Qi Xing is a typical spoiled second-generation rich individual who has always had an easy and carefree life. That is until he encountered his nemesis, Ye Xingzhou, the illegitimate child of the Ye family who suddenly rose to power and quickly took control of the family business.

At first, Qi Xing developed feelings for the handsome young man Lin Zhinian who was always by Ye Xingzhou’s side, but kept being frustrated by Ye Xingzhou constant interference.

The second time, he stumbled upon Ye Xingzhou’s dark secret and witnessed him pulling a gun on his own uncle, and Qi Xing found himself caught in the crossfire.

The third time, he witnessed him setting fire to the coveted sports car that Qi Xing had longed for. Filled with rage, he impulsively confronted him and ended up getting pinned down.

In public, Ye Xingzhou appeared to be a refined and gentlemanly figure, but Qi Xing couldn’t help but dislike him, firmly believing that he was nothing more than a beast in human skin.

Yo This is hilarious. The Story about arrogant NOUVEAU RICH peacock-like, mouth says what he wants, tyrant, shameless, generous money gifter, always fall in his own traps MC x hypocrite, MADMAN, gentle outside appearance different from actions and thoughts, irritate MC, cold, very very possessive ML.

I kinda like the MC, he comes off as crude by the way he talks but he is not completely bad.

For example, when they were in danger and ML was injured, he could have run away but instead of leaving ML to fend for himself, he came back for him. This is actually where ML falls for him.

. Because he saw MC doing for him something that everyone that abandoned him never did and also understood that, MC is not really that bad. MC is just very straightforward in what he thinks and very hotheaded. Haha but he's so s*upid how he makes his traps yet fall in the same traps every time.

FYI: the ML? He's a RED flag. I'm saying it again the ML is a big red flag. Once he understood he's interested in MC, he did everything to get him. So some of his actions are not good/consensual. But MC is not all innocent in some of his actions either. So If you go in, thinking ML is all rainbows and sweet, good luck. Haha For some reason I like when the MC always screaming at him "Are you crazy? You lunatic!!!!!!" Hahahahaha YO! I'm on the floor cause he's so right.

MC reminds me a little of that MC in < <The Sick Beauty Gave Up Struggling>>, cause both MCs understand very well that MLs are sick paranoid people, so they just be like ~whatever I don't wanna go into the brain of mental cases~ _~ hahahahaha.

Anyway I don't want to spoil too much, but I recommend, just be mindful. Thank you to the translator for bringing forth the story.

Warning ML is a rapist!!!!

I have already added the tag but still if you haven't seen it......

ML is a total psycho he likes MC and will do anything to make him his. Their first time was him raping MC (though MC was the one who came up with a plan to drug ML and take photos so that he can show it to the Li guy and obviously the plan backfired and ML fed MC the drug and rapped him)

Even after that he continuously forced MC to have... more>> s*x with him by one means or another. MC didn't want to do anything with him......

The second time he almost r*ped the MC because he was jealous. MC was so frightened because he didn't know it was the ML he thought someone else was raping him and the poor guy was so scared (at this point MC is in love with the ML)

And let me tell you ML felt no remorse for raping MC. And he wasn't even punished for what he did.

But this novel was so interesting like ML's possessiveness was delicious. But ofcourse r*pe might be offputting or triggering for many so proceed with caution. ML himself thought that if MC didn't love him he himself doesn't know what he would have done to obtain MC........ <<less

The whole story is just about MC and ML f*cking around all the time. The rest of the characters are just NPCs or background characters. Apart from that, nothing happens in the story.

If someone does something bad to the MC/ML, ML takes care of it straight away. It's so predictable and the lines, if you can call them flirting, are so annoying and boring. And the MC acts like a ten-year-old kid because of how often he repeats his sentences.

As you can see, the elements keep repeating themselves. Chapter starts,... more>> some event starts, MC suddenly meets ML, ML flirts with him, MC gets mad at ML and hits him, ML counters him, the two end up in bed, after the incident, MC is mad and says he's a beast, ML is like your typical CEO o"mg MC is like a cat" blah blah

By the summary I didn't expect this novel to be so funny, but it really is more a parody comedy sketch than anything else. Most of the plot revolves around the relationship between the two leads, with some background wealthy family drama. There's quite a lot of violence, and very many hospital visits, but it never gets to an extreme level as it's mostly the MC throwing fists and the ML dodging them.

The main CP dynamic is that of a possessive, ruthless and composed tyrant with a spoiled, fearless and... more>> carefree tsundere. The ML Ye Xingzhou goes after what he wants with a single minded determination, ignoring morality to reach his goals, so definitely keep that in mind concerning the tags! He does not take no for an answer, and will create scenarios where the other person has no choice but to comply.

The MC Qi Xing is his perfect counterpart, entirely fearless of the other man's ruthless nature, and willing to stand up for him and protect him even while they aren't in a great relationship. Qi Xing unknowingly is able to break down Ye Xingzhou's walls that he's put up from his rough upbringing, and become Ye Xingzhou's one exception.

The relationship is definitely a little toxic and Qi Xing's hotheaded nature is over the top in how much he bites and screams at Ye Xingzhou, but I found it amusing and overall sweet how they grew to trust and rely on each other. Don't expect a groveling arc or anything for this ML though, he doesn't regret anything he's done, and the MC also doesn't expect him to. Qi Xing sees every part of Ye Xingzhou and falls in love with him despite and because of it.

Also, this novel was written right before Falling Together, and there's a brief cameo of the two main characters of that novel in this one! I was highly amused by their introduction haha <<less

I thought the enemies to lovers trope would remind me of "Safe Journey Under the Moon", but this just proves how well that book was written. The ceo didn't seem so one dimensioned and obviously hyped up. The MC isn't as brainless. The couple in that story had sizzling chemistry, while here, I'm just reminded of fighting toddlers.

Practically every chapter makes me feel like braining the MC and seeing if he's got anything other than hot air in his head. In "Safe Journey Under the Moon", the MC is an... more>> unwilling playboy who secretly loves the ml. He's strong, he's endearing, he's vulnerable. In this story, the MC is a superficial, tasteless face-con and the ML isn't much better. I hate those stories where the couple see nothing they like in the other except their appearance and fall into uncontrollable lust for each other, which the readers are supposed to pretend is inexplicable and enduring love. Give me a break.

Maybe it gets better, by I've tried to get over this beginning hump twice and failed. I doubt a third time will be any different. <<less

This is a romance-focused novel with a bit of family conflicts and drama. Regarding the Lin guy that the MC and ML are supposedly "fighting" for, there was never a chance for him in the first place so no worries about dog blood from there. Although there is a slow romance tag, tensions are already high since the start.

The MC is a rich second-generation playboy that is somewhat bratty but not immature. He is hot-blooded, spoiled and straight-forward. I like his fierceness and how brutal he can be towards the... more>> ML because most of the time, the ML truly deserved it. Although the ML gets the upper hand most of the time, the MC never let him off easy and made sure he suffered for it. MC is also described as a very optimistic person who sees the positives in any bad situation.

The ML was described as a sophisticated s*um in the summary but he appears much more like a cold and overbearing CEO as he drop his pretense. It would've been interesting if the ML's character was gentle yet ruthless instead of your usual cold CEO which I don't really enjoy because it felt generic. The ML is not a good guy so don't go in expecting a gentleman. The MC has called him beast many times not in a "good in bed" kind of compliment but a "are you nuts" kind of way.

Warning that there are some non-cons in the novel. The MC's first time is also non-con and under the influence of drugs which left a bad taste because it was never properly accounted for. Although it was the MC who wanted to plot against the ML first, it still wasn't right for the ML to force himself on the MC as retaliation. Anyway, after that they became friends with benefits.

It's nice how MC never let go of ML's behavior and calls him out for his actions, which the ML apologized for but I still don't think it was enough. MC is also very self-aware that he's in somewhat of a lower position (?) because he's always going with ML's rhythm. A significant non-con scene spoiler:

The MC and ML started as s*x friends and their relationship turned ambiguous later on. MC wanted the ML to confess first to gain an upper hand so he tried to make him jealous (very in line with MC's character). Note that the ML is possessive, overbearing and controlling so he went crazy with jealousy when he saw how MC was going to a blind date and gay bar. When MC was at the gay bar, the ML blindfolded MC, took MC to his car, drugged MC and forced himself on the MC (not till the end).

All this while, MC didn't know it was the ML and thought it was a stranger trying to r*p* him so he was very scared and fought back crazily. It's only when the MC subconsciously calls out ML's name asking him to save him, did the ML stop. After MC realized it was the ML he slapped and beat him up. From there, the MC called out ML's behavior and the ML apologized.

I thought this would be a turning point for the MC to make the ML grovel and call him out for his previous non-con actions but the ML just apologized for this one time and they got together. I was actually hoping for some wife-chasing-crematorium because I wanted the ML to regret doing those things despite how the MC was supposedly enjoying it so I was disappointed.

I don't think this novel would've been as light-hearted if the MC wasn't so optimistic and unyielding towards the ML. It's like the MC is releasing the breath stuck in me every time he punched the ML so I can continue reading.

There are parts that I liked and disliked at the same time throughout the novel so I couldn't say it was a satisfying read overall. In the beginning, I liked the rivals relationship but disliked the non-con situation. For the latter half, I enjoyed the couple's inseparable relationship but found the MC's family drama kind of draggy.

Rounded up to 4*s due to my bias for rivals to lovers kind of plot and this was alright but an honest rating would be a 3.3*. <<less

Well. I didn't expect to like this novel so much based on the first few chapters and the non-con scenes. However, I really ended liking this one. If you choose to read this, keep in mind that this couple are a match made in heaven, even if they are a bit freaky, yeah.

Before we move forward, there is non-con and physical ab*se between this couple. They hit, bite, kick, all that. I felt like it might be their foreplay. It was hard to read the earlier chapters for me, until I realized that this is how they get their freak on.

ML is not a good person, so don't be confused on that matter. He wanted MC and he crossed boundaries to get him. He has no psychological burden.

MC is a hoot. He's basically a spoiled brat, but I really like his character and how he accepts both his (what a humble guy) and ML's flaws while being so verbally direct. He is all about his beast bastard sugar daddy. I love how he he puts everything into perspective with two words: So what?

The author did very well with the love scenes. Although not smut, smut, it was close and I actually prefer that.

By the end of the book, I fell into their pit and here I am, writing this review. I deducted 0.5 star because I was initally uncomfortable with all the physical ab*se amd non-con, but to these guys, I guess it's just a sign of their budding affection? This is just my personal opinion. <<less

If you love powerful couple, read it. It's hilarious. Both are from rich and powerful family. No money issue but just approval issue.

Just like other reviewers said, the ML is rapist. But he not a cheater at least. Also, I like the part when ML let MC do everything he like like he let him take his tie and beat up ML's brothers. ML even giving full access for MC to use his cars. ML did not say how much he love MC but his action speak it and also... more>> afterwards he did say it.

ML is the real definition "villian are not born but made", considering his childhood and past. Really opposite of MC who are spoiled since he was a kid. Even until adult, he still being spoiled not only by his family but ML also.

I like MC's attitude so much. He even dared to fight back physically and orally to ML. But as usual, ML let it be.

NGL, their relationship dynamic is really interesting tho. That's all. 5/5 for everything. <<less

This is a mixed bag of emotions for me.

It was OK, I enjoyed it but didn't love it and that was surprisingly because of the MC not the ML. I know the MC is young but his tendency to blow up at everything was annoying but at the same time his personality was what kept me reading because it was so different from the ML's that it made the dynamic between them fun to read.

The dog blood drama was mostly background scenes with the focus being primarily on the couple... more>> and I loved that. A lot of novel tend to have the couple appear together at least 70% of the story whereas in this they had scenes together at least 90% of the story. This is my favorite micro-trope. If I'm reading a romance story I want to see the couple constantly even when they're not in the couple phase.

Can't really speak on the non-con because I went into this after reading the tags. I didn't really read those chapters so I can't speak on how bad it is but their intimate scenes after were sort of fade to black so I can assume there wasn't much detail.

Anyway this was an ok read for me with no real re-read value. <<less
