There exists a genre of fiction known as Torture Protagonist Fiction.

Its purpose is simple:

Take a protagonist as radiant as the moon, crush their dignity little by little, drag them through humiliation and suffering, then watch them descend into madness before dying in despair alongside the people who ruined them.

Every supporting character exists solely to torment the protagonist.

And the NPC actors from the Transmigration Bureau have had enough of it.

“Are these authors completely insane?!”

Faced with scripts overflowing with censored torture scenes, the NPCs collectively decide on one thing:

They’re going to slack off.

The System demands ab*se, manipulation, degradation, and psychological destruction—

But the NPC actors keep misunderstanding the assignment in increasingly ridiculous ways.

A rich young master who is supposed to torment a poor academic genius instead nervously asks if they should establish a safe word before signing the “ab*se contract.”

A cruel insectoid male master meant to destroy his forced-marriage spouse’s career only ends up shyly asking the cold young general to wear his military uniform during intimacy.

A tyrannical emperor ordered to punish his disabled Imperial Tutor by forcing him to kneel quietly offers him a soft cushion on the bed instead.

System: “…”

“Just tell me whether that counts as torment or not?!”

As world after world collapses into chaos, the protagonists who were supposed to blacken and self-destruct instead become emotionally healthy, clingy, and hopelessly attached to the NPCs destined to die in the plot.

Meanwhile, the System slowly breaks down.
