As the second son of a renowned Swordmaster, Jin’s sword skills were anything but impressive, leading to his father’s disdain. To make matters worse, only death flags were waiting for him as the game’s antagonist.
However, the man reborn as Jin knew something– In place of talent for swordsmanship he had an unparalleled gift for magic that surpasses human imagination. Yet, he has no intention of exploiting his knowledge to seize power, nor does he desire to steal the game’s heroine away from the protagonist. All he desires is a peaceful life alongside his maid, Mea.
Yet, the course of the story doesn’t quite allow for such peace…
Embark on a journey into the world of this villainous aristocrat, as he longs for the tranquility of ordinary days with his loyal maid. Uncover the twists and turns that fate has in store for this unexpected hero.

This is highly confusing on many points, for example, Writer even hinted that Mea was probably fanning the flames of bad rumors.
I tend not to think about it and shrug it off. Most likely not important at all.
Anyways, I like the fact that only rumors were spread and actually helped MC stay lower-key. He's an OP Villain after all. (But again it was only a few chapters till he was exposed) In the end, the Author was not contradictory with the main character's object of loyalty to the heroine.
EDIT: It was explained later why she was his maid but it also made no sense at all. Now it feels like she only got with MC out reminder of her first love?
