Fang Zhiyue is a clumsy and honest man.
After being sold into the Si family, although his wife soon passed away, he remained there wholeheartedly to care for his aging father-in-law and the daughter left behind by his wife.
Later, his father-in-law also passed away, leaving him and his stepdaughter Si Yao alone at home. He became obsessed with finding a husband for her and having a daughter.
He never imagined his stepdaughter would set her sights on him.
Si Yao was aloof and distant by nature, unable to shed a single tear even when her biological mother and grandfather passed away due to illness.
She also had another problem: an intensely controlling desire, demanding complete control over anything she cared about.
She knew she was abnormal.
Mercifully, there were few things in the world that she cared about, and she had always been adept at disguising herself, so no one noticed.
With her mother and grandfather gone, she was left alone at home with her stepfather, Fang Zhiyue. She’d given him the chance to leave, but he’d insisted on staying, even making ridiculous promises about taking good care of her on behalf of her mother and grandfather, and seeing her marry and have children.
Si Yao scoffed, unconcerned.
Since he wasn’t leaving, he could stay. The Si family wouldn’t need him to eat.
At first, she didn’t care, but then, he haunted her dreams every night, like a demon possessed.
Si Yao’s usually well-controlled desire for control erupted.
She thought darkly, “Since that’s the case, then I’ll have him.”
