Shu Tang woke up one day to find the world gone mad; humanity was no longer content with just male and female, creating six ABO genders instead.

Shu Tang felt she might be one of the common betas, making up 80% of the population—non-aggressive, not too sensitive, quite peace-loving, and without anything extra to her person, just an utterly ordinary beta.

Then, on her adulthood test: Supreme Alpha!

Shu Tang: ?

Shu Tang’s spirit is a cat. Supported by her SSS-tier spirit, she not only interned at the federal secret sanatorium but also got matched with a fragile omega.

When visiting her delicate fiancé, she mistook 10 for 01 and entered Restricted Area No. 1.

In the Restricted Area lives “Patient No. 1”.

An unbeaten legend, the grand leader of the federation, known as the pioneer of human nuclear weapons.

This leader is an omega, with a merman as his spirit—no secret there.

However, due to his monstrous combat abilities, the discussions usually aren’t about whether he’s omega, but whether he’s human at all.

After a psychic outburst, he became a “monster.”

Wherever he resided turned into the Restricted Area.

Those who trespassed met grim fates.

Shu Tang entered the Restricted Area.

Reportedly, her fiancé was too frail to fend for himself.

She saw her fiancé’s terrifying, silent figure in the dark.
Shu Tang noted: He must be shy.

She saw her fiancé’s fishtail in the sea, water dripping down, his complexion pale and eyes pitch black.
Shu Tang noted: Low blood sugar.

She found her fiancé’s voice hoarse, never speaking, only emitting beast-like, raspy threatening sounds from his throat.
Shu Tang noted: Quiet by nature, not talkative.

Shu Tang managed to get out.

An alpha asked: Did you see any terrifying beings?

Shu Tang: “Are you talking about the blue rose?”

Other alphas: ?

Blue rose? Who?

Cat, blushing: “He’s nice, just not very healthy.”

Other alphas: ?

Why would she be blushing?

Later, everyone thought Cat a was the one who most relied on the grand leader.

But they didn’t know—

To him, Cat was the blue rose, his spiritual support, his lifeline, his entire conception of living.

She was the one he clung to as he withered.

And in her presence, he grew silently.

There are some stories that were so good that I am not willing to see what chapter I am at because I don't want to know how many chapters are left. While there are some stories where I kept counting how many chapters are left with the mentality of holding on because there are only few chapters left. Well, this story is the latter. It has a good synopsis and honestly, it could've been good if we just subtracted the ABO world. It just looked redundant and nonsense. Neither of... more>> them look their own gender. The FL doesn't have any ferocity or characteristics that an alpha should have. The ML doesn't have any characteristics of an omega. In short, this ABO set up just added some confusion to the story.

Second, I kinda hate the several misunderstandings between them. But it's understandable due to the communication barrier so I'll reluctantly let it pass. However, it's undeniable that it's kinda tiring and frustrating.

Third, I don't like the FL that much, especially at the beginning. Maybe it's because I have an expectation for her. That she's an A. With an SSS level glands at that. So I was expecting that she's actually strong but no. She's a crybaby, and again, nothing like an Alpha. It looks like the author just added that characteristic for her just to add some color but that's just it.

Meanwhile, the plot revolves around the healing of the mermaid. Though we didn't see him completely healed (without the fins) but he's in that process nevertheless. Also, the ML is really my only salvation in this story. He's my favorite because he has a very interesting character design. He's ferocious, but he's like a large dog towards the FL. He's very powerful but he's insecurities are very vivid. He's cold but his heart belongs to the FL completely. He's supposed to have a cold character but sometimes, he's childish, funny, and very easy to coax. I like his contradictions.

Overall, it's a story which, I suppose, has some redeeming qualities but to me, I won't say I like it very much. 7/10. <<less
