he gets send to war but she at least use some critical thinking since she is a Manger to determine that the farmers would get in trouble for her behavior and if they don't meet their quota they don't make Money.

The type of thing I was looking for was something she did only once; giving him sugar instead of salt. That was harmless.

The author could have found other tactics to make the plot work. <<less
