Everything is carefully selected and is cream of the crop imo. it sticks even after you're done and doesn't blend into the many, many other danmei out there that rely on tropes to carry the story. Disclaimer: This list is made with my own tastes in mind, but if you like a healthy amount of angst, amazing characterisation and a gripping plot, this list is also for you. This also means that most are popular danmei and you probably won't find many hidden gems. I will include every single danmei that I believe is worth rereading (so that's kind of the standard for all the novels on this list).
